A little something for Emulator enthusiasts - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I previously put this on the Xperia Play forum but I think this should be here since this can apply for every android user.
Okay, I know there aren't too many people from the Wii community here, but there's something of interest to maybe introduce you to, especially if you're interested in emulation on the Android platform.
I don't know if GBA emulators for Android support JoyBus connectivity via TCP/IP such as VBA-M for Windows, but this is something that the Wii and Gamecube community have been pondering about for a while.
Well, there's a developer that goes by the name tueidj on GBATemp, a Nintendo console homebrew forum and database, who coded a backup loader for playing Gamecube games on the Wii called Devolution. The name was because of the Gamecube's Prototype name, Dolphin, and the Wii's PT name being Revolution. Combining those names into Devolution, also because the loader will eventually be able to use Wii peripherals on the Gamecube titles such as the Classic Controller.
On the main forum topic for the project, there is a feature that is in active development that is VERY close to being released within the next few updates.
- GBA connectivity to a GBA emulator via TCP/IP
Long story short, this is what this means.

That can already be done using the GBA emulator for PC called VBA-M alongside with the Gamecube/Wii emulator for PC called Dolphin, running on the same PC of course.
Now, if joybus connectivity via TCP/IP becomes or is already possible on GBA Emulators for Android, you could use your android phone as a "GBA" connected to the "Gamecube" (Wii), so your phone could be your controller on Zelda Four Swords Adventures, your Sonic Adventure Chao Garden, or even your Tingle Tuner on Wind Waker.
What I dream of seeing is having the possibility to use our beloved Android devices as GBA's as a controller for Four Swords, a Tingle Tuner for Wind Waker, etc.
If this feature isn't on GBA Emulators for Android, I think this is something to give a quick word to developers about. VBA-M is infact open source so I'm sure that can help.

I hope a developer is willing to give this a shot! If I could, I would!
This is the future you guys!
Welcome Aboard!!
If interested, check out the Discussion page for Devolution, a GBA Link tutorial may even be posted when the developer makes that feature available.

Sony Playstation Emulator with VGA & Hardware 3D acceleration (2700G!) Support Out!!!
Ever wanted to play Sony Playstation games on your Pocket PC? Ever heard of FPSEce, the only, high-quality and last but not least, FREE PlayStation emulator for the Pocket PC? I have some great news for you: after a LONG waiting, the new version is out - now, with (in Portrait mode only) VGA & some 2700G (Linear Frame Buffering to decrease the CPU load) support! It’s just wonderful!!

The God of all Pocket PC Emulators, author of the PocketGamer.org / PocketGaming.de Emulator Page, Michu, has promised some days ago he would come up with a present for the Pocket PC community. The present turned out to be a MAJOR one: a brand new, heavily updated FPSEce version!
The first screenshots of the new versions were published back in October. These screenshots are REALLY worth checking out: they demonstrate very well how the previous, QVGA-only and current, VGA & 2700G-enabled versions compare. The difference is outstanding!
Note that the official download page of the FPSEce folks still doesn’t contain information on the new release, it’s so new. Therefore, you’ll want to download the new emulator from either the related English language thread on pdai.org of the official forum or from great German all-in-one handheld gaming site PocketGaming.de (direct link to download).
Also see this article for more information and a LOT of brand new screenshots (I've linked one of them above). The article is in German; the English Babelfish “translation” is here. A shorter, English article of the new version can be found, as has already been pointed out, here. I also recommend this AximSite thread.

See http://pdai.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9010 - it has a lot of downloadable freeware demos and stuff
It is nice to have emulator for the pocketpc. BUT, I tried a few other emulators, eg SNES emulator on my Wizard and most of the games are too slow to be 'fun'. I doubt this PS emu will be anywhere faster than the SNES. Proof me wrong
anyone got it up and running yet on an exec/jasjar?

SmartCell will release the first Shadow of Legend MMORPG demos in 10 days!

I’ve elaborated a lot on Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) games in my Multiplayer Bible and Pocket PC 3D Acceleration Bible. Up to now, unfortunately, there only have been two clients available for the Pocket PC; namely,
the Java-based Wyvern, which did have some Java incompatibility and / or speed problems
the Russian-language, non-free Sphere by Nikita.
Fortunately, this seems to change in the future. SmartCell, of which I’ve reviewed several products of (see for example this AquaForce 1.1 and this TextPlus review / tutorial) is working on a really promising, Pocket PC-compliant (!) MMORPG called Shadow of Legend, which even has its own top-level homepage here, which may be worth checking out. There still isn’t much tangible stuff in there (unfortunately, the first demo game clients will only be released in early January as can also be read in here); however, at least there are three MP3 files and two trailers to download.

