In the mean time, you may use a Torch app and make a shortcut on quickbar that you can quickly toggle it.
great app, thank you!
some observations:
- when searching through the contacts, it's not listed in alphabetical order
- if device is locked, when using create new sms, the device does not unlock, it just launches the messaging app behind the lock screen, would be great if it unlocks the device

Reboot
Could you add a confirmation dialog to the reboot feature and a check box in settings for those of us that want the dialog box?
Also, could you add an option to merge multiple notification bars into one and put an arrow at the end(s) to switch between the bars?
why don't you take one picture up here?
Picture 1 shows how the notification bar would look before clicking the arrow on the right and picture 2 shows both notification bars and the arrows on the end of each shows that they are linked.
Two ways that this could be implemented are:
All bars are automatically linked and you could only have 1 bar showing at a time
Long press on one of the bars and click a link icon and then click another bar, with this you might want to put a box around the linked bars and automatically move them next to each other
I hope this makes it clearer.
thanks
I also thought that if you are able to make linked bars, that there could be an option to automatically create the linked bars after a limit has been met. Like a check box to enable a limit and another option to set a limit, list or text box. This would make this app that much more user friendly.
Great program
This program works great for me, unlike another similar notification bar program I tried that caused unexpected/unwanted changes to my phone's behavior.
Keep up the good work.

How to edit?
leducbao - this is a wonderful app, I use it all the time. A couple of things that I have not worked out, however, are:
1 How to edit an existing bar e.g. remove/replace shortcuts?
2 How to re-order icons in a "new" or "existing" bar (linked to question 1)?
I cannot find that these two issues are clarified in your FAQ and feel it would be really cool if they were explained (then again, I might have missed something, sorry if that's the case!).
Congratulations on a really, really good app.

