Seido 3800 maH battery purchased! - best practices? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-BACY38...yrocket/dp/tech-data/B006SQ12E8/ref=de_a_smtd
Just purchased the battery above! My very first Seido. Hope everything goes well but based on the reviews it should do exactly what I want and need it to do! Can anyone give me any input on best practices once I get my battery in? I did rush delivery and it should be here tomorrow.
1) I've read a couple people saying it reads 100% all day and some people say it reads perfectly find (battery is at 50% and the indicator on the phone actually says 50% too). How do I get it to read the battery correctly?
2) Also, should I charge it once I receive it first or should I put it in the phone and drain it all the way first then start charging?
3) Does the battery have that auto off charging thing that turns off charging when it reaches full? Or do you have to baby sit it and your phone when it's charging and unplug it from the charger manually to stop the charging from ruining the battery?
4) Is the battery actually fully charged once your phone says 100% or do you have to charge a couple hours after that still?

I have one.
- youll want to properly calibrate your battery. Mine came with about 40% to start with. Just use it normally to drain it first then fully charge up to 100%. When you reach it youll want to charge it an extra 2 hours or so. Also dont forget to wipe battery stats and pull it out for 30 seconds before use.
- it took me about 6-7 charges to get it going at its full potential.
- try to avoid charging in the middle of battery use to 0%.

Thanks man.
Ok I received it and I was able to drain it from what it read as "40%" and brought it down to 0% dead with a bunch of indoor GPS, pandora playing, all radios on, and max brightness and screen on in about 3 hours.
I'm letting it charge now to 100%, going to let it charge an additional 2 hours after that and then "wipe battery stats."
[Q] Does this mean go into recovery and do the wipe battery stats option in there after it hits 100% + 2 hours?
[Q] What does it mean pull it out for 30s before use? Does this mean wipe battery stats -> then take the battery out of the phone for 30s -> put the battery back in -> turn it on? Is that the right order?
If someone could answer soon that'd be awesome. It's charging right now and I want to make sure to get this down right the first time

Id say your good with the drain and recharge plus the extra 2 hr.some may say battery stats are a myth.I look at devs roms and none if there instructions include reset battery stats if I helped hit thanks...good luck with your battery I hope it helps

Charge it to 100% + extra 2 hours then go to recovery and wipe battery stats. After that turn ur phone off pull out the battery out for 30 sec. Then put it back in and proceed with normal use. Then as I said before try to avoid charging in the middle to its way to 0%. And repeat.
The myth about battery stats was regarding a different matter. When i did not calibrate my battery for a long time I noticed that it decreased total life by 10%. So it is imperative that u do it at least time to time.

Been doing it and im VERY happy with this battery. I actually do not mind at all the "bulk" that the battery + cover brings to the phone, I prefer it! It makes the phone less slippery and a much better feel in my hand!
I ordered the case + clip holder from Seido as well and can't wait to get those in.
First test: (I never charged it the entire day)
3 hours of GPS
heavy browsing
music playing every once in a while
pandora
max brightness
no juicedefender, but i did use SetCPU to underclock the CPU when the battery got too hot (which never happened)
Lasted from 7am to 6pm. That is an INSANE amount of time considering all the unnecessary stuff I was doing with it! This battery is amazing!
I'm going through a "regular" day of usage today instead of trying purposefully to drain it. It's been off the charger since 7am and its sitting at 72%. Satisfied! :highfive:

I just flashed CM9 Nightly 07162012 yesterday and the battery life has been amazing.
I work at AT&T Corporate Store so I use it at work.
-A few calls
-Texting
-Pandora
-Metal Slug 3
-Facebook
-Instagram
So basically my daily usage and within those 23 hours it also includes me downloading all my apps and syncing my information on to it.
*Oh, I also have the same battery. That's why I posted this on here.*

Info about my battery life

My battery seems to be REALLY bad. Worse than most peoples from what i gather from reading threads. I get about 8 hours from a full charge with minimal use. It seems that my screen is taking up most of the battery, according to my battery use page.... Any one else having major battery drain like I am??

My display is taking a huge percentage as well. Everything else is low percentages. Don't know why. My screen is always either on auto brightness or completely dim.

Give it a while and a few recharges. It should get better. Same thing happened to me. It's slowly getting better. I have it about a week now.

I was getting 7 to 8 hours at first, had my phone almost 2 weeks now and am now getting just under 20 hours with moderate use.
Give it time. My sensation has far better battery life compared with my DHD.

