My current set up is comprised of a number of things I have taken from all over XDA. The most important feature of "My Set Up" is my "MikFroyo" Base Rom. This is a Sense Rom, which absolutely rocks. If you haven't had the pleasure of running it on your EVO, then you really have to give it a try. Follow the Mik Link above to see what he has done with this base rom.
Once you have achieved greatness, and successfully flashed Mik's rom, you can add a variety of features to your base. Here is a small list of links, that are engineered to work with Miks base. To keep the speed of Miks base, you have to use these, or others that specifically state they are for the MikFroyo rom.

i found what i need but when i get to this point
Make sure you have PRESS RESET ON THE BACK AN PRESS POWER + HOME BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME UNTIL YOU SEE FWDN MODE IN BLUE ON SCREEN
i dont get the FWDN on the screen it reboots
im running this rom now

Ok... 4.1.2 is last OTA (official) update from Google. I assume you're on stock ROM. Need to know if you're unlocked, with custom recovery. If so then choose your Gingerbread ROM and flash away.
If you're on the normal stock ROM and that's all you know about your situation, I think you have several options. My suggestion is to find and read one of many guides on how to unlock, root and install custom recovery followed by a ROM of your choosing.

This will help you get back to ICS at least (half-way to GB :-0
Without more info I'm flying blind. Honestly, write a book in terms of explaining every detail possible where you're at - there's too many variables for people to guess at.

Android is named KitKat (rather
than the rumored "Key Lime
Pie ") aka version 4.4. The exec
shared this geeky nugget on

Android developer site with a
page chronicling Android's
milestones so far. While details