MIUI is not like other Android ROMs. It has a full UI overhaul and adds a bunch of extra customization. A lot of the really nice features that made Gingerbread MIUI nice have been incorporated into ICS, and even more incorporated into CM9/AOKP... but not all of them. This guide is going to gloss over the features that are now standard in ICS and focus mainly on MIUI specific features.
*These features are as of the most recent MIUI version, some may work in older versions, some may not*
Some things to start with, just some quick things that I do every first boot:
Enable root: Find the Permissions app, turn root switch to ON.
Turn off 3G download limit: Downloads app, menu > settings > turn off Data download prompt
Change battery display: Settings > Battery > Battery indicator style. My personal favorite is top-bar
Set long-press back button to kill app: Settings > Button > Long-press Back to kill app, and delay time underneath
Customize toggles: Settings > Status Bar: Choose full page/compact toggles, Customize position underneath.
There's some more cool features in those menus, I implore everyone to explore the settings app thoroughly.
MIUI Home
Where's the app drawer? Well, there isn't one. Installed applications are placed on your homescreen. There are some ways around this. One way is to put your apps in a folder and place that folder in your dock. Another way is to simply use another launcher such as Apex or Nova. Yet another way would be to use an app drawer app, such as AppDrawer.
Enough about what MIUI doesn't have, lets get into the cool aspects of the launcher:
The dock: You can have up to 6 icons in your dock, and as little as none, including folders. It auto-rearranges to fit your icons centered.
Two & Three finger pinch: Pinch the home screen with two fingers and you enter widget edit mode. Easily rearrange widgets and icons from page to page and customize MIUI widgets (more on that later). Pinch with three fingers and you enter the home page edit mode. Here you can add more screens, remove screens and rearrange them. One nice thing you can do when creating a new screen is to grab directly from the + logo to where you want that screen.
Multi-touch icon placement: Pick up an icon or widget with one finger, and you can slide pages with your other finger for easy page movement.
Widgets: MIUI has some really amazing looking widgets including 3 clocks, 3 picture frames, and a full size music widget. These widgets are made even more amazing by their ability to be themed. There's a bunch of widgets available for them through the theme manager. One really nice thing about these widgets is that they don't update when you're not on that homescreen. This saves battery life and RAM consumption.
Lockscreen
Custom MIUI lock screens can do almost anything. The stock lock screen can unlock normally, unlock to messaging, phone, or camera. You can double tap the lock icon to bring up music controls and a visualization, though this will be shown automatically if you have music playing. You can preview unread text messages and missed call callers by holding the lock icon.
Then there's two features that work regardless of what lockscreen you're using. You can hold the home button to turn on the flashlight if your phone has a flash, and you can hold the back button to unlock directly to camera (in recent builds this needs to be enabled in Settings > Button)
Theme Manager
Probably the best feature of MIUI is the Theme Manager.
You can apply themes like normal, or mix and match pieces of your themes together in the "Mix" section.
You can pick pieces of full themes to not apply picking the theme, then choosing the icon in the bottom left. Really like your icon pack? Uncheck "Icons" and hit apply, you get the rest of the theme, but keep whatever icons you had before.
You can save your mix & matched themes. From the Mix section, hit menu > Backup Theme
Themes go in /sdcard/MIUI/theme or you can select them from the File Explorer, or open Theme Manager and menu > Import from SD Card
Besides themes, the Theme Manager is also used to manage ringtones, notifications, and wallpapers.
Place ringtones and notification tones in /sdcard/MIUI/ringtone
Place wallpapers in /sdcard/MIUI/wallpaper
Permissions Manager
The Permissions Manager is split into three sections, root permissions, permissions, and auto-start
Upon installation of an apk off your sdcard, you get asked to grant individual permissions, set "I trust this app," or the default setting will ask you as the app asks for each permission.
The Autostart manager will stop apps from running when your phone boots.
Network Assistant
In the Network Assistant, you can set a maximum amount of traffic to be sent over 3G if you have a limited data plan. It will also tell you which apps are using the most data, and by pressing the button at the bottom of the Traffic Ranking screen, you can limit apps' internet usage. From there, you can also set the default settings of newly installed apps, useful if you want to set apps to only use data off wifi.
Visitor Mode & Access Control
These settings are hidden a little bit. To access them, go into Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy protection
Guarded mode is also known as visitor or guest mode. When visitor mode is on, call logs, notes, gallery data, and text messages are hidden and the launcher cannot enter edit mode. You can also set a password for leaving visitor mode.
Access control gives you the ability to password protect applications. The ability to hide the apps is currently missing but should show up in a later build.
Firewall (formerly Do Not Disturb)
Using the Firewall app, you can send unwanted callers directly to voicemail and reject text messages as well. It has a lot of customization including a whitelist or blacklist and keywords for blocking text messages.
App Killer
MIUI has a built in app killer. You can access it by holding the home icon. It looks similar to the stock ICS task switcher, but looks a little nicer. It functions the same way, you can slide apps away to remove them from memory. There's also a little brush icon in the bottom left for clearing all apps from memory. The little icon in the bottom right takes you to the Running Services settings menu for further control over your running apps.
Miscellaneous Features
A few scattered features between apps.
T9 Dialing: Using the keys on the dialer, you can spell out your contacts' name to find them. For instance, to find "John" you would dial 5646
Long press editing: In almost any MIUI app with a list, (dialer, messaging) you can long press an item to enter editing mode. Select as many items as you want and select one of the options that appears. These options vary from app to app, but all include a "delete" option.
Long press toggles: You can long-press any of the toggles to enter the settings menu for that toggle. For instance, if you long-press the wifi toggle, you go to wifi settings.
To be continued
I'll keep updating this as MIUI gets updated. Feel free to post some suggestions and features you think are cool.

looks very great. :good:
Very nice app first of all I will give you my personal input from a consumers view. Overall it's a really nice app with a few features the other sidebars lack as in custom icon packs ability along with the ability to rearrange, those are awesome abilities! Where it's lacking is the ability to see running apps indicater and the ability to close them by swiping them away as the others offer, once this feature is added I believe this puts this sidebar in the front runners position. A main feature they all lack because of 4.3 I might add is the ability to hide the app notification from the notification panel. I understand that it needs to be there so the launcher doesn't close the app but there has to be a way to hide that without closing the app. I remove it in settings/app by unchecking the box but eventually the launcher will close the app by default. Once that's accomplished by whichever sidebar that does it will lead the pack hands down! I have purchased two already and I'm going to go purchase yours now, I tried the free version but goodluck to you and this great app!

