First before guiding you further
Can you post some details
I want details present in hboot/bootloader
To do that.. You need to do the steps as I told you
Power off your phone... Remove battery.. Reinsert it... Then hold volume down + power button.... It will take you to bootloader a white screen
So what ever it shows post it here
Then to get back to normal.. Just select the reboot option there.. Use vol down/up buttons to browse through list... And power button. To select the reboot option
FYI.. Rooting no way causes problems.. As long as you follow the steps.. But rather it gives complete privileges to modify the phone what ever way you want.. To use the phone to its fullest potential

Try this tool: http://revolutionary.io/, I have used it.
no need for s-off
if you just want to gain root access to install superuser.apk or remove files then there is no real need to s-off i think...
just follow this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194488
use the fr3vo method to get an adb as root and install what you want. You don't need the additional step with revolutionary for that!
Sorry wrong post, please delete

No. You will need to flash this zipfile from recovery.

You'll might have the same problem as a friend of mine.
You must use the right drivers for the communication between the phone and your PC (i think you use windows).
You get them from the revolutionary page i guess.
Greetings
Edit:
Ohh?!
You are s-off for now?
Then install ClockworkMod and then your fav customrom .
U dont need the super oneclick tool.

Nope, the fm_root install su, too. So it should normally work.
But mikrokatevas, just try the rooting-method described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253707

Hi,
There are several ways to do this now.
Look HERE
HERE
Or use THIS TOOLKIT
Or THIS ONE
Thank you guy, even if i've already seen these threads.
The fact is my bootloader is locked but i've got the S-OFF.
Unfortunately, i still cannot install a recovery in order to root my Sensation XE.
I should have been more clearly: i just want to root my phone in order to make a backup with titanium backup (i don't want to lose my apps data).
Then, i would install an older RUU to backup my phone and S-OFF with revolutionarry.
So, there is an other way to root my phone (permanent root ain't necessary).
I dont wan't to lose my warrantly with HTC dev unlock either.

Download this: http://tinyurl.com/ICSHboot
Download my tool. It's in my signature. Follow all the instructions from the thread, but don't run any file.
Go to the tools folder inside the main folder of my tool, & paste the jb_hboot.zip file that you downloaded.
From inside the tools folder, run the file boot.bat
Once done, reboot to bootloader.
You should now have *JuopunutBear* instead of *locked*
If you only want root, then just follow all instructions from my tool thread and run the menu.bat as stated in the instructions. Make the appropriate choices & you'll have permanent root.

check my one click ROOTING TOOL present in the guide in my signature ..it just requires SOFF..no recovery needed too..and bootloader status doesn't matter
just connect your phone ..and then double click ..the required file(root.bat)
that's all you are rooted
EDIT:you can even use kgs tool for the same process too
It's getting wierd...
@ganeshp Hi man! I checked your thread yersterday and i didn't see that there was a rooting tool!
Unfortunately, the process worked perfectly ("EVERYTHING DONE..ROOT SUCCESS...ONE FINAL REBOOT NOW") but titanium backup or other apps which required root tell me that I'm not rooted..
I noticed that each time super user refuse root/super user access to these apps, i don't know. And yes i tried to change superuser automatic answer to "allowed" or "ask me".
@kgs1992 Thanks you. I tried it but when i launch boot.bat it tells me "waiting for device" (i tried to plug my phone in HTC sync mode too).
So then i tried to root with your tool and even if it tells me that the process succeed, titanium backup tell me that i'm not rooted.. Same problem as i said to ganeshp.
I'm a little but confuse now

Well if SU installed, then you are rooted.
You need to reboot to bootloader before running boot.bat
Yes, SU is installed but it does'nt grant root access to my applications!
I tried to run boot.bat, the process failed.
I dont know what is the problem now..

Yes, it's ICSboot, not Hboot, sorry.
Anyway, it should have worked. are you sure it didn't?
try opening this zip (attached) & putting this boot.bat in the same folder and running it.
It worked! Thank you so much!
I can see that "Juopunut Bear" above the S-OFF
I'm gonna try to root and install recovery now. If i have an other problem i'll make a double-post in order to up the topic. Otherwise i will just edit this one.

Rooting ICS 4.0.4 and entering recovery

I have installed Wkpark's v1.25a bootloader and installed a cwm version with one that was in the all in one package.
However I can't seem to acces my CWM when booting ( don't know the key combination )
and I can't root my 4.04 version therefore, Since the root I found are .zips that need to get flashed with cwm.
I tried the method with the .bat file to root it stops working after it says waiting.... ( while I did press the button on screen )
So is there a fast method for doing this ?
You guys rock !
Lgp920
ICS 4.0.4
Remove the battery press volume down + 3D + power and put the battery.
You will have to rotate the phone a bit until you find the best way to hold it.

first of all is your chacha rooted?
and for the best rom you should decide because if you want ics or kitkat you are going to lose your selfy cam because of a problem in the kernel but i'm not sure and the best one in the new roms (4.4) in my opinion is cm 11
if you want to keep your cam you should stay on gingerbread aka 2.3.5
I use a rom that i made and will uploade it soon but its 2.3.5 because i don't want to lose my cam
if i helped you hit thanks :victory:

well first thing you need to do is unlock your boot loader
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA_j46UWVl8
by the way that's not me
then you need to install clockworld recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164468
its too easy just put the file (ph06img.zip) on the root of your sd go to settings disable fastboot from the power menu remove your battery and then keep pressing the power and voice down then you should be in the bootloader menu and it will start installing clockworldmod recovery by its own then what you need to do is to remove your battery again and starting the phone (the normal way ) go to your sd delete ph06img.zip and now there is more than 20 ways to root >>> i use a program that is called root genius it is SOOOOOOOO easy to use . just install it on your pc ( it is a windows app so don't search for it on google play:silly: ) connect your phone and press root on your pc and when its done you should be good to go.
AND remember NEVER update your software version from htc if your phone asked you to .
press thanks again because i missed my breakfast writing this :highfive:
now if you have anything to ask please search here first
