[Q] Wifi issues.

Why does my wifi connection disconnects and connects a lot? I am on cm7 but I know it's not a rom issue because it was also happening when I was on infused 2.2.3. I'm on the j2 leaked modem, but it also happened when I was on the i3 modem or the i4, I forget which.
I don't believe it's my router, because there's a solid signal when I test it on the laptop and on our roku.
What do you think the problem is and how can I fix it?
Thank you in advance.
Edit: I am coming from the Jordan's j2 rom. It first started happening on the infused rom. Restored back to stock and went onto the infused froyo. Haven't had a problem on that rom. Then j2 came out and flashed that. All was good until last night. Flashed cm7 this morning and made sure I did a full wipe. It's still happening.

Any ideas? Did a full wipe and flashed cm7 again. Back on i3 and still the same. Restored my apps without data through tibu.

I have the same issue. Stock unrooted.

Yeah. It's getting annoying. Lol ill try to go back to stock using gtg's ultimate unbrick. It worked last time I did that.

Okay so what I am noticing is that the wifi on my phone is constantly scanning for connection. and when it finds my wifi, it tries to connect with it, even if it is already connect. so it forces it to disconnect, then connect again.
anybody know how to stop this?
I'm stock and don't have the issue, also have tried Infused/GSInfuse and didn't have the issue, though I didn't stick with either of them for more than a few days before going back to stock. I use mine on wifi at home and work without problems at all.
Hmm yeah I don't know why it's doing it. It didn't do it before. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Maybe try FXR WIFI Fix and Rescue
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.brilliapps.wifiandmorefixer&hl=en
Cm7 does that that's why I don't run it

It was happening before cm7 so I know it's not a rom issue. Started to happen in infused and carried into the gb leaks. Stopped for a while, and it's happening again.

Update: wow so far my wifi hasn't disconnected on me yet. So I'm guessing it's is something with the system binaries or whatever you want to call it. Before it would keep scanning and force to disconnect and try to connect again with my router. Still testing but so far so good. I would recommend that app to anybody who's having the same problem as I was.

Crappy signals?

I finally got a rom that I like, its fast and stable but now my wifi is crappy. My wifi shuts off out of nowhere then comes on for a while then goes away again. Is there a tweak I could flash? Or should i use a new kernal?
Im using the A2 kernal and have the adrenaline shot.

you can also search for wifi problems.
you can also factory reset, wipe everything esp data and reflash if nothing works.

Many ways. I think the common link is the wifi config file. I usually just delete and force a new file creation. Too complicated to explain.

[Q] UCLB3 kill my wifi

ok this is the problem, I installed the modem UCLB3 but my unit is hot, so I decided to return to UCKL2, but to restart my phone and discovered that the wifi did not work, sign appears but I can not browse or connect to the internet market.
I restored my phone with odin but neither worked.
Looks like some other issue, not of modem. I installed LB3, back to KL2, and now on LB3 again. Phone isn't hot, and wifi is working as well.

[Q] Error setting up Motorola a/c.

Have been facing this error since they day i flashed stock Deodexed ROM on my atrix and whenever i click on system updates or on social networking app asks me to setup an a/c which i am not able to.
It shows its communicating with the server but after few sec it shows connection failed i have tried connecting it through 2g, 3g, 4g and even WiFi with few other roms too but just helpful.
Hope i get a Soln for this error.
Try downloading Cheesecake and switching to the default production server from there... worked for me.
Or the actual file you will need to look is in /system/etc/motorola/com.motorola.blur.service.blur/defaults.xml
It should read:
<map><string name='blur.service.update.check_order'>fota,bota</string><string name='blur.service.ws.useApnProxy'>0</string><string name='blur.service.ws.masterCloud'>master-blur.svcmot.com</string></map>
Sent from my mind using XDA
Will try in few min
Sent from my MB865 using xda premium
What i see is
<map><string name='blur.service.ws.useApnProxy'>0</string><string name='blur.service.ws.masterCloud'>master-lab.blurdev.com</string></map>
This.
Do i need to change something.

Yes, it looks like you are on the master-lab.blurdev.com server as default. You can try and change it in the xml to the line that I posted in the previous post with root explorer, then reboot, see if that does it..
Or like I said, you can just switch the server in cheesecake back to the production server.. but not sure if that's a permanent fix or not... but it does the trick.
I have suffered from this problem for a while when trying to build my own rom - and that default.xml was the file I changed to make everything ok.
Damn cheesecake - soo good, yet it can mess you up..
Finally cheesecake made it i am now able to check for updates and my social networking app too is working. Thx.

dude i was just noticing this problem on my phonee sweet!!!

Wifi gets stuck on Obtaining Ip address.

Recently my wifi has gone cook and I can't connect to my wifi even though it says I have 4 signal bars. It starts with obtaining ip address, saved, then starts obtaining ip address again. Btw yes it is my wifi, all my other devices have perfect wifi connection. Thanks in advance guys.
Just noticed it said "avoided poor connection" but I don't have that setting checked. Either doesn't make sense since it clearly says 4 bars.
Forgot to mention that I tried most wifi fixes but I doesn't seem to fix anything. Help guys

Ive had the same issue too. It will randomly disconnect from my wifi and get stuck at obtaining ip address. Ive found that rebooting my router (unplugging for 30 seconds) will get it to connect again. Im currently trying out "wifi fixer" from the market to see it will help keep it from disconnecting again. So far so good.

Changed Channel!
I loaded the free wifi analyzer from google play and found that my airspace is quite crowded. I changed to a more open channel and it is working like a champ! (prior to this I had to reboot the router.)