Hello, thank you for your support!
The paid version has an "action" called "Running apps". You can add it by: (+) button -> Actions -> Running Apps
It lists all currently running apps and lets you kill unwanted ones by swiping them away.
I decided to implement it this way, because in my opinion it's less cluttered and it's usually faster to kill an app. If for example you put the "Running apps" on top of the sidebar, you can reach all running apps with a single tap. Otherwise, if you have added a lot of apps, you would have to scroll down and look for the active ones.
About the notification icon - unfortunately it is a matter of how Android is designed.
As you probably know already, prior to Android 4.3 apps were allowed to show fake (invisible) notification to prevent being killed, but Google changed that in 4.3, because they believe it's best for the user to be notified when something is running continuously in the background...
It's not possible to guarantee that Android will not kill the app when there is no notification and the app is currently not shown on the screen, because in that situation the app is considered to be running in background mode and Android decides that it is not critical if the app is killed.
After killing it Android (may) eventually automatically start the app again when there is more RAM available, but from my experience it takes more than 10 minutes for Android to restart the app, which is unacceptable for the user.
The developer can request from the operating system to try to (re-)launch the app let's say once every 60 seconds or even less, but this can significantly increase battery usage :/
In Ray I used the least intrusive approach that is currently possible - using low priority notification that does not show up in the statusbar. I may also add an option to completely disable the notification for Android 4.3+ devices, but of course if disabled, Android can decide to kill the app at any time.
I have added a direct download link in the first post for those of you who don't have the Gogle Play Store on their devices.
For those who tried the app - please share your thoughts on ways of improvement and possible problems
Thank you!
That´s my old friend ra3al... absolutely wonderful!!!! :good:
Best Xda developer for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi ra3al,
First thanks for this wonderfull sidebar launcher!
I am testing it and found very usefull, but I think that you should add also the possibility to have a dock bar (by default available) and this will be the future laucher: most used apps on dock like phone, sms and app drawer, and favourite apps and shorcuts in sidebar.
Without that option everyone will keep his launcher...
What do you think?
Some Requests....
I just purchased the Pro version of your sidebar launcher to test it out, because I love the quick access launchers of this type. Just a couple of things that I would like to see added...... First is the "Width" of the Sidebar feature only lets me reduce it to a certain width and stops, but when you open the sidebar the icons are almost half that width in size. I would like to shrink/reduce the sidebar width down very thin, to just about the width of the smallest icons that show. If you put the width slider all the way down to the smallest point, it should then go just a little bit further.
Also, I mainly decided to try your sidebar because of the "Folder" option. Most sidebars don't allow the setup of folders, I really like this option, but I was disappointed when I found that I could NOT set a Custom Icon for the Folder itself. The sidebar allows using Icon Sets, but I can't select a custom icon for the Folder. Please add this Feature to allow us to choose our Folder icons. it would really complete this app.
The last thing I noticed was a problem....the instructions mentioned something about long pressing an icon then swiping out of the sidebar to Delete the icon. This does NOT work for me at all. I have not found any way whatsoever, to Delete an app icon that I already placed in the bar.
or am I missing something.........
I'll post again after using this for a little while.
Great Work Awesome
Thanks to dev for amazing app - that's what I miss on my device!
But I have a prob when type somewhere with software keyboard (I've just decide that must re-calibrate screen but suddenly realize what's happens).
Far left side of keyboard like letters A, Q and number 1 are NOT USABLE because they are under the sidebar ?
It's checked and approved if I close Sidebar keyboard works as expected.
Please @ra3al solve this little but frustrating bug.

