I would be interested in this as well, but I don't think a post like this is the right way to go about getting the information you seek - but I could be wrong after all I am just a noob.
Have you searched in the forums here, specifically the developer forums? There are literally thousands/millions of threads and it is almost a certainty that what you're looking for is already out there. Alternatively, have you tried Google? I just typed "create android custom rom" into Google and it returned five XDA threads related to creating custom roms and a google code site regarding a tool for creating custom roms.
Knowledge is power my friend. :good:

There are definitely better ways to go about it than creating this thread. No offense, but lots of people have asked this in a community of 5 million plus enthusiasts.

I Need a WP7 Custom Rom that Does This...

i'm thinking of buying a titan 2.. is there a custom rom that removes the restrictions on wp7 AND allows text wrap of webpages when zooming?
Look at the latest updates at the appropriate section.

I don't believe the Titan 2 has custom ROMs yet anyhow? Last I checked, HSPL was only available up through the original Titan, not the Titan 2.

Best ROM and best kernal voor One x

Hi guys i just bought the onbe x today. going to root vit as soon as possible. I checked the forums and see a few sorts of roms. Wich one is the best? and wich kernal is good? also i would like to know whats better..original development or not?
thanks alot..
There is no best.
Its preference
Android dev is for sense
Original is for aosp
You better not flash an international ROM.
You will also have to flash the boot.IMG before you flash your ROM

There is no "best ROM", and asking a question like that will only get opinions as a response because everyone has different needs and likes different things when it comes to their phones. The best way to find out is look at the features of a few ROMs, download a few, and try them out yourself.
Oh, and a friendly word of advice: search a topic before you post a new thread. That's what the xda rules state, if you read them. This topic has already been covered countless times, and this thread only serves to clog up xda even more.

Best rom is unrooted stock

Where to start?

I used to be a daily xda poster, rom tester, and I helped develope a few roms for the Samsung Infuse. Ive been out of the android smartphone game for a while now so I decided to get the S4, so far im crazily in love with this phone. But theres that little something missing. I kiss testing new roms, and customizing to the fullest. I have the ATT version, and I have it rooted. What im here asking is, where do I go from here? I want to try out some custom roms/themes, maybe some new kernels and such. Let me know, thank you.

Go to the Development section and read all of the threads that have to do with Loki, especially this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292157
Many of the threads have great tools to simplify things and they also list Tricks, tips, and ROMs that have been tried.
Make sure to read the OUDHS Recovery thread (CWM) and the TWRP threads.
When you are comfortable with all of that, here is a thread that was started about different ROMs that have been tried: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295557
Like I said, there is a lot of good information about ROMs and Kernels in all of the before mentioned threads as well.
Good luck.

Port Jedi Mind Trick JB 8

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818305&highlight=skyrocket
Is there an official port of this ROM to the skyrocket? I know about rotation fix, flashing kernels, and recovery but even with all those the ROM lags a bit. Is there an actual port I missed? also how would I go about porting this over?

got it, you get a thanks. You have any experience with creating ROMs? I've seen a lot of guide's, would you say this is a beginner guide? lol
You can try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121128
or this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196491
I've used the second one for another device and got it to work pretty well. There's other porting guides on XDA. They shouldn't be too hard to find with a quick google search.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

You don't just come here and request a ROM, that isn't how it works. That's rude and lazy, this isn't a support forum.
You have to search for it yourself. If none exist for your device then you can wait until when/if someone decides to build one for that model or you can learn to build it yourself.

Lol, nice try. The purpose of this forum is to make information freely available, it's up to the user to find what they need though. We don't spoon-feed and hold people's hands around here.
We generally inform and point you in the right direction, we give specific answers when specific answers can be given. There are no specific answers or specific 100% guaranteed to work guides out there for building ROMs so a specific answer can't be given.
If you want to learn how to build a ROM then start researching, there is plenty of information available about it.
The purpose of this forum/website in not to be a support forum, it's a forum to discuss custom development. It has just evolved into a bunch of everyday users coming here wanting to update or fix their phones.
