Apps not downloading issue

Anyone else experiencing issues when downloading apps? I sometimes get network issues and other times I can't download marketplace apps. It says downloading, downloading... But doesn't download until I cancel it or restart the phone.

I had the same problem but now sorted. Type in google the problem and you will get an answer. I think you have to clear google talk or google mail storage in applications, then manage applications all in settings. Hope this helps.

It's rooted with 023, using instructing from this site.

You have to reinstall gtalkservice.apk and Talk.apk. Follow this thread for instruction

Really, but how does gtalk & talk relate to marketplace downloading/networking issues? Just wondering.

All of the Google related software is integrated into your account which in turn is how you purchase/use the market.
As for your issue, have you made sure your APN settings are correct since rooting your device? Make sure you've done that. As well, check the original root thread for a market fix in case that's your issue as well.
Edit: I just saw you're using Rogers. Make sure you use the x10a fix for the market. Also note that when I applied the fix, it took over 24 hours and clearing the cache several times before it started working properly. I really strongly recommend you check your APN as well though. Rooting/debranding the x10a from the Rogers network clears out the APN settings and most have had to put them in manually.

I don't know....I just know that I couldn't download anymore from the market and the reinstall of those 2 .apk fixed the issue.

I faced it once long back .. but after that I rooted my phone for almost 3 or 4 times changing the firmwares and then the problem just disappeared.
Yea, APN setting entered correctly. I might just remove them and enter them again through. Thx for all the suggestions folks.

I since narrowed it down to my wifi connection, because it never seems to happen while on 3G. Could be something to do with my router settings. I'll try a static IP again, but I don't think that will help much.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Might not be supported yet is my guess...
Nope not working here either. Shouldn't be too much longer before they fix it.
a lot of these apps don't work properly on 2.3
It does work, what doesnt work is the Gba emulator
Contacted the developer and he said he should be able to fix when he gets his nexus s.

Any update on that? Does it now work for the Nexus S?
Snesoid has worked on mine since I bought it in January. I did pay for the app if it matters. I'm running on stock unrooted 2.3.3.
I played Super Mario RPG start to finish with no issues or lag at all. I can confirm gensoid works also.
Xda app won't let me upload a screenshot. Wrong format.

I have it and play everyday no problem. never crashed on me.
stock unrooted
Hi,
new to android world. I've bought a nexus s yesterday and downloaded snesoid from market.
Dumb question: where do you put the roms? as nexus s doesn't have sd card is not clear to me how i should setup application to work properly.
It is unrooted and i want to keep it as it is for the moment (want to learn more before to do it).
Any help?
thanks in advance.
I think i figure out ... it has a mnt point within sdcard as there is one...

[Q] Bought XDA premium app, but crashing

I am running modded vegan 5.1+5.1.1+kernel replacement. I bought xda premium app, but unfortunately whenever I try to view a thread or search, it errors and force closes.
Any hell would be great. This must be an issue with specific version / combination of ROM I am using ?
Thanks!
I've tried the free XDA app, several times the last couple of months and it always FCed. I'm assuming that the paid one us based in the same code. If you search Xda, there are a number of threads, but no fixes.
It always seemed ironic to me ...
Jim
P.s. I think some people use Tapatalk, but that's also a paid app.
I was googling, and found an older version (0.9?) that doesn't blow up, but it doesn't seem to have a way to set favorite forums:

Both the free and the premium versions fc for me, but I don't have any problems with tapatalk.
Swyped from my St0n3d VEGAn 1.0 Beta 5.1.1 G-Tab
the xda app has always been a pos with the gtab
Sad but true. I knew it fc'd but I bought it to support xda. Bonus is that it works on my phone
Plus we have a 10 in screen and the app doest come close to full net view

I do not know if there was a recent update or not but I looked in the market and tried to install the recently unsucessful XDA premium and it installed and is working great!
I found if I don't sign in, it doesn't crash.

Flash?

I just got a tf and it is awsome!
I'm really impressed by the weight and hc.
the only problem that I currently have is that I can't install flash!
every time I try, theres a download error.
Help
Have you tried the direct link in the android market?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.adobe.flashplayer&feature=search_result
I tried the adroid market link but that also didn't work
The only thing that i haven't tried(at least what i think) is finding an apk file, but wouldn't that be illegal?
No that is not. It would be illegal if its a paid app and you get it from a wares site.
Install the apk and see of it links to the market (shows under my apps in market) so you can get updates.

Kuobob, I'm not sure if this is helpful, but a over a week ago I thought I had the same problem...got constant errors, installed over and over for over a day.
What I found when I went into settings/applications/manage applications the dang thing had been sitting there all along(s).
Or I started a thread called "Flash Player 10.3 won't install on new TF" where a few more people had some helpful suggestions, also, like in this thread...if you need to check it out.
Good luck...that was pretty time wasting to never get a notification that it was already installed(just errors that it wouldn't install) and the only place it showed up was through looking at my settings to find it.

Do anyone have problem with XDA Premium on stock ICS 4.0.3?

This XDA Premium apps is getting into my nerve. It keeps on quiting the apps every time i press BACK soft-button while inside thread. I email the dev team twice n no response at all. Feels like donate rather than bought premium apps. I understand that ICS may cause apps incompatibility but this whole poor support is beyond my limit. Is it only me that facing this problem?
Note: i try to install the free version and getting the same behaviour.

They released yesterday a compatible version.
May i know what is the latest version? I didn't get any apps update.
