[Theme] LegendX-tripin for XXKPE and XXKPH -UPDATE-22.08.11

Friends the Version 2 of LegendX-tripin is a final release the first version was initial release of the famous LegendX-tripin theme for I9003 FW XXKPE.
LegendX-Tripin 2.0
This is a final release version. Here comes the Port of THE LEGEND-X FUSION™ v3.0. Please donot get confused, by the uploaded zip file name as I named it as LegendX-tripin3.0.zip, instead of version 2.
It is going to heavily modify your system applications, So please back up using CWM before flashing. So that you can restore it if you run into trouble.
Please remember I m not responsible if you brick your phone. Do it at your own risk.
To flash you should have deodexed your FW. It is tested to work with XXKPE.
Copy the Downloaded file to external_SD and flash it using CWM through recovery and reboot.
Please press Thanks button if you like my work.

Uploaded the fixed settings file. and Fonts. Please replce them using root explorer.
If you have issues having widgets running twlauncher, either use stock launcher from the FW (TW30Launcer). Please remember you have to uninstall the previous tw3.0launcher from system/spp and install the provided TW4.5 launcher as a regular application along with the TW4Manager. The regular samsung widgets will not work, you can download the signed widgets using the TW4manager, the widgets of other applications will work fine.
Those, who have issue with TWL4, please manage with the TouchWix30Launcher from the attachment. I really dont know why it is working for some and some are having issues. It is still not stable for all devices, so till then no choice.

This is an update to the LegendX-Tripin 2.0. This does not contain the full release. So you have to download V2 from above link then download this update and install in recovery.
*Fixed 5 lockscreen
*Fixed the text colour of app being downloaded from market from back to white
*Transparent pulldownbar along with the skull
*Incoming call ring flip to silent - need tobe fixed, removed for now
*Fixed settings file.
Many other changes made....
Further update on applications wil be released soon....
If you face forceclose issue with the Phone.apk try one of the following:
Phone.apk - Modded - Flip to mute -Warning: "This MOD still seems to be unstable, but quite usable, Please use at your own risk"

Updated the Theme and used the framework and app files from XXKPH to MOD:
I have tested it and it is working fine for me no bugs yet.

UPGARADE VERSION - If you are already running the theme -Bandwidth saver
I dont need to explain the features as it is already given in previous versions.
This version does not have
- There is a slight change, the volume and progress bars are now narrow instead of regular wide bars.
- TW4Launcher - As Many people had trouble running it even with those instructions, so removed. If requests are received TouchWiz30Launcher can be modded for the theme.
- The Phone does not have flip to mute as it was crashing
- Removed New market, agin because some people compained about slow loading times of new market

it took me ages on cp'ing the files on its designated folders because if i do
(assuming that i temporarily put the "system" folder of this theme on /sdcard)
cp /sdcard/etc/* /system/etc/ - it will say something like "omitting permissions directory. (i forgot the exact message)" so as cp /sdcard/media/* /system/media/
but anyhow i will try to flash and root XXKPE again and check if i will still encounter these things. very good theme there trip007in
i can't seem to find the other lock screens and my wallpaper is the same as before applying this theme. can anybody point me where i can find it? i would be thankful if you would

Did you push all the framework files to /system/framework. No harm in cp'ing them again and make sure you have pushed Settings.apk and SystemUI.apk into /system/app. Then check >Settings>Display> Device Lockscreen and select one. Just see if that changes the lock...
The flashing part I agree, its bit tidious, but dont have any option. It takes me NMT 5 mins to cp those files. Once somebody figure out how to make updatezip functional, it would be easy.

@trip, I am using your theme. Had to reflash my FW as I made some mistake in copying the files first time and went into bootloop. Not your fault.
The theme is awesome, but I am not getting any CRT effect, is any option to be enabled? Also what is the "scroll glow"?

