If you live outside North America, you might not even know, that SoundHound contains LiveLyrics feature, which shows you synchronized scrolling lyrics as the recognized song plays. However, this feature is not available outside USA and Canada. Therefore I decided to do something about that, and this is the result. Now you can also enjoy LiveLyrics in Europe, Asia, or anywhere else. Just run Lyrics Enabler instead of the SoundHound app.
You should know a few things about this app:
-You need to have SoundHound installed (either Free or Paid version, doesn't matter) in order to make it work. No, I won't make it for Shazam.
-Make sure that you do not run SoundHound before Lyrics Enabler. If you do, close SoundHound first, or it won't work.
-The lyrics will only show up if they are available in SoundHound, so test it on some well-known older hits first.
-You can immediately start the recognition by holding down Search button for a while. Launcher shortcut is also available.
-The app is not guaranteed to work with future updates of SoundHound. I will do my best to keep it working, but if I cannot make it, there will be no refunds after they block it. If you want to be 100% sure that you won't lose your money, dont't buy it .

With what version of SoundHound doest it work?
The most recent?????
sony xperia ray ics 4.0.4
stock rom unrooted
How good it is like really good or what?
Sent from my LG-E739 using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2
Tried with;
v2.7.5 (not working)
v5.0.2 (not working)
v5.1.7 (not working)
and I cant request refund
I beleive that they changed something on the server, so for some people it won't work even with the old versions of SoundHound. I will work on some better solution. If you have purchased AFTER the change and never seen the LiveLyrics, just send me an e-mail and I will refund you manually.
I live in Amsterdam. My Samsung Galaxy S3 (Jelly bean 4.1.1) doesn't show LiveLyrics and a in a sony ericsson x10 mini (Gingerbread 2.3.7) works like a charm, both showing same location inside Soundhound (v5.2.1a)
How can it be possilbe?
No free version?
working nice for me and I am from India.

This post has more than 1,5 years. Is it working now? With v5.7?
You should keep us updated with which versions is working, this is a great idea! Thanks for your effort!

For some people it does, but for some it doesn't . I have too much work lately, and LyricsEnabler is on the very bottom of my to-do list, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to work on it anytime soon. Just try the current version, and if you can't get it working, send me an e-mail and I will refund your purchase.
Hi
I recently downloaded dSploit from their website, but after I found it on Play Store too, I just downloaded that one instead.
I saw that my date was 1-1-2015, so I thought that it was a malware. I deleted it and then tried open Play Store, but was not able too. After waiting for Play Store (as I just thought I had slow internet) two messages popped up. One that said something with an program trying to connect to Play Store and another saying Google Maps could not work/open or something like that.
I fast turned off the phone and opened it again. After that my date was normal and I could open Play Store. I downloaded 360 security and ran a scan and it said my phone was clear.
But just to be sure, is it possible for malware to hide on Android, just like on an PC? Also, is their any way I can check if it's still there, as I dislike an malware being able to spy.
Thanks in advance
No there is no maleware in your device(uptil I know). And the reason why your play store was working is because of the date and time. Play store does'nt works if the user does'nt enters the date and time correctly.
Please press the thanks button if you think I helped

Well kind of, but you still get a thanks.
The thing was, that the program I downloaded from Play Store changed my date and didn't allow me to surf the web without getting redirected and so on.
So what I was curious about, was that after deletion of the program, am I still infected or can malware hide on Android, just like on windows? Or when then app itself is deleted, so is the malware?
Thanks in advance
Well I think there is no maleware but I still prefer you to run an anti-virus check so all of your doubts are removed

i read various posts about play store but i did not find something similar,
so here is my problem,
Play store load, download and update normally from my smartphone (Jiayu G3S)
Sometimes i want to download some apps from play store from my pc (windows 7)
Always i was following this steps.
When i found my favourite app i hit the install button and hit again in the button which says
that the app will install soon in my smartphone.
So i am waiting in my smartphone but 2-3 days nothing happens....
Suddenly when i open playstore from my smartphone, apps are start downloading!!!
Also installation finish normally as always.
If i am not open play store from the smartphone does not start anything,
so finally if i want to install an app, i must start search again and installation works only from the smartphone....
I try all the solutions (clear cache etc) and nothing come better
Any ideas?
Hi,
I have a tablet with android 4.4.2. I flashed it with this "vanilla" version that someone made for this tablet based on the official one. The official one is 4.2.2 and comes full with crapps.
Well, im new in this android thing... I am confused with several things:
- Im annoyed for when you "close" something, yet it is on the list when you click on the button with the "windows". I went to developer tools and selected "dont keep activities" yet they are still there. Do i have to do any more thing or I have to download an app for this? I mean i did this:
http://i.imgur.com/qCfk7hd.png
- Even more confused in how downloads work. I had the apps that came with the android i installed, google and youtube. Google play store was set to auto update, yet it wasnt updating at all. I had to go to app store to "google" app, which it said it was already installed, and select it to update to start updating. I had to do the same with the youtube app... and there are some more apps that I want to update them themselves and not me being clicking in update in each one... how can i do this? it come "auto update apps" option enabled and i haven touched it. why isnt it auto updating them? is there a button somewhere that i can click so everything updates?
- Even more and more confused in how the hell they update! I mean, i did the update in google and start downloading 36MB. Tablet shut downs screen... I turn it on again and the app said no more that it was downloading. It just couldnt download those 36MB in those seconds. Same happened with youtube one.
- Same with adblock. I downloaded, it said x/36MB and when it went around 20MB (this time i was touching the screen so it wouldnt shut down) and the downloading bar disappeared and said "installed". WTF? I cant find anywhere that it is downloading and I cant be sure that it is all installed and downloaded. what happened with the remaining MBs?
I find all of these downloads and apps things very confusing. i can never be sure that they are downloading or not, or i dont have any control to stop the downloads when I want.
Now... With smartphone... I have a Galaxy S I9001 and want to unlock it... Im trying the Galaxy S unlocked but it says that there are problems with busybox all the time, but busy box ins installed, with the root. I have cyanogen mod 12.1 from this page, maybe is that? Is there anything I can do to unlocking it without paying to get a code?
Thanks you very much