Peeps, you missed most important thing. Look at the AWAKE line. Either OP is playing a lot with th phone, or something is not letting it sleep.
Yeah, the battery really plummets when you actually use the phone (even on low brightness) but it idles quite efficiently at least...
Did u try juice defender? Just asking ify bout the sensation dnt knw either to get it or wait for sumthing else

Yeah, noticed same thing
I downloaded juice defender beta? whatever the free one was. To me that app does not have a good layout at all, either that or I was missing something. There dont seem to be any personalization settings at all. I dont trust apps to work when they just say "im doing something!!" ya know?
Now that I think about it on that charge I was playing music while I worked on my car for a while, that would explain the awake time. Even without doing that battery life is still really bad and the screen takes up 80%+. I will post another pic after my battery dies today. Dont plan on using it much so hopefully it will last longer.
That is good news about life getting better after a week or two though cause 8 hours with moderate use is unacceptable. My MT4G got a good 24 hours with pretty heavy use, I expect this thing to get at least half that.
i use juice defender and under normal use and a few hours of pandora streaming on wifi im at 35 hours at 40% battery
My phone was also drained like madness, within 6 hours it was empty, even if I didn't do anything with it. At the moment it is better, I did a factory reset through the startup of the phone (turn phone off, remove batt, place batt, hold volume down and push on/off button). There is an option to factory reset.
Strange thing was that when I turned off my phone before the factory reset, it was telling 34% batt. Right after the factory reset is was at 89% ???
I use Battery Status Bar app to display my batt in percentage...
But the good news is, my problem is now solved. Battery lasts for more than a day at normal use and 6-8 hours while very actively handeling it.
Looks like it was a reading wrong information or something...
Got 11 hours out of a battery today. So far its been charging for 4.5 hours and is at 94% charge. Takes about half as long to charge it as it does to kill it!
I will give juice defender a try. Seems like it works for a lot of people.

I had same kind of long charging last night. Battery died at about 7:30pm. I plugged it and did not turn the power on. Went to play some ice hockey and after that I turned the power on again at about 10:10pm and it was still charging. At about 11:20pm(still charging) I unplugged for a couple of seconds to see the specs of the charger and then plugged back, surprisingly percentage jumped to 100. It was still on 100 this morning at about 8:00am.
Now I found out that phones own battery monitor tells me that time on battery is roughly 8 hours But when I check the time from Battery Indicator it tells me that time on battery is roughly 15 hours, which is correct.
Seems that a lot of people are getting false battery readings, me included. I did a factory reset last night and this seemed to fix this, at least until now it seems to report correct (realistic) values. I haven't charged the battery after the reset so we will see if charging messes it up again...
I hope this is a software problem, i really don't want to exchange my phone, i don't have any of the other problems.
what sort of battery times are acceptable for this phone? many are suggesting factory resets and all i wonder if i should do it or not. if i charge the phone overnight it goes to power saver mode usually say 8-9pm and then the power saver mode (basically dim screen and no gps wifi remains on) is managing to hold the power till i go to bed and charge it. is this ok?
juice defender seems to be recommended eh? maybe one should should try that before the factory reset. btw if factory reset done whats the best way to restore your phones contacts to how they are now? i mean it took forever to link all the facebook, phone and microsoft exchange contacts and offcourse gmails. dont want to go through that again.
I tried juice defender last night and it didnt seem to help. I lost 45% overnight without me even using the phone! When I fell asleep the battery meter said 100% still and I woke up to 55%. The phone says there is some awake time, wonder what it could be? As much as I dont want to do it I think a factory restore may be an option since nothing else is really helping. Should I wait until the battery is 100% before I reset it?
Some new pics, keep in mind I was asleep for all of this use except for what the screen awake time says.

I would say you battery life isnt that bad, if it lasts a day then it sounds about right. People are saying the batteries last longer after a couple weeks or so. If you do factory reset try and connect to wifi when google is restoring your contacts and such, it makes things go a lot faster.
I managed just over 9 hours on my first charged but I'm recharging it now and it went straight up to 31% when it booted up again :S
Me and my gf both have a Sensation now(i upgraded from HTC Desire, and she a HTC Legend), we are both pleased with the battery on the phones, she uses stock Sense, and i use LauncherPro, though we did learn something from our older phones, the thing that drains battery extremely much is all the notification emails Facebook automatically send(gmail push), these are almost turned off to 100%, next thing is to turn off all syncronisation in the phone you don't use, ex. i use Launcherpro therefore i don't need the phone to update Sense's own weather, and so on.
We both normally charge the phone every night, but i guess my phone would last almost 2 days on days i don't use it that much.
I must say i am extremely satisfied with my phone, the thing that i dislike the most is the camera, or to say it in a different way, if i didn't know the SG2 had a slightly better camera i may have been more satisfied

You should not have anywhere near 100% awake time unless you're using the phone at all times. You have some app that is not shutting down or auto-updating far too often. That's your culprit - find it and your battery life will improve.