Activate all animation a option in settings menu. You will see the effect.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Coming from previous ICS ROM:
1) download the rom
2) boot into CWM Recovery
3) mount system (not neccessary according to others but i do it anyways)
4) wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache
5) flash rom
6) reboot and enjoy
Coming from Gingerbread (double flash):
1) download rom
2) reboot to recovery
3) wipe data/factory rest, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache
4) flash rom
5) reboot
6) will get stuck at samsung logo or something
7) simutaniously hold power button, volume down, volume up until your phone reboots and you see the samsung logo - as soon as you see the samsung logo let go of buttons (but not your phone lol)
8) mount system
9) re-flash rom with no wipes
10) reboot and enjoy
Recovery/CWM messed up?
Here is how to fix it...
1) Download uclb3 heimdal by qkster
2) open the program
3) put phone in download mode
4) click flash (leave program open when finished DO NOT CLOSE)
5) after it finishes and your phone reboots, put the phone back in download mode and reconnect to PC
6) click flash bootloader on the heimdal program you left running
7) flash, let reboot and your recovery problems should be gone

4) connect phone to PC with USB cable *don't let go of volume*

wt heck...really just dl and no issues...although I forgot to put in on my sd card, so I had to mount usb via cwm to copy it from my pc to phone...LOL

nice to know the galaxy s themes work...but shoot wifi drop and a reboot in the first hour? Haven't personally experienced it...but I've been sleeping so who knows could've happened in my sleep

Which site are you downloading from? I can confirm the dev-host works...did you get it to download without the 707 error and then it wouldn't flash? Haven't seen anyone else report your problem (not saying its your fault) could've been a server side issue

WOW MORE AOKP Than I Can Smell Awesome!

I noticed this in the OP: "EXTERNAL SD CARD MOD IN SERVICES.JAR - NOW VISIBLE WHEN CONNECTED TO PC." Can you enlighten me? I'm attempting to fix that in MIUI and AOKPBC. Actually, do both external and internal mount? If so I can pull the smali file.

That's from the original op...can't test external SD as the one I had broke...still had warranty so im just waiting for my replacement to come...

Bored with Stock-CM9, SlimIcs or AOKP? But you go crazy when you don't get your nightlies day by day? You like the SGS3 style and miss some features of the stock ROMs?
Then I have this for you!
The TWICS-Addon-Packs add a bunch of stock-apps that where ported by xda-members, some SGS3 feeling with (system)-sounds and icons directly ripped from leaked frameworkres.apk/systemui.apk/systemapps of the SGS3 ROM and many more features to your phone.
You can flash it over every CM9-nightly, SlimIcs or AOKP-Build...day by day Just download the according zip. For SlimICs-ROM you have to use the CM9-addon pack.
Instructions are for i9000, so they may differ for i9001. there are several methods mentioned in the comments.
1. Install your ROM like you do it always (wipe cache/dalvik, flash nightly, flash gapps, flash the kernel of your choice...I persnonally recommend mnics, then boot the phone)
2. Reboot to recovery and flash TWICS-CM9-Nightly-Addon and reboot.

Could anybody confirm that it's functioning

How can we use a i9000 pack for i9001?

1.Why is this thread 1 star rated???
2.Analyzing package's content it should not work.I tried and ended in a bootloop..
Wiped Cache and Dalvik Cache.

This pack is working with Arco68 CM9.

you are the only one so far who could install it without any fc's, bootloops or something similar
so why should other users also try, while the most people can't install this without issues...
i think we don't need a very unstable package from another device in this forum..

I'm testing it second day. Everything is very smooth and I didn't have any fc or other problems so far.

Tell me, how did you came to this conclusion...? This thread have 5 (OK, with this - 6) replies and only one person said it cause boot loop (which I do believe, installed it on gingerbread rom).

Anyone can tell me How to instal? I use CM9 but, I couldnt install with Cwm. It start and finish in a second. but there nothing change?

Hey!I am not stupid to install it on a GB ROM .It simply didn't work on my first try and i didn't try again.
Again:I'm not stupid!Think twice when you say something!
However i ported it to GB (i have some problems in the settings.apk) and i need some testers!

Works and works pretty ok too
Too bad tw launcher has SO FEW customization options....

4pda. I had it too. You must install cm9 and then install touchwiz. You must install it in one time(за один заход в cwm)

Yes, it isn't working, however 'AppZorter Lite' is no longer necessary to sort your apps. TouchWiz UX have option to sort grid.
Go to apps grid/list, press Menu button, select 'View type' and finally 'Alphabetical grid'.