Hi there,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
I would suggest you to try posting your query over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help to get expert's help
Good luck.
Hi, there are plenty of youtube videos about installing google play services onto the 10" tablet (2017 version). After the November 4th update the install button is greyed out, and can't be "clicked". However, someone has found a trick to bypass it. This is not my idea, I used it and am passing it on.
You need to install some (1 per APK you need to install) small apps from the Amazon app store. Any apps will do, small is quicker, you're going to delete them anyway. After installing the Amazon apps start to install the first apk (Google services or whatever). When you get to the point where the install button is greyed out, tap "home" (middle round button). Now hold one of the amazon apps until the uninstall option appears, and uninstall it. Tap the right (square) button to show all running apps, and open the window of the APK install. The install button now works. Repeat as many times as are needed to get all your APK's installed. Hurry, I doubt this will work for long

Thank you, this worked for me.

Hi there, I just got my HD 10 (2017) today and I found your thread while searching for the reason my Install button was greyed out. While I was reading your post, I may have discovered a slightly easier way to do this.
Start installing your apk, and get to screen where Install is greyed out.
Press the power button to put your device to sleep.
Press the power button again, and unlock your device.
The Install button should activate when your device unlocks, allowing you to install your apk.
I was able to install a number of apks without having to download anything from the Amazon Appstore. I hope this helps someone.

I just set up my new fire tablet and can confirm that this method works. Thanks!:highfive:
I'm planning to buy a Fire HD 10 on the Black Friday at $99 (to replace my aging Samsung Galaxy TabPro 8.4) but I really need to be able to have the Play Store on it, otherwise, no big use for me, even though I'm a Prime member. Hope these tricks you guys find to install apks keep on working, even when Amazon will update the OS...
My Fire HD 10 (2017) auto-updated to 5.6.0.0 a few days ago. Is this the update being discussed? I couldn't find any info on what is new or changed in 5.6.0.0.
Great Work Around
It kicked and screamed a bit. I initially had to wait for the tablet to go to sleep on it's own, then unlocking before the install button became active, after that, the additional files install button worked with forcing sleep and unlocking. Buggy for sure, great workaround, thanks!! > HD8, 6th Gen 5.6.0.0
I found a much easier way
Start APK Install till the point where the Install button is greyed out ... click the square "key" to activate task view ... select the installer app ... button is no longer greyed out
Just to be clear, i understand this is a way to install apps for the play store. Does this allow then for the app to behave like its on say a samsung smartphone?
IE: A game i play is platform specific, and your account is as well. I have it on my android phone, if i do this for the game on the HD 10, will i have access to my android account then?

Thanks for this tip. I just spent ages resetting my Fire tablet, as I had the greyed out install button you describe. I reset it, reinstalled Google Play, and then tried to sideload AC Market. The install greyed out, so I followed your instructions regarding the power button. It worked perfectly. I still am none the wiser as to the cause of the problem, but this is a simple workaround to get sideloaded apps installed.

Question: when there's an automatic system update from Amazon, does it prevent the apps installed from Google Play Store to work, or to update themselves?
Thank You, Thank You

I am so glad you posted this solution! I setup the play store and custom launcher yesterday and then my kindle updated. I had to make some adjustments so I decided to do a factory reset and start fresh today and couldn't install any apks.

1) I just got my Fire HD 10 today (11/20/17) because it is on sale now for $99, so no need to wait!
2) Installed Google Play Store and so far it looks fine (I logged into my account and it came up normally), but haven't installed any apps from it yet. As I was writing this I got an email titled "your new Amazon Fire HD 10 (2017) doesn't have the latest Google apps" which listed YouTube, GMail and Chrome, so I am expecting it work OK.
3) I used a procedure I found in a page called "How to Install Google Play on 2017 Fire Tablets in 5 Minutes" (just Google it). A couple of things to note:
a) I could not get the latest version of the Google Account Manager to install (parsing error), so you have to download the versions referenced in the article's links.
b) After you have installed the Google Play Services APK (#3 in the links list), you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of permissions before the power off/on/unlock work-around will get the install button to work.
Hope this info is useful. Have fun!

Can't buy it before Friday... I'm from Canada... But I'll be in the USA this coming weekend...
Thanks for the infos. Hope it'll continue to work fine even after an automatic system update from Amazon...
Thank you!
Seriously, this works so much better than having to d/l and then uninstall apps. I created an account on this site JUST to thank you!
Purchased my tablet yesterday from best buy. Installed everything without having to do any workaround besides side loading. The only issue I see are that the icons in the play store are really big.