[Q] Battery Life, Return Or Not?

First off, I am loving the phone. It is such a massive leap from the N1 I had been using. While I expected lower battery life, I did not expect to run through 70% of the battery in 4 hours with moderate usage.

I have heard of people getting far better battery life, and have tried the various methods, from charging to 100% then turning the phone off and charging again to 100%, using juice defender ultimate, and even resorting to factory resetting the phone. Still I can't get any kind of good life out of the battery. My question is should I try and get a full replacement for the phone or just the battery? I've only had it sinceblast Thursday, so I know AT&T will happily exchange it, but if yall think it's just the battery, I'd rather just replace that then the whole phone.

Have you found out what is using your battery?.. Even before I rooted and all the other stuff was getting at least 10hr.. now Im getting 24-28hours...
Are you running another ROM other than stock?
Didn't want to root if I needed to return anything, so I am running stock currently. Looking no app seems to be running away and draining all the battery. Everything looks the same as it did on my N1 in terms of what's draining the battery, which is what lead me to believe it's a bad battery possibly.

Well if you do root than TPC's Rom is the best. It comes with kernel and the battery life is outstanding.

I was concerned with battery life at first as well. When I first got this thing I had to plug up 9 hours after I unplugged. So now I am near 30 days with it and the battery seems to have leveled out enough for me to be happy. I got 16 hours on it STOCK no ROOT the other day without plugging in, was at 10% when I finally plugged in. Yesterday I activated Juice Defender again after getting some questions answered. I got 17 hours without a plug in and was still at 25%, so i probably could have gotten 20+ hours if I needed it.
So I am happy now 17+ hours is plenty long enough for me, I always plug in at bedtime anyway.
I'm wondering how many people who are reporting battery issues, if they have calibrated them. Charge your battery all the way, use the phone until the battery dies, then fully charge. This will give a more accurate reading as far percentage used.

There is a new ROM Piret RC1, the battery life is amazing, it has a different Kernel as the one with TPC has it';s problems.
RC1 is clean fast and in 2 hours I used up 4%. Then turned every possible service on used it up like crazy to drain the battery, installing/backing up/ flashing new rom and it took 2 hours with heavy usage to drain from 17%. Just to compare last night I had a TPC ROM and was on WhatsApp for about an Hour and battery went from 85 to 34 %.
Re: Returning the phone.
First once you root you can the same way unroot, make sure first you install a stock ROM.
My friends have the same problem, one with this phone, and others with android phones in general, don;t waist your time returnig. To be safe you also have a year to send it to Samsung to get fixed if there is something wrong with it.
Basically, running apps will kill battery, location services kills it the most, sync not so much, heavy use of data does to (I have LTE plan). Use power saver to start at 70%, configure it right, use the CPU app to manage the speed ondemand.
Most important don't frick out, the andoid phones are like that, the major difference is that Iphone does maybe 20% of what android phone does in standby and many things are not available on Iphone, so the battery is better. You will not get more then a day of use on android if you use it to your benefit. 28H is mostly standby, no sync, no internet usage, just moderate. I used to use Iphone heavy and battery would not last a day.
Get a good data plan, don;t use WI-Fi unless u have too, when syncing with the car plug it in the charger, spend extra $10 get a Samsung cable from them, don;t go for cheap 10 dollar once or even 1 dollar once from China, they are very slow to charge. My cable from the box take 1.5 H to charge to 100.
Hope it helps, please don;t quote me on anything, this is purely based on research and one week usage and trying different things, it's strictly my opinion, don;t expect your phone to last like they use too, it's 21st century and techno in it is overwhelming and needs power. Keep the phone have two cables and enjoy!

I have been reading on the battery issues, long before I posted. I have done everything from calibrating, to using juice defender ultimate, to doing a ritualistic dance to try and coax more battery life out of this phone. Still with nothing but 2 phone calls and one quick spelling look up, dead within 8 1/2 hours.
I just got my extra battery and charger from samsung in today, already fully charged up this battery and will see what it can do for a few days. I'm hoping my problems are just a random bad battery. I also factory restored and am running bare minimum on apps just to try and remove all variables. If there still is a problem I will exhange it for another one next week. I just hope they still have some white ones in stock

My battery went completely dead too. I returned mine. Black model though. New one is doing okay so far. Better since it doesn't report 100% battery until a reboot...
Finally went and exchanged it last night. So far I have gotten 9 hours of battery life and am only down to 70%. Better than before, but the vertical lines on the screen are worse on this one than the last.