Thank you for support! and I'm glad you like the app
Yes, this is a known problem and there is a (partial) solution. I guess I should mentioned it in the initial tutorial.
OK, you need to go to the settings of the app (either by long-pressing the (+) button in the sidebar, or tapping the Ray / Ray Pro icon in your normal launcher.
Then go to: Swipe area settings -> Width and height and reduce the height, so that the swipe area does not overlap your soft keyboard. (Or you can also reduce the width - make the swipe area still full height, but thinner, so that it does not cover the leftmost buttons in the keyboard, but keep in mind that if you make it too thin, it may stop recognizing your swipes).
If you are using both Ray and Ray Pro - you have to do these changes for both apps :/
While you are in the Swipe area settings the swipe area will be painted in magenta color, in order to let the user visualize where on the screen it actually is and how big it is, in all other situations the swipe area is completely transparent.
The swipe area is always positioned on top of all other programs (besides the lock screen app). Unfortunately it's not possible to position it below the soft keyboard, and that is the reason, you need to resize the swipe area.
The swipe area is necessary for detecting your swipes from the edge of the screen, and as you already realized, the app that is bellow it cannot receive touch events in that specific region.
BTW in Ray Pro, if you set Swipe area settings -> Horizontal alignment to Right the sidebar will be positioned on the right edge of the screen and is activated by swiping from the right edge. And if you want, you can have Ray on the left side and Ray Pro on the right side running simultaneously.
Sorry for the long post

Thanks for your support and feedback!
About the option to use custom folder icons - I am almost done with implementing this feature - it will be available in the next version together with a couple of bug fixes - I will release it today or tomorrow.
For sidebar width - I am also going to improve it in the next version - please let me know if it's OK, after the you try the updated version.
For deleting items - when trying to swipe away the item you want to delete, are you putting your finger on the grabber handle button? If so, that's the reason it does not work for you (the grabber handle can only be used for moving an item up or down in the list). You have to put your finger on the app/shortcut/etc. icon.
Maybe I should make a short video that shows how to delete items and somehow improve the tutorial.

I mean have the possibility to have a bottombar that could:
- by default: be visible (fixed on bottom like other launchers) without the needs of swiping from the bottom
- have the possibility to not be visible and needs swiping from the bottom to appears
- have the possibility to not be available
If you implement the bottombar, you should also add an option to slidbar not be available also!
Thanks

More User Input...
It is very much appreciated that you made some of the updates & changes that myself & others have requested. That's a very good way to get & keep loyal users & have them spread good news about your app. I really like the new features & options in this last update. After using it a little while with the updates I only saw 2 more little things that I feel need to be added/changed..... Now that the sidebar width is modified & we can reduce it pretty small, we really need the ability to change/customize the Icon size. Every person has a different view of how big/small their own icons should be and how big/small the sidebar should be. Since the sidebar width is now easily customized, please give us the ability to customize our Icon Sizes also. I personally want a small sidebar width but enlarge the icons enough to where they aren't "tiny", as I don't use icon labels either.
The 2nd thing is Custom Icons for all shortcuts/apps, since we can choose a custom Icon Pack for the entire sidebar, a lot of apps aren't included in the Icon Packs. So we end up with half custom icons and half regular app icons. But if it was like our Launchers where we can choose an icon pack but then select individual apps & choose Custom icons, we can make our entire sidebar match.
Please consider these 2 features also in an upcoming update.
Thanx again for the great app!

I already have plans about adding both of these features, but I am not completely sure about the first one, but I will probably add it. thanks
I appreciate a dev paying attention to the users requests & suggestions, a lot of the time its the people actually using the app that have the best suggestions for improving an app. But a lot of devs seem to ignore them...thanx for actually paying attention to your users & very much appreciate any of the suggested options that you can make.

Wow, new app from ra3al, nice work. One request in action button. Can you add switch screen off button? I'd love to turn my screen off from the side drawer.

Awesome App!!!
Just one touch to turn off and lock screen.
"Screen Lock" provides different kinds of shortcuts (buttons):
- The shortcut on home screen
- The shortcut in the notification
- The shortcut floating on the screen (The button floating on any application)
We provide many icons to apply to each kind of shortcut.
Floating shortcut supports more customization features:
- Modify the size of icon
- Modify the alpha of icon
- Automatically hide the floating shortcut in fullscreen mode
- Support to select icon from gallery
- Vibrate when screen is locked
- Support to play sounds when locking screen
- Support to display Weather information (New!)
The hardware power button of some devices is not well designed. The frequent use to power on/off may damage it. The different kinds of shortcuts provide by our app can replace it and extend it’s life time. They can lock and turn off screen without pressing hardware power button immediately.
You can install the attached APK or download the latest version (Free) from the Google Play at
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simi.screenlock
If you have any suggestion or new features you would like, please feel free to reply this post or send email to us. Thanks!

nice with floating shrotcut
Nice App
Very impressed. Really cute application.
cool app dude.
How often weather updates, or how to update manually?
Thanks [emoji106]
Weather info will automatically update every an hour by service provider’s suggestion since their weather data is updated every three-four hours.
In current design, you need to disable and enable floating shortcut again to trigger weather update.
If you have any suggestion, please feel free to let us know. Thanks!

