It's ok about 32gb and class 10 but I dont know if it will work really class 10
I'm fairly sure you can't get any higher than a class 4 32gb card.
Stay away from that class 10 32 gb card, i presume its fake offer. Must addmit that also i newer heard for class 10 32 gb

Hey. .. I am using a HTC desire. .rooted. .for almost a year now.. here's my biggest problem. I have been using Transcend 16gb CLASS 2 card. . Which is very slow. And I need to to buy a new card.. I was wondering if I should
Buy a class6 card or a class 10.. how much would the performance be affected. .moreover. . Which company is better transcend ..SanDisk. .or anything else.. ?!
Please help.

the best purchase atm is: Samsung micro SDcard class 10 - good price, good quality, very fast
Go for a class 10. I really notice a difference using my SLR camera when I swap between a Class 6 and the 10 - the 10 being way faster.

Class 10 all the way. I have a class 10 and it's slow, I wonder how slow will a lower class be.
I use class 10 cards in my DSLR, and would normally recommend them, however after installing CM7 on a microSD for my mother's nook color everything I read said your better getting a SanDisk class 2 than anything else, even in class 10. Apparently there is not a good standard for rating cards. I would recommend looking up specific benchmarks and choose from them.

I would not suggest a class 2 card as Android has issues reading it due to it being too slow. I have used class 4 and class 10 and I can feel a huge difference in the read and write speed.
Hi. I found this thread be very informative in my seach for a new sd card.... I'm searching the net for a good deal 32g micro sdcard @ 4 class.

Careful when buying sandisk especially online. There are some bad apolss out there selling improperly marked sd cards which say class 10 but really are just class 2.
Well Class 2 guarantess you 2MB/s, Class 6 6MB/s and Class 10 10MB/s.
6 is enough, 10 is better, see what you can afford.
Probably a tradeoff between speed and space.
Check how much space you really need.
Is it class so important?
I mean..when you have a class 4 isn't just enough for a smartphone?
Same thought. I have an 8GB class 4 SD card and i feel fine with it.

For just having media files on there, probably.
If you start putting apps to be run from there, you wan't as much speed as possible.
I think it much more depends on your ROM, not your external card. I have installed my apps on the ext2 partition and it does not appear to have any differences.

I havent noticed any differences between class 6 and class 10.
From personal experience, the speed of the card makes a big difference for the Desire because of all the app2sd games.
As someone mentioned before, brand and the store are also very important.
I bought a Lexar class 6 16GB and quite happy with it.
Make sure to do proper alignment on it.

I was thinking of this link coming into this thread, it needs to be a forum-wide sticky. For a camera, a class 10 would most definitely be required. But for Android, there does not seem to be a consensus.
Good luck
you should buy a class 10 dude samsung or another
Go for a class 10. If you aim for sales and such, you can get one for the normal price of class 6 cards.
i just got my note 10 today.. and plan to get a sd card for it.. im kinda blur on 1 question.. is there any diff between class 4 and class 10.. in term of running heavy game data (gamesoft) straight on the sd card.. will the diff be huge ?? thanks
I went with the class 10. It can write information faster. Should work better for everything in theory
Hi!
I am deciding between these 2 micro SD card's. Please tell me which one of these 2 is better.
1) PNY 8GB MicroSD Class 4 Memory Card
2) RetailPlus 8GB Class 10 microSD Card (MEMS8GC10)
Thanks
You don't have to judge between them. Both will be awesome somehow. Anyway I vote for PNY.

Well it really depends on how much memory you want in my opnion the more the better also how much can your device hold. Some device only go up to 32gb, I love my 64 gb sandisk class 10 running

Class 10 will be much faster, minimum 10Mb per second write speed. (If it really is a class 10)
I got a 16 GB Class 4 SanDisk microSD for around $20 or $30 while on sale. I find that you can often find these better known brands on sale quite often. Check weekly flyers of stores nearby.
Personally, I got mine from Tiger Direct.
EDIT: As for your two options, I do not need the speed that a class 10 microSD has to offer. I would just go with whichever is known to be more reliable. Exactly why I would opt to find a SanDisk on sale.
Class 10 is faster for read/write data.

Class 10 MicroSd is far better
Class 10 MicroSd is far better as it is also recommended for RAM expander app
Odp: Which micro SD card is better?
Class determine only write speed not read. If you are using card simple as storage you dont really need class 10 but ofc copying files will be faster. Class 10 is recomended for making hi res movies, gaming or ( as mentioned above) swap. Personally i recomend Samsung class 10 cards, no problems and nice speed.
i would say go with class 10 it is the faster out of the 2
as it is stated above if u use it for swap etc., a high speed card would be very handy, but as for just storage i'd go for pny.. btw take a look at this topic for the speeds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15269669#post15269669
Sorry for spam. I know there is many thread for same question i want to hear something from pico users :silly:
i hope i ll buy a new sd soon... and its maybe sandisk ult microsd class 10. 16gig
But i don t know is class 10 can slighly improve performance ? (making 3 partitions for roms or OCing)
now i have 8 gig class 4... 3 partition requed roms and int2ext ..etc works slowly... what is the reason for the slow? is it sd card problem?
thanks for your effort... and some google translate....