I have almost the opposite "problem." Not that I'd call it a problem just yet. I had my phone running from about 10am till 1am yesterday. I went to bed and plugged the charger in and it instantly said "battery charged 100%. Remove charger." 15 hours with no drain at all? Granted, I didn't do much with it yesterday but send about 20 text messages.
Going on 32 hours+ battery life and no vertical lines.. bought it when it came out Nov6....

30% in 9 hr's? you need to see what is killing your battery... unless you play games or on the net all day.. that is not good at all..
I lose about 1% an hour..
I don't know what you smoking man but i tried his rom and never had issues. Let me tell you I Have ORD so my suggestion will be based on my usage rather than prediction. I have tried most of the themed/tweaked roms. Don't like stock rom.

Are you like me with battery life?

I'm getting pretty good battery life on bean R2 (I easily average 20+hrs). But no matter which ROM I am on, no matter if I'm getting great or poor battery life, I always start to get on edge once I have dropped below 70%. I start to think, damn there goes battery today. I realize I still have 3/4 of my battery remaining but I just feel this anxiety that my phone is not near full charge.
I let it drain to empty a couple times a month but it becomes almost unbearable when I get down to the last 1/3 of my battery life.
Is it just me?

sounds like you need to turn off percentages. I had this problem until i turned it off. Now i have to go a few steps further to find out what it actually is and that makes me not care as much.
My battery life is HORRIBLE.
Have you tried using an app like GSam Battery Monitor?
I've been able to track down a few issues with that app, including one where I needed to wipe my cache to stop my internal sd card from being continuously scanned.
I always get over 2 hours of screen time over the course of a day. Currently using AOKP Jelly Bean, and it's still the same!

I realize I still have 3/4 of my battery remaining but I just feel this anxiety that my phone is not near full charge.
I let it drain to empty a couple times a month but it becomes almost unbearable when I get down to the last 1/3 of my battery life.
Is it just me?

Don't drain your battery. People really need to stop thinking these are the old batteries of yesteryear. Draining your battery will cause it stress and lower it's overall life and charge over time. Draining your battery is causing exactly what you're trying to prevent. Best practice is to let it get to 15-20% and then charge.
On topic, I get anxiety about battery at around 70% too. Mostly because it seems to hit that point pretty fast, but then can last the rest of the day no problem.
Have fun with your new phone and keep a charger on stand by! If you use your phone medium to heavy use you should get to the end of your work day and you can charge it when you get home. Did you get your sd card issue resolved?

Ive found that having a spare battery always charged, along with the spare battery charger handy so I can charge a battery while using my phone, works great for my mental 'battery issues'!
On Synergy 1.3, I have AMAZING battery life! Can usually go 2 days between charges if I wanted to...Unplug the phone at 8am and at midnight, I'm rocking 50-60% still, depending on the day.
GSam Battery Monitor can help find apps that are abnormally draining the battery...But I've found that it too can cause the phone to get stuck in a wake lock...So I don't keep it installed, only use it if I have a weird battery drain issue.
I'm the same way, if not worse. I constantly look at power usage (in miliamps and %/hr). I should just remove all battery widgets and percentages, I almost always have enough battery, just paranoid.

That's weird how they do that.
My phone does the same exact thing with the big 4000+ Hyperion battery. It drops to 70% in what seems like no time at all, then three hours later it is still at 70%. The battery gauge obviously is not very accurate at all.
Right now, my phone has been on for just under 10 hours and says it is at 40%. if I just let it go (I charge it every night) it would run all night and still be at around 40% tomorrow morning.
I am the same way after just installing synergy 1.3 on saturday I have been constantly checking battery percentage. Anytime I change anything I get obsessed with it for a while.
This is what I like to see! Used to not be able to get close to 3 hours screen on.

