*FIXED*
I recently blew away my pc and reinstalled windows. Now I cant get adb to recognize my infuse.
Device manager says "infuse 4g" under other and "the drivers for this device are not installed"
I have installed the Infuse USB drivers from samsung multiple times, rebooted my pc, updated driver, etc.
I have installed kies.
I have flashed my phone back to AEON 2.3.6 and adb recognized the device.
I flashed back to CM9 and it doesnt work
I can mount my SD cards and transfer files just fine.
Before I blew away windows everything worked.
Am I missing a driver, do I have the wrong driver? Or does CM9 not work with USB debugging yet?
NEVERMIND I FIXED IT
New windows installation didnt have updates enabled yet. When I turned on updates it found the drivers and works. Carry On

Im coming from a mac so i picked up an older PC running windows xp so i could download Odin and flash my phone since its pretty much useless right now. I can install the drivers and the computer recognizes my phone but when i plug it in it says new hardware Samsung android USB Modem.
so i try to install it and it always gets stuck trying to install C:\windows\system32\drivers
it tells me that it might not function properly because it wasnt installed correctly.
I dont know what else to do

Where did you get the drivers (they should ahve been downloaded right from the samsung site)? Also what USB mode to you have your Phone in? I beleive for direct connection it has to be in Mass Storage mode. I didnt have any issues when I installed Kies onto my XP Machine and the phone was recognized right away.
I tried connecting my phone to my laptop today and it said installing drivers. It was working yesterday but today for some reason it was trying to install drivers again. It failed, so I downloaded the LG drivers and installed them but my laptop still tries to install the drivers and fails.
I already tried uninstalling the drivers and installing them again.
This is what it says under Device Status
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
EDIT: I got it working by turning on USB Debugging mode.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
by any chance did you ever figure this out? I flashed my g2x to hellfire ICS 4.0.4 and while I once was able to get the drivers to work, now I get the same error This device cannot start.
i have usb debugging and unknown sources enabled, but mass storage on my phone is disabled. is that related?
When I first got my T-Mobile G2X (LGP999DW) I installed the USB driver on my PC and it worked fine.
But since rooting, clockworkmod and install of CM7, every time I connect my G2X to my PC via USB I get a prompt to install the USB drivers for "LGE Android Phone".
I've installed the driver file
LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6.exe
but no joy. The LG Mobile Support Tool also won't recognize the phone.
Help!
im having the same problem. havent figured out the answer yet. help needed here as well...
I need help here... I'm trying to root this thing and I don't know if I have a software problem, USB issue or phone problem.
Running Vista Hpme Edition 32 bit.
I downloaded the Samsung Drivers 1.4.6 or something and the comp said they were already installed. Now when I plug my phone in, it tries to install drivers again and hangs up on CDC Serial and MTP. It asks for a CD with driver info.
I tried deleting the USB drivers and restarting the comp to reinitialize them. I did a factory reset on the phone. Then I plugged back in and I am still at a stand still.
Since it said the drivers were already installed, I tried debugfs to root it. It just stays stuck at "Waiting for device to be detected".
How do I get these drivers to load properly so that debugfs can detect my phone?
In windows explorer, I can see the I535 and my internal and external cards... Grrrrrrrr

At that prompt it should also ask you to install them either way, choose yes... install the drivers then try opening up Odin and see if it can see your phone....
Your phone will have to be in download mode, and Odin should show some sort of recognition as in a COM port address in the upper left....
If that fails, follow the guide in my sig, droidstyle put together a great step by step instruction....(You can also follow the sticky about how to return your phone to Verizon in this forum that I put together, except to choose root66 and don't re-lock the bootloader)
Nevermind... I installed Kies and that seemed to remedy the issue. Thank you, though.
I recently rooted and unlocked my bootloader on my N5 and now cannot for the life of me get MTP installed on my W7 PC. Ive tried using Wugs to clear drivers and reboot and reinstall but all it does is install ADB Interface driver.
Ive also changed USB port, used my N5 USB cable, and also cleaned drivers but nothing. In occasion when looking in USB Deview it shows an MTP driver but it just wont do a thing. Ive unticked MTP and switched to camera and back. Nothing.
So, I tried my N7 and surprise, the same thing has happened. Ive installed SDK and tried updating drivers, still nothing. Ive been at it for about 7 hours all in and about to throw the phone at the wall.
Can anyone offer an advice. ive read posts and tried the suggestions there but nought. I vaguely recall a programme that will wipe any naughty bits of rogue drivers (once uninstalled) but cant remember the name of it.
In portable devices I have E/ drive.
No one out there who can help??
