Basically I do not own Galaxy y.
This is NOT MIUI v4 but a themed version of GB MIUI.
I can port miui to galaxy y with the help of some non-noob people.
Basic knowledge required

Important-You should know how to get log cat at boot.(don't know, Google it)

Download the above file.
Open the rom go to system/framework.
Open framework.jar and replace the classes.dex with the downloaded file.
Then flash the rom and post the logcat

thanks found the bug ill post debugged patch
patch one added check 2nd post op.
follow the instructions given there and give me the log
still not boot...
logcat says :
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
tried to put files on system/bin and it didnt boot
the second logcat
--------- beginning of /dev/log/system
E/usb_portd( 1350): Open /system/etc/usb_portd.conf failed No such file or directory
E/usb_portd( 1350): Unable to open or parse the config file: /system/etc/usb_portd.conf
so i copy again another file and not boot

Don't make any changes , just use my fresh rom(without any changes made by you)
Then download the patch , go system/framework , framework.jar then replace classes.dex

You really shouldn't call it MIUI v4 since MIUI v4 is ICS only.

Hey ronak look the logcat at the post...the first i dont changed nothing and the error is because theres no adb file in system folder...
I just putted the adb in system folder...

Hi Guys,
I am trying to port CRT effect to Galaxy Y.For those how don't know what CRT effect is can view the video.This is a test version so don't expect it to work on the first time.I need some testers for the CRT effect.
Instructions
the file is flashable Zip
Backup first
Download the file
reboot to recovery
Flash the zip file
clear dalvik Cache
reboot
it will boot but will not have CRT effect you have to upload the logcat for finding the problem
then report here or on my facebook group

I am using the files from Repencis v3 - DXLC1 so try this on that ROM.or you can try it on stock DXLC1 ROM also.
the file is flashable Zip
CRT_Effect.zip
apply this zip through recovery
then clear dalvic cache
then boot into phone and manually copy the services.jar file to /system/framework using root explorer
then reboot to recovery and wipe dalvic cache again
then report and give logcat
Will it work on all stock roms ?

mimics an imperfection of an older technology, that the new technology has already gotten rid of. it's as ludicrous as 7-segment-digit-display fonts on a hi-res display.

the phone booted right ??
press power button 2 -3 times to lock and unlock the device and post the logcat.more changes have to be made for the CRT to work.

All GB ROMs will have this effect already built in.only thing we have to do is enable it.but in this device it is not even configured or enabled

you are getting bootloop or stuck at boot logo ??
have you cleared the dalvik cache ??
send the logcat

I think that is the reason for boot looping.without logcat i cant do anything.

BTW Bro what is the base firmware of the framework-res and services.jar? Can you use stock of DXLC1? Coz most users are using DXLC1

so i cant post my own opinion now? im just saying, its just little effect. i love your kernel, and u would brick my phone for it. but this. it puts my phone in unusable state where i need to reflash if something goes bad. what do you. get? . i hope you see my point. im not saying yout post is useless. but for me, its not worth the effort. Sorry if i sounded harsh.

You may state your own opinion, there are no rules against that. But please respect the developers work.
You may say it is not worth the risk of bricking ur phone, but for others as myself CRT effect is awesome stuff.. I know its that simple effect when you turn off a cathode ray tube TV or something similar. But it adds some effect that can make ur phone unique in some point..So if you have ur own crititics about this thread.Please save it to urself, and vivek is just asking for testers, you may or may not test it.

hmm strange... i just downloaded the file from the link i gave and it is installing fine for me!...
what did you change in the update script for it to work for you?
Can't install .zip file either. Aborts after a few seconds saying "can't find ..sd/ice eclipse v1.0.zip (bad).

Heyy guys, I recently installed the Nightly builds CM9 from galaxyics.com in my galaxy fit. It doesn't work. The boot animation is not present. After the boot up, all you can see is a black screen with the notification bar which is hanged. As per the instructions I was running Android 2.3.6 XXKPP and nothing was modified in it. This releasee is not usable. I know a bit about flashing the ROMs. I did the procedure correctly. Please help. Let me know if I'm forgetting something. Do let me know, what is the problem?

i recomend this usefull patches, make by buzz173 , mr.faridcom and myself(goutamniwas) http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1704305 in this page can find all patch in one flash zip. i dont know if patch for performance work on fit but anyone try it and report if it work.

Now your environment is correctly set up and you are good to go for V6.
Installation

2. Make sure to erase the .pdf extension, so that it is called "V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC10.sh"
3. Place V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC10.sh on your /sdcard
4. Run V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC10.sh via ScriptManager as root.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen. (Read the V6Superchager-Thread for more informations.)

PARANOID has CM9 as base thats right, but never than less it's another ROM and needs it's own modified Services. Jar

start the script again, it would tell you if its working or not.

how long should it take to reboot?
mine just turned off and isn't booting at all for the first 10 minutes...
EDIT: guess i had to boot it on my own hehe, im wondering why didn't it reboot...
scipt is working 100% as it says but I don't feel the difference...

Yeah why not there are 3 solutions for it
1.(Experimental) take out all the wifi related files of the Rom that is written in Feras rehman's guide make a diff patch of it by taking correct Meta-inf and flash
2.(Experimental) Unpack kernel..find folder named or related name "wifi" then delete it from there and replace it with the folder you took in the Rom..repack and flash
3.(last option) Contact my good friend adityaf who is porter of all miui roms for gfit

Goto system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant
Replace the suplicant file from cm7, permissions and reboot
Also replace hodtapd.conf to be safe

Tried.. not working. Sometimes it says "Unsupported driver 'wext'." in logcat.