Switched to beans custom rom. This will be my first discharge though.
Battery
I've read about the new batteries and not letting them completely discharge, instead recharging when it gets to 15% or so.My battery life was awful, if I was at 45% or less I needed to plug it in before going to bed. This was a daily thing, I charged my phone every night, Well I forgot the other night and woke up to a dead battery. I plugged the phone in and turned it on while charging. I charged it to 100%. This was 2 mornings ago (not been charged since) and I'm just now a 46% with normal usage (for me). I just thought this was interesting and wonder if anyone else has experienced this or can replicate it.
Battery Life
I'm getting smoking battery life, been tethering a good 2/3 hours and been on the phone and answering email add day and checking this site. I am on 1.5 Synengy, and using the Snapdragon CPU script that was posted in one of the forums. I can post the link as I don't have a large enough post count, however I would search the forum and find the mod and use it.
It's amazing, I'm at 51% battery and have not plugged in all day. I unplugged it at 7:30 am Arizona time and it's 4:30pm AZ time.
Try it, it' works.

Here is what I was talking about it's works for me.
Here is the link to the mod I used on my G3 it works amazing, it's a little confusing to enable, but one it's enabled you can rest assured it will work.
You can also change the processor speeds along with the battery save options.
Make sure you read the OP VERY CAREFULLY, it's where all the details are to run the script.

Wow, your cell standby was eating you up. Hope you got that fixed.
As far as battery life, I feel mine is average to good. Cell standby and Android OS account for only 9% and 5% of my battery, the other 52% of it used up is screen.. so I think thats pretty good numbers to see.

Weird battery issue

For the past little while my battery has been draining very quickly. It turns out that my power button wasn't grounded and stopped working soon after the battery issues started. I got the power button replaced and ordered a new battery, but now the battery is acting even weirder and I'm not sure if it's a issue with the new battery or with my phone.
The battery will drain fairly slowly (six hours to go from 90% to 50%), but will then drop from 50% to 30% in a matter of minutes and then to 13% even quicker before the phone will shut down completely. I've tried wrong the battery stats but it doesn't seem to have helped.
I'm guessing that it's a problem with the new battery, but I was wondering if anyone had experienced any similar issues? I'm going to switch back to the old battery and see how long it lets as a test but I would like to figure this out soon. Thanks

Hi,
Maybe u can post ur battery stats to help us understand what ur using during the battery drain.
What ROM/kernel are u using?
Is the drainage during WiFi or data usage. If its data, how strong is ur signal?
There is so much that can be causing this so the more info, the better.
Oh, and is the new battery a knock-off? If so that can also be an issue.
Where did u buy it?
Thx

My battery stats from last night were mainly screen and maps. I turned off automatic updating in maps though. I can edit this post after I use my phone a bit.
I'm on stock everything but rooted.
I always leave WiFi on, but the battery has gone from 50 to 30 to dead when I wasn't connected to a network. My signal without WiFi is normally three to four bars, and WiFi is about the same.
The new battery is more than likely a knockoff. I ordered a $10 battery from eBay (my bad).
Sorry about not paying more info. I wasn't sure what else to post. Please let me know if there's anything else you need to know. Thanks

Well if you're stock(I assume you rooted but kept the same ROM) then maybe you can change kernels
or
Look for a ROM that has the stock feel but has tweaks that can save your battery life. There are a few out there.
But you'll get arguments that stock is not always the best ROM for great battery life.
Its a personal choice so look at the ROMs and pick one after you've read the thread to see similar issues/wants from it.
Good luck
If you are on Jellybean Stock then you should seriously consider using a custom ROM because Google hasn't yet released the perfect Jellybean like they released the perfect ICS in 4.0.4 update..
Secondly, you should try cyanogenmod based ROMs whichever have been great when talking about battery life (There are really awesome ROMs out there).
And follow the below mentioned steps and observe for a full 100-0% cycle drain times and get screenshots of battery stats with screentime and post here..
1. Turn the Screen Brightness to minimum; the tolerable value for you.
2. Remove any unwanted apps.
3. Keep WiFi switched off when not in use.
4. Set the multitask value by Going to Settings -> Developer options -> Background process limit -> At most 4 processes
5. Use minimum widgets and minimum home screens if possible
6. Uncheck the location services in settings. You can switch them ON when required very easily.
7. Clear Running Apps from Settings -> Apps -> RUNNING & also by long pressing Home button.
8. Clear cache at regular intervals and always use back button rather than using Home button
If above steps make a difference then it will become your style or else change the battery and get something like from OEM.

