[POLL] Which version of android you use? - Android General

this thread and poll is for informational purposes.
I know there is more polls but this includes Ice cream sandwich and Jelly Bean

What do you want me to answer? I have a GB base, but an ICS Rom installed over it.

Hi bmt25, one of the smoothest MIUI roms is Brainmasters, you can grab it from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181050
He has not posted the 1.12.9 but the smart thing about his rom is that once you've installed it you can get the MIUI OTA updates thrue the built in Updater app without loosing Brainmasters tweaks.
Nice.. ;-)

jelly bean and key lime pie after ice cream sandwitch

ok so google's next android version will be called jelly bean and then key lime pie.
But both coming for our device is next to impossible
see this thread for more info.
androidandme.com/tag/jelly-bean/
and see this also
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57390298-94/google-dishing-up-key-lime-pie-for-android/
what will be the version after key lime pie called i.e when it will come to 'l' ? maybe lolipop???
(previous name in alphabetical order are cupcake , donut , eclair , froyo , gingerbread , honeycomb , ice cream sandwitch and now possibly jelly bean and key lime pie)
what are your views about it?

kinder surprise is a nice one.
jelly bean is surely not possible for our device.i even doubt that we will get official ics update.
well porting cm10 is a distant future as we must first concentrate on cm9.
We wont be getting official ICS that's for sure, even galaxy s is not getting it.
Lets first get a stable ICS Rom, jellybean can be pondered upon later..

There's the steve jobs mod. Press a button and launch a random patent lawsuit.
Also, I think there's someone working on a brick mod as we speak. Great battery life, performance not so much...

I am actually having an issue with the jb rom on my ns4g. Says my bluetooth is connected phone&media to my car kit. Although, the media is not working. Phonecalls get routed through my car, but my music does not, Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. I wanted to post this issue in the proper thread although I currently do not have enough posts to post in a development thread :/

yes there are if you are running the deodexed version of jelly bean which i have. it is the same jelly bean you have now
but it just allows customizations and you can flash whichever mods that are available such as battery icons
etc..not sure if there is a version for the nexus s though.
for those who do not have it and are on a galaxy nexus i am sure some of you rooted ones would want to flash this version it is the lastest version with the update

once you flashed this version

No images at all on Eclair 2.1 i897ucjf6, leaked Froyo 2.2 ji6, or official Froyo 2.2 kb1.
First image appears on the GB Android platform...starting with the leaked GB 2.3.3 i897ucke3
Then images along with animated images appear first in the ICS.

By the looks of it, and I could be wrong,
5.0 isn't coming this year.
Google said last year that they were slowing down updates to let OEM catch up to present android firmware.
Also they would of placed KLP Andy outside of Google's HQ like they did for previous Android OS.
A stable version of JB would be nice since every other update just kind of breaks something else. But who knows!
Everyone now days is taking the Apple approach and not release any information or confirmation of releases so let's hope for the best!
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
its going to be 4.3 not 5.0
Google would stay with Jelly Bean since even now number of devices running Jelly Bean is less compared to Gingerbread and ics.
also according to Android police Google are working on a firmware starting from J indicating Jelly Bean
lets see what unveils at Google I/O