This is indeed a very promising project. I’ll report as soon as a playable demo is released.
By the way, in addition to the above links, I also recommend this PPCT thread on similar subjects.
(By the way, still speaking of SmartCell’s product line, they still (?) haven’t ported RemotePlus to the Pocket PC. Hope they change their minds soon – as will also be explained in my forthcoming, biiiiiiiiig roundup of all Pocket PC -> PC remote controller solutions, Pocket PC-based Terminal Server / Services clients are all pretty bad and a decent alternative would be more than welcome.)
Some weeks ago, I’ve elaborated on the forthcoming, highly anticipated Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) called Shadow of Legend.
Now, there are some news on the title; most importantly, some screenshots and two CES videos (without really showing in-game videos). Unfortunately, nothing tangible – that is, no downloadable client is available as yet.
However, the two new videos (directly accessible on the video download page) may be worth checking out.

Playing old Mattel LED games under Windows Mobile

Back in the late seventies or early eighties, you may have had a Light-emitting diode (LED)-based handheld game console. They were manufactured by Mattel and a complete list of them is available HERE. They were pretty simplistic but still great fun and are, today, very hard to find (they’re typically a collector’s item offered accordingly at high prices).
Should you want to play some of these games under Windows Mobile (or, for that matter, Palm OS or the desktop Windows (even Vista)), you will want to turn to Peter Hirschberg’s LEDhead, the faithful reimplementation of some of these games. While only part of the original LED games have been re-implemented (compare the list of the originally available games HERE and the implemented games HERE), you may still find the currently available games fun or, at least, nice to bring up memories of those ages.
Fortunately, the games run flawlessly on all Windows Mobile devices – even WM5 / WM6 ones. Some example screenshots of them running on VGA devices:

(Auto Race)
(Space Alert)
As in the desktop version, the main menu allows for selecting the game you’d like to play. You can also redefine the hardware buttons (unfortunately, the app doesn’t read all the buttons dynamically – that is, if your handheld has more than 4 buttons, it’ll still list only four)
Getting, using
Get the emulator HERE (alternate download HERE) . Unzip the file and transfer LEDhead.exe and LEDhead.dll to your handheld. Start the former; select the game to run in the left list and click Start Game in the upper right corner. You can also disable sounds (using the Mute checkbox) and assign controls to hardware buttons.
Note that it also has an SH3 and a MIPS version, should you have an old PPC2k handheld.

it seems to be portet to (or developed first with ??)Android to show the power of the new "adreno-GPU" at the MWC.
its already available for Xbox360 (XBLA) and Windows7Phones and hope it will be released for android soon.
Does anyone own the Demo of this game?
here additional some info from the QualcommDevNet where its listed as an adreno project for Android and WP7 Devices/CPU's
SouthEnd: ilomilo
(Qualcomm's developer site)
maybe its time to start a petition if nothing happens?
dbaf14
Not sure it will ever come out ...That's how microsoft works ... Looking for what game looks great than pay a lot so that it only comes out on their devices. (Remember halo)
I would love to see such a game on my DesireHD (after all the adreno gpu used in the DesireHD was the one they used for the demo)
That looks pretty impressive, may set the bar pretty high for android game devs!
still no info about this ?
to bad the developer could earn alot of money with this
and we would have another great game in the market
Has anyone tried to contact the developer?
it's never gonna come out on android. plain and simple
Sent via the power of a unicorn's horn.
goood game thanks
Well, wait and see...
Q: Are you making ilomilo for android? I have seen it run on MWC videos.
A: The version of ilomilo shown at MWC was a tech demo we made for Qualcomm so they could show off their snapdragon technology. However it is possible that ilomilo will be released for portable platforms in the future.

According to the FAQ of Ilomilo.com
So, as Southend hired new programmers and developpers (according to their site), I hope we'll see it on our Android devices because I tried it on my old HD2 converted into an HD7 and I find it really nice and fun to play, bug, ugh, as WP7 hardware is totally outdated, the graphics sucks!
Could'nt Qualcomm release the version Southend made for them on Android, the work is already done, it just needs a little push to get on our market, come on guys XD
But, Southend will soon release Desert Winds (which seems nice but not really my type of game) so perhaps, after that :-/

No. It's a standalone app. It will be merged with the Game Controller Test project and will go live on Play Store instead of beta testing.
Xbox emulator has been simplified in some respects compared to the previous Anno game. One of my friends is the craziest fan of playing a GTA game on the XBOX console, which he plays on the Xbox after he bought Xbox live 50 euro kaufen that offers a variety of game also visit the website of Press-start.com