I took some of dark's advice, although I had already been doing a lot of that stuff. I'm not complaining about the battery life on the stock rom (I have already accepted that it's not the best), but rather the issue of having my battery drop from 50% to dead within 20 minutes, even without use (not at all normal for me). Does anyone know what could be causing that issue?

edit: i'm sort of wondering if my phone is reading the battery correctly. it kind of seems like six hours is a lot of uptime just to get to 50%, so the rapid drop to zero might just be because the phone isn't correctly reporting the battery's charge.
edit #2: my phone got down to ~30% battery no problem before it shut off completely. upon plugging it in to get the phone turned on, the battery had dropped to 20% and then dropped to 17% with the screen off and the phone plugged in

Your battery seems to be good enough to withstand the usage. There is one thing you can still try;
Let the battery drain completely and let the phone get switched off.
1. Now plug in the charger and on the phone go to your recovery. Here I suppose you have the latest CWM recovery.
2. Go to Advanced -> Clear Battery Stats -> Confirm by scrolling. Then reboot the phone and avoid using it before it's charged completely.
3. Now let the battery charge 100% and only after that you unplug it and don't interrupt the charge cycle.
4. Observe the changes in discharge timings. And also paste a screenshot of Screen Usage time by tapping on Settings -> Battery -> Screen (The Time on details...)

I'll try that later. I thought you were supposed to reset battery stats when your battery was completely charged so that's how I did it the first time thanks
edit: i'm just about to reset the battery stats again. my phone decided to show 40% battery as I was walking home, but then shut off and shows 0% battery now that i'm home and have access to a charger. i'll let you know what happens once the phone is fully charged. additionally, my phone will say charged while plugged in when my battery monitor thing says that it's only at ~89%, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. thanks again
Everything seems to be going well today. I'm about 8.5 hours on battery now so I figure I'll let my phone charge a bit. Thanks again, dark. Hopefully this time it'll stick.

Every battery exhibits different discharge curves vs voltage. The os estimates battery level based on voltage. It is possible that the batteries discharge curve is just very flat throughout with a steep drop in voltage near the end which would produce the results you are experiencing. Wiping battery stats has no bearing on this issue, google cleared up what battery stats really does over a year ago. Best suggestion is to drain the battery fully, charge to 100% and repeat the process several times. This will help both the batteries discharge curve and the os's estimation based on voltage. If the problem persists, buy another battery (preferably not a knockoff) and test again. If you are still having problems after that, you may have a hardware issue with the phone. Does not seem to be a Rom issue, otherwise the drain would be happening constantly, not just after 50%.

Is the One X supposed to charge like this?

After switching back to ViperXL and ElementalX from AOSP ROMs, I noticed that the phone seemed to be charging kind of slow, so I went and actually jotted down some data on the charge rate.
Time, battery percentage, delta percentage, delta time (interval), percentage [points] per minute, delta ppm, fast charge, and power source. The orange dot denotes when I turned fastcharge on.

Obviously, this isn't supposed to be definitive or even scientific, but I'm curious as to if other people's phones charge like this. The whole charging process took about 4 hours from ~15% to 100% (not completely documented).
The phone didn't seem to get any warmer than usual with FC on while ambient temps were ~60F/16C.

My power source was AC from the wall. It doesn't seem like Fast Charge from the wall makes any difference (it shouldn't have).
A 90min charge is much better than 4 hours... I feel like AOSP ROMs charge much quicker than Sense ROMs, but I don't have the data to back it up.

I've kinda noted these issues too. The last 10% of charging takes forever on my phone, but going from 100% to 90% takes no time at all.
On the other hand, going from 60% to 0% takes forever, but charging 0% to 60% takes about a half hour.

Maps is Greenify'd and Facebook isn't too high up on the list of App usage. If it was an app draining battery, wouldn't I see sub-par battery performance when off the charger? I got 14 hours total with 3 hours of screen-on time yesterday.

Not exatcly the correct spot but, will it do any harm to charge the One X with an iPAD charger?
I remember reading two things,
1. It might harm the battery in long term use.
2. It will not charge fast hence the One X's battery is capable of pulling 1A maximum. Not an electronics expert so apologies if this is a dumb thing to ask.

I don't think the issue is that they are consistent battery drainers. The issue is that they occasionally go "rogue" and kill your battery in short order. I've had maps kill like 30 percent charge in a matter of an hour. As soon as you kill the instance, the app restarts and goes right back to its minimal usage. No idea what causes it. The entire thing is just random. I did report it to Google, though, so hopefully it will get resolved.

Doubt it'll cause damage. If the One X only pulls 1A, then it'll only pull 1A. It's not like you're forcing it to pull more.

This seems normal behavior for charging of Li ion batteries, based on the first graph here: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries
Although the OP's issue sounds different, as the behavior seems to have started after flashing the new ROM.
