Now that there are many roms available for our awesome Galaxy 3 i decided to get them together in one place..

doesnt this make it really convenient... dont wanna fight but "this" does not have any links for custom roms..

Not fighting..just that the dev section has some.....

hi
pls dont put the tweaks tutorials and all as i have already given the same in the roll up thread(all on ur 2nd page is their in the roll up thread) give only the roms here may be also even the official updates if possible
that way this thread remains only for roms and all other things go to the roll up thread including this one
ie if i update and u update the same here then their will be a duplication which we dont need as it will also confuse the members
i hope u got what i mean this is just my suggestion

Has any dev started work on cm9. Devs of galaxy mini;ace;3 are already at work.
I think our dev can use their alpha version to create cm9 for fit.

The only ROM I know of for the fit is Creed's.
Have you searched this forum to see if anyone tried porting CM?

I am sorry but no one has started porting CM 9 for this device yet....

Yea guess so but it doesn't matter Coz once squadzone has finished it for mini asad007 would probably port it

i dont see anyone is interested in fit's ROM development except pratyush.creed and asad007,
sqadzone provided overclocking but only for cm7
after dat no devlopment in kernel
tj_style was involving in the development for a time but he was pissed off by some members regarding donation matter
i personally think that we should contact more devlopers and tell dem dat fit users will donate
donation of even 2$ per member can make a huge difference
sometimes i feel bad for buying fit instead of mini

result : donating can make fit glow

I think u r right. I agree with your donation idea but I think no one is interested in fit.
I pm many devs of other phones but got no response.
My exams r going on right now. But I will start learning developing after exams atleast.

The device is a gt540, which lags behind our device in the hardware area...so maybe there is hope!!!!

im not agree with this, tj_style is busy cuz he was develop other device, not just fit only

Yes +1 for donating to Contributing DEVS is a good idea I think the fit community needs to think about that..
Moreover I think ROMS from galaxy Mini can ported without much hassel
It would be great if someone either Ports them or Post a detailed newbie friendly tutorial regarding how to do so...

I had a word with squadcone about making a tutorial but he said he is busy. So I would suggest asking some developer to make a tutorial

That would be great news
there're so many ROMs we can Port from the Equivalent LDPI devices,,, options will galore we will have more ROMS for our device

As stated it includes some tranfer of files and stuff If people come up with this I guess we can have whole team for porting Roms for our device

I learned from that frreyourandroid site and have ported cm7.2 rc4. It was really easy just replace files from here and there and its done..

Can you provide some screenshots! ..
And is the market working after overclocking?...I mean are u able to install apps from the market after overclocking to 801Mhz or 763Mhz!!
....Hmm...1 more thing...did u edit the build.prop...provide with the screenshot of Settings->About Phone..

As I said , once we have CM7 working nicely , it should have the screen rotation , then we can port it stock firmware

Respect the Devs, otherwise they will leave this device and you guys will be stuck with partially fixed builds of ICS and CM 7....

He is working on Beta 6 for all 5 Devices (Galaxy Spicia, Fit, Ace, Gio, Mini)
and he release all at the same time ;-)

maclaw is out of XDA ( he had big fight with TheWhisp ) and he doesnt help other dev so i dont think he will reply to you. There is no point to ICS for fit no camera ( No one could make it work )