Yes, that's true. It must be installed right after CM9. Otherwise, it won't work.

you mean new Touchwiz UX to GB? this hasn't been done even on general android software forum! looking forward to it as I can't use CM9 as my daily rom yet!

Below I wrote steps, which I did to install it.
1. Wipe cache/dalvik cache and data.
2. Install CM9 Alpha 3.
3. Install gapps.
4. Install this mod.
5. Restart phone.
Installer did a backup of existing configuration in external memory card... Maybe external card is necessary to install it?

Changing the dpi to 200 made this happen. How did you guys change it?
Edit: Ah, sorry it seems no one changed it. I thought I saw a changed one though :/.

Isn't necessary to have a fresh cm9 install. Wipe cache and dalvik cache BEFORE flashing mod will be enough. I also had installation aborted 1'st time, just try again if you get it. And yes, external sd is mandatory unless the script isn't modified to skip it if there isn't any ext sd or to save it to /sdcard directly...
Would be nice to see this launcher on GB
Also, if you get tw killed by ram manager, make it default launcher and will stay on if you have ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 seted in build.prop

How do i change the color of the font in menus, SMS, and such? Right now it's a white text on white background so I can't see a damn thing I'm typing.

So far so good. Installation went well and looks good. Where do I find themes you have included our what do I need to do see under themes.

Does the MMS fix found here work with the latest version of this ROM? I tried testing it out yesterday with some 2.7.*.* build and it took a really long time to send and then a while later I got a text from 99999999 with a whole bunch of symbols, which I heard is the cause of SMS Split not being enabled but I couldn't find the setting for that under the messenger app.

they may not install correctly (i may have forgotten to add the script)
pull them out of the zip file (/data/system/theme)
dump them into /sdcard/miui/theme
(or just put them on the sdcard and import them one at a time if you arent using root explorer)

All those edits (for sprint) are in the build.prop, and some others for multimedia fixes, wifi improvement and battery life...

Thanks. Another question, do we still need to flash 2.3.23 first and then the new 2.8.10? Or can we install this new version with no hassle? ORRRR do we have to first flash 2.3.23, then 2.7.27, THEN 2.8.10? Haha.

OK, found themes in your zip files and moved to miui/theme. I do not see the one you have posted screens of, which one is it.?
Only thing I noticed is memory usage seems high, always in 468 to 478 in red.

According to the "OP" if you are not in 2.7.27 then first flash 2.3.23 boot up, establish internet connection, then flash 2.8.10. If on 2.7.27 then simply flash 2.8.10

2-Quick Pick doesn’t work ( I tried fixing it a lot ) fix --> download any gallery from the PlayStore
3- the status bar doesn’t appear first time after 1st boot and after flashing Gapps …. Just REBOOT and its fixed
If you find any thing else tell and give me a screenshot but don’t go upon me fix this I am not a developer … I just ported a rom I like if you can fix any thing fix it and I will put you in the credits

How to Insatll :
1- download the rom,Kernel,Vending APK,EXT4Formatter and Gapps .... and place them in your SD Card Not in any folder
2-I prefer to be on Stock ROM ..... Head to recovery ( volume UP + HomeButton + Power Button )
3-Wipe Data , Cache ... under mounts and storage Mount every thing
4-Flash the Ext4Formatter
5-Mount system again and then flash the Kernel
6-From Advanced --> Reboot recovery
7- will be in blue recovery ... Wipe data and cache
8- under mounts and storage mount system 2 times ( Must Do IT )
9-then flash the rom
10- Reboot recovery
11- Mount system 2 times again ... flash gapps
12- you are ready to go
If you are on any Cm7 or 7.2 Base and using the specific kernel .... just format system and do from the 7th step

just to let you know as already explained if you add any apk to the system/app folder you need to decompile the apk first and goto lib\armeabi and copy any lib files there to system/lib of your rom
to fix status bar you can try re-signing it with a platform key using zip signer

I was refering to your bugs list
status bar doesnt appear on boot and after flashing gapps - resigning the apk with a platform key will probably solve this

I havent actually tested it - I was just giving you the reason why it may not show the first time and the solution to make it always appear