This app allows you to have as many touchable areas (triggers) on the screen as you want and each trigger allows you to open different sidebars depending on the touch gesture on it. Everything in this app is persobalisable.
Special features:
arbitrary number of apps, shortcuts, widgets or folders to a sidebar
arbitrary number of handles
many triggers to open a sidebar (slide up/down/left/right, click, double click, long press)
personalize colors, sizes, transparency, use icon packs and much more
Action Folder - clicking it directly opens the first app in the folder, swiping on it opens the folder
Action Sidebar - the trigger does not open a sidebar but directly start an app or a shortcut
Sidepages - page that shows your apps and allow you to fastly search them with the T9 predictive keyboard
Material Palette Colors - fastly select material colors
Quick Colors - fastly select colors that match your current wallpaper (material palette method to extract the main colors of your current wallpaper)
Supports resent apps and blacklists on all android versions
Planned features that are currently developed:
sidepage with direct widgets on it just like a real drawer and freely positionable apps, shortcuts, widgets and folders
integrate contacts and allow them to be search like apps on the all apps sidepages
...
Any feedback is appreciated and feature requests are welcome.

Tried the app - good
I tried the app; very good. I am on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S, 10.5", running on a SlimLP Android 5.1.1. The store would not let me download the app, stating it was not "compatible" with my device. I downloaded the file to my phone, backed it up, and installed it unto my tablet. I seems to be working fine.
Nice app, great bunch features and configuration. Endless possibilities. This app deserves more attention.

