So what does this mean for the layperson. Will aosp roms be able to support the image sense camera now and all of its advanced features?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app

In addition to overclocking.

Don't know about sense camera support on AOSP ROMs since that requires a lot of libraries that don't play nice with the AOSP ones, but it should mean better support for the stock camera and quicker fold in to repos like CM 9.

Yes its called the g2x

Eventually it will have CyanogenMod on it.
I understand that the G2x has vanilla Android. I just like the bigger better screen of the HTC. I could do without Sense, after having the Nexus S.
The bootloader on the device is currently locked. HTC is going to unlock it eventually, and then we'll see what happens.

And the g2x is far from AOSP. I have it, trust me, it looks stock but underneath it's full of LGE's crappy framework and coding.

What's is the best tmous ROM?

I'm looking to stick with tmous roms for now because I didn't do step 4 on the s off guide. Anyone know which one will provide the best speed and smoothness?

I use Virtuous Sensation and I really like the advanced quick settings and that its available in ROM Manager so I can updates from there. Its smooth and I have more RAM available than on stock. No bloat and no annoying TMo startup/shutdown animations

You mean how it scrolls in pages? If so, it still does that, its a Sense 3 thing. When I'm scrolling through all the pages I don't see any hicccups.

Slimsense and civic roms are the best for me. Both run real smooth and fast with great data speeds.

all the tmobile us roms are good they all are stock base with a few tweaks try anyone there no faster than each other i tried them all even the new one training wheels

Sensation Roms work for the HTC amaze?

Just wondering if the sensation roms will work for the HTC amaze?
I love potato bushes!
Nope. No ROMs from other phones work on other phones unless they are ported to that specific device.

No. Although it shouldn't be hard to port them since they are both HTC Sense 3.0 based devices. Don't flash a ROM not made specifically for your phone. You WILL regret it.

I can recommend the OpenSensation CM9 build. It definitely stable (way more stable then HTC's ICS) and really fast. Been using it for about two months now and I'm happy with it.
Opensensation cm9.Do you know how many mb's the file is.the Rom size.

I believe it's around 128MB. It's way less then the bloated ROMs HTC produces.
I would recommend Virtuous Inquisition, basically stock Android 4, some HTC apks are left in such as camera as it is very good, but otherwise bloat free, smooth, fast, no problems

Thanks for the information on the Rom.Do you know by chance how big the file size is.

Are we ever gonna have touchwiz

Are we ever gonna have the full touchwiz ROM on the sensation
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Why would you want either touchwiz or sense?, just go with stock Android, that's where the good stuff is.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
i hope not. touchwiz sucks
the best UI besides stock would be sense

If you wanted touchwiz why didn't you buy GSII?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
I just want to see how touchwiz works and is it smooth or not
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I have found HTC Sense far more beautiful, better and smoother then Samsung's TouchWiz UI..
If you want to experience TouchWiz, its better to buy any TouchWiz enabled Samsung mobile.
i can't find the dislike button
I like the touchwiz on the gs3 that's why I wanna see if we could get it for the sensation
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
flash Elegancia and in the Aroma set up there's am option to use S3 launcher
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
no we wont, its owned by samsung and its closed source same as sense is. chances are very unlikely...
i could try to make it for the senation but cant promise that it will work

Then I wish you good luck but honestly its not worth the effort. Have you seen the number of sense ports to other manufacturers handsets around? They are not anywhere close to being stable and its going to be the same story here, you will probably get something booting, maybe with calls and WiFi, but I doubt Bluetooth, data, camera and 99% of other things

I'm sorry saying this but why are so many people up to this touchwiz UI? It might be just me but I think it feels so cheap, quickly drawn up cartoon UI with some ugly icons... No offence at all, do not get me wrong! I know many people like touchwiz and we have launchers and themes ...etc but I still swear to pure android UI or sense by htc. I did try many samsung devices including the S3 and the Note range as well but I just don't feel I could live with that after I owned 2 htc handsets. In my opinion there are reasons people are buying htc phones and one of them is the sense UI. But anyway, Good luck with porting this, if you succeed that proves how amazing the sensation developers are!
Flash any flavour of CyanogenMod 9 or 10, then download TouchWiz theme from the market.
