[Resolved] Boot animation request [PORTAL] - General Questions and Answers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwOrW-l1pSQ
I would love this boot animation for my Motorola Defy (MB525).
Does anyone know where I can get it?
I've tried searching multiple forums, but perhaps I'm just searching the wrong things..
Thanks
Nevermind... less than 10 minutes after I post this I find one extremely similar... Sod's law I guess!

I also made a bootlogo for before the boot animation... well, I edited a picture and converted it, to be installed using SplashTools (needs AndExplorer installed).

It's 480x182, which is for Motorola Defy/Motorola Defy+.. but there are plenty of other Portal-based bootlogo's. Just google

Is there something similar for the hero?
Hey that's cool, I wouldn't mind getting that if someone makes it.
... Guys, that is the bootscreen. Just put it in the bootimage.zip and edit the XML.
Wow, I resized and set that up for the hero months ago based of another guys work for a Droid i think...something with a larger screen. May have been Nexus.
Either way, its been up for a while.

I meant one that's sized correctly (unless it is already) and customized/has hero related text :\
And thus, there was Christmas. Enjoy.
And sorry about the sound (THX Startup sound)... you may just have to live with it.

Wallpaper request

The wallpaper i'm looking for came as the default wp on a custom rom a few weeks ago. Its black, kind of carbon fiberish, but was in a circular pattern. I'm going through my old rom downloads now looking for it, but back when it first came out, it wasnt in the regular wallpaper folder. If i changed my wallpaper i had to re-flash the rom to get the original back. I know it had to be there somewhere, but i had a hard time finding it. I'm not sure which rom it was, there's quite a few out there. Thanks for any help, i appreciate it.
sounds like the wallpaper that comes with damage control

[REQ.]Boot/Down animations

I am as foreign to making computer animations as Rosanne is to a treadmill. So, I was wondering if it would be impossible to make a boot animation that just looked like a tv turning on, starting with the dot going to the horizontal line expanding to a fuzzy screen, then "changing channels" to the home screen?
Then for the down animation, could it be made to look like the screen breaks and the phone just dies?
Impossible?

That link did not answer his question, unless you meant for him to re-post in that section. I'll try to make something like that, I'm bored at the moment.
EDIT: Spent hours on this, and I cannot get Gimp image editor to do what I want it to do. Sorry...
EDIT2: Got a shutdown

Now that is very cool. Thank you!
The power on screen is easy. The channel changing is the only thing I have a problem with. I don't know what images you want to change from and to. If you sent me some images you want to change, I got an idea of how I will do it.

[Q] Status 6 Gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip

I have not found any info on Atrix 2(MB865) and this error, have seen many with the error, just not the Atrix 2(MB865). Any thoughts?

After some further research, I installed "7-29_GApps_Minimal_4.4.4_signed". It was the only GApps version I could get working.

Status 6 means the updater script was written/edited improperly. Did you attempt to modify it?
No. No mods. I am far from that knowledge. Lol

Weird. Where did you find the gapps package that was giving that error? Are you sure it was status 6?

This one is too big for your system partition. That would explain why only the Banks minimal gapps worked.
Well, duh, that explains it. (Directed at me).How did I not see that. I could smack myself. Thank you very much. The minimal works fine, so I guess there was never a need for the bigger package.