Excellent tool. Still thinking to get the pro but I suggest the following:
- Selection by sliding, without lifting the finger (Glovebox´s app style)
- Improve the floating widget because widget is not responding smoothly
Thanks.
I am really liking this so far and I plan on buying. Everyone should install this app and play with it for a few days, don't dismiss it too quickly it is very nice. Good job dev. Thanks
I installed the app yesterday and it is really great, congratulations on your app @prom85 :good:
I have some ideas to further improve the app, maybe you like the ideas, too:
1. Possibility to open sidebar/sidepage with a shortcut without having to use handle. A fast workaround would be allowing to set the width of a handle to 0dp.
2. Possibility to adjust the size of a sidebar/sidepage. I would like to have a sidepage with minimum size to see all my favorite apps on it. Therefore it would be great, if the sidepage would decrease its size if I decrease the number of rows/columns. A fast workaround would be increasing the maximum dp of possible padding in all directions to 1000(?).
3. I think I found a little bug: I use custom rom with navigation bar and I open sidebar/sidepage with a button on the navigation bar (via shortcut) and most of the time it works well. But sometimes not only the sidebar/sidepage opens but also your app opens in background of the sidebar/sidepage. The problem is, that I don't know why or when the functionality switches to "open both: app and sidebar/sidepage". Maybe you can have a look at it.
Last but not least I have a question: Is it right that I can use with the pro version icon packs AND change in addition the icons manually that don't look nice with the icon pack?
With kind regards
paludi06
This is a useful app with many options. It is progressively getting better.
Hello
I try to enable the dynamic permissions (read contacts and call phone) but I don't know how
Is it possible to inform me anyone how to do that?
Being a fan of Chromium OS and a passion for developing new and interesting things, I decided to build a launcher inspired by chromium os, based on Material Components.
GCA or GO Custom Android Launcher is a pixel design inspired launcher with core component features from chromium OS desktop. Its designed and built for Android Go but also offers new devices a fresh and new experience for your homescreen.
Supporting Android 5.x+, GCA offers a single screen launcher replacement app for android users who want a pixel lite experience. Alot of the offered features come from my other launcher, Sapphyx Launcher, and rebuilt to be faster, lighter and ultimately offer a better experience in a small package. It runs beautifully on Android Go, smooth on devices with Android 5 (Like the Kindle Fires) and offers a theme engine that's customizeable by the user.
GCA features are dependant on what Google Apps are installed that depend on an action, whether Google services is installed or not and specific apps that are installed (Action Dash for Dash System Shortcut)
Core Features
-A single screen setup (no grid, one widget).
-A customizeable App Drawer with multi-purpose search.
-The App Drawer features apps with system shortcuts and app shortcuts and allows users to blacklist apps.
-App Drawer supports a secondary "Work" tab to help organize apps in a better fassion.
-App Shortcuts generate a list of selectable app shortcuts in a vertical menu of the app popup.
-Recent Apps
-Easy to use launcher customization
-Pixel/Chromium desktop like Cosmetics
-Launcher uses my wallpaper app, Drywall, as default wallpaper provider. If its not installed, fallback on user selected.
-Notification Badges and Underlining. Clicking on the app will dismiss. Is not supported on Android Go unless activated by OEM.
-Adaptive Icons
-Icon Packs
Adaptive Icons
-GCA Launcher uses James Fenn's adaptive icon view library. The code itself was inspired by lawnchair's backport of adaptive icons for pre oreo devices. It pulls v26 icon assets for foregrounds and backgrounds and relayers them as an adaptive icon view which behave similar to pixel launchers adaptive icons. How you choose to use them will affect performance of the launcher and should be chosen dependant of how capable your device is. Users can select which shape of adaptive icon path they want to use. This will also apply itself to app actions, predictions and app drawer button.
There are 3 options of icons you may use for your drawer.
Pixel Adaptive - will try and generate adaptive icons based on the assets gathered by the icon and created by the system, this will slow down your app drawer depending on your hardware. (Not recommended for Android Go, Does not support icon packs)
Palette Adaptive - will disregard any assets available from the icon and simply scale the icon drawable as foreground and apply the dominant color of the icon for the background drawable (Faster than pixel adaptive, supports icon packs)
Normal Icons - normal default icon behavior and style
What's Not Working / WIP
-Icon Packs that generate their own icons like Icon Pack Studio may cause crashes, please don't use them. Icon Packs developed with BluePrint library are recommended.
-If external data usage permission is denied on first start, homescreen scrim will not be available or work correctly. Homescreen scrim will set to default white if using a live wallpaper.
-GCA is setup to change available features based on Android OS, if you notice something that may not be correct or crashes, let me know. This is your only paywall.
-Android 5.X support is limited but work in progress. Cosmetics and style need updated but it is functional. Please report back any inconveniences and crashes.
-Android 10 support has been added but we are monitoring performance and compatibility.
-Adaptive Shape Views and Adaptive Icon performance may vary on devices.
Changelog
-A detailed changelog can be found in the application settings. It is written in html so translation is your responsibility, html can be copied.
Donations
/ Pledges
-Yearly pledges have been implemented in the app. You are not obligated for any reason to purchase these but if you want regular updates, its recommended. Pledges keep the project alive and a few cups of coffee or a beer is sent my way (depending on time of day).

Bug Reports / Request
Please use the telegram channel or xda forums for bug reports and request. Do not use the Google Play ratings as a place for this stuff.
While making request, take into consideration how itl affect performance. We are keeping Android Go as our target OS. If itl consume memory or increase size massively , im not interested. We are aiming to keep customization minimal and the launcher simple but their could be different ways to approach currently implemented features, and id love to hear your ideas.

Hoping to have a new update published tomorrow night. A preview of what's being worked on.
Sent from my HTC U Ultra using XDA Labs
New update today, now available on xda labs!
Changes
-Added experimental support for SDK 21 (Any devices with android 5.x are now able to install Symphlyx. Needs alot of work but its useable)
-Added Dismiss popup action for Android 5.x (Clicking outside of bounds on popup will not dismiss menu)
-Improved general performance and optimization for Android Go
-Added ability to dismiss notification underlining
-Added functional reminder widget
-Added semi function Heads Up widget (Previously known as generic At A Glance. Will behave differently on different OS's. Working on a weather provider atm but clicking on weather will ooen google weather. Heads up strings display differnet things on every quarter of the day.)
-Recent Apps now functional (Uses a position and click count logic. Recent apps hold 5 recent apps. The drawer monitors a click count up to 5. Every count is registered to a position and saves the action and icon on that click for the position in recent apps. If that action is already saved in a position, the click data is ignored but the count is consumed.)
-Added the ability to clear search results. Clicking the back button when the drawer is open will dismiss it but if search results are present, it will clear the search results focus first.
-Improved icon pack support and the chooser settings
-Increased homescreen scrim and All Apps button height position
-Fixed an issue where Sensey listener would be killed if the background process was killed by android os. This would make navigating to your apps or settings impossible.
And a few more chnages, check the changelog for a full list of changes.

It's been kinda quiet around here. I present a preview of the new popup menu we've been working on.
An update is expected to drop in June. Rebuilding alot of everything.
Let's talk about this new screenshot here giving some lite to Symphlyx Launcher's future.
Users will now have a dock. This dock will reflect recent app icons to the desktop from the drawer. These shortcuts have a popup menu similar to the drawer popup menu but limited to launcher actions. These do not have any sort of notification indicator.
Below the apps is a google searchbar. The searchbar also has 3 items. 2 predictive actions and am all apps button. The all apps button can be toggled while the predictive actions are only available to devices that support app shortcuts. Predictive actions behave very similar to Lawnchair 's logic behind predictive actions. When a user launches a shortcut class, its logged and saved to the prediction items. Only 2 at a time are logged.
Update Alpha 0.5 is now available on xda labs and pending on Google play.
Changes since march reveal
-Widget sliders are dead. The homescreen has been rebuilt to be cleaner, faster and better for gestures. Insteaf of Sliders, Symphkyx will rely on its stand alone heads up widget. Later on, users will be granted the ability to use their own widgets.
-Sensey gesture recognition has been removed due to click interferences we had during development. It has been replaced with our own gesture recognition system that will allow more control.
-The homescreen now offers a Shelf (dock) similar to Chromium. This shelf will later have some theme options available. Shelf will mirrow recwntly opened apps from the app drawer and add them in a 5 item dock. These shortcuts offer limited launcher actions and launcher shortcuts. Below these apps is a searchbar for google. It should open Google now depending on your os and firmware. On the end of the searchbar is an all apps button and a holder for recent actions. Recent actions can be enabled in the launcher settings and is only available to android 7.1+. Prediction actions will list 2 recenlty opened app shortcuts. These shortcuts will remain here untill a new app package is detected and/or replaced by the prediction system.
-The app drawer has had a few things done to it to improve performance and reliability. Colors are extracted in the data set instead of the adapter now and used for the popup menu and badge underlining. The drawer toolbar works the same way as before. Clicking on the google icons will open their respective activities but if something is in the searchbar, it will search that string in that environment. (ex: Google search news, Playstore search news)
-The popup menu still needs some tuning but now builds up on app shortcuts. If a shortcut is available, it will add it in a vertical list menu. This replaces the shortcut action we used to have to view shortcuts in a context menu. This menu is cleaner, faster and feels like a pixel popup. Actions are dependant of your os version and shortcuts are dependant on availability. Shortcuts and popups do not appear on recent apps in the app drawer.
-The settings menu has been cleaned up abit. This menu will only contain dynamic settings. (except icon packs) The menu now has an expansion activity. This menu will hold settings that rely on the launcher restarting or some system dependant.
-The about activity has been rebuilt with attribouter.
-The application is now built on AndroidX and Material Components. Very little 3rd party dependency is used now for a cleaner and reliable experience.
Recent Screenshots
Small update today. Tried correcting the positioning of popup menus on app item positions. We've noticed the popup menus would cut off on far right items and arrows not correctly inflating in the right sport or at all. I simply updated the popup library to correct these issues.
I might look into some sort of notification or alert count in the popup menu which would reset to 0 if cleared with the Clear Action.
A light n dark theme mode is being looked. This will be triggered by time or manually.

Interesting, il see what would of caused this to happen.
Well I was searching for a new launcher and xda labs landed me here. Screenshots look dope, but for me launcher has bugs,
1: not able to set homescreen widget even when given all permissions
2: app drawer is cut maybe due to aspect ratio ( mine is 19.5:9)
Well if these screens help, here they are.
