Yup!
(Nandroid of course, and reboot after push.)
In the Froyo release, normal Music.apk is called MusicGoogle.apk, there's also an odex in /system/app i had to get rid of. (MusicGoogle.odex)
Code:
adb remount
adb push Music.apk /system/app/MusicGoogle.apk
That will replace the default, you can also push to Music.apk if you want to keep it. If you DO replace it, you have to remove the odex file, i used root explorer but you can do it via adb or term i guess. =P
Android Commander...my choice of UI
wow this app is sick!! great update it would would be great if you can mock the gingerbread music app
I really love this mod. Simple and elegant. I am having an issue with with fast scrolling however.
When using the quick scroll tab to navigate artists, albums, etc, the displayed letter does not seem to correspond with my place in the list. Also, the letters do not seem to scroll alphabetically. They appear random. (some are capitalized, others not). Am I missing something?

I'm using 2.2 and flashed the update zip. I have the widgets now but the player still looks stock. Do I have to do the adb thing? Thanks in advanced.

Flashed via recovery onto froyo, works perfectly
Nice mod, thank you for that!
9/13/10 - Added pink keyboard as per itrackit's request.
8/27/10 - Added new dark keyboard. Working on themed swype.
I have attached two themed HTC_IME keyboards for CM6.
Blue looks great with blue, obviously, and black looks great with vanilla as well as works with blackmod splendidly.
Screenies only available from the blue build currently, please post more from whatever your build is. You can install these from a file manager.
To install just go to sdcard in a file manager such as Astro, and select the file. Then on your home screen press menu, go to settings, go to keyboards, and check the box beside HTC_IME mod.
Thanks go out to the xda team for originally making this keyboard what it is.
Can you give me the link to get that keyboard

That did it. Installed via AndroZip and working like a charm (after I enabled it in the settings/keyboard menu). Digging it. Matches the Dark Envy Theme nicely as well. I am on the 8/25 nightly BTW. Thanks for doing this!

You're welcome man. Didnt see any layin around anywhere figured other people might want one as well. I hate sense, but love the keyboard! Post a screenie.
I installed this(dark theme) on an HTC Dream, and it fixed all the force closes that I was having. The keyboard wouldnt even pop up, and it was included on CM6 RC3. Included one was broken. Thank you very much.

Is there a way to get the mms.apk from the MIUI rom working on cm6 or sense?
I dont like the stock messaging app on either aosp/sense and i hate that handcent has ads/ad bar.
While im asking, what about the vibrant mms.apk as well.
If impossible, delete this thread.

i have and they wont install. i tried using the auto-sign tool as well, which let me install, but FC'd every time.
It needs to be ported to the specific phone you're using unless you mod it to work off the original sense SMS app, similarly to how handcent SMS works.

I am interested in this too!
I collect the best images from all frameworks I've ever used.
Most of the icons and images are from Xperia Arc theme.
I've also changed the color of the Settings from white to black.
(On Hermes the color of Settings is black, so only replace
"framework-res.apk" and "SystemUI.apk". Also some of
the stuff are used on Hermes.)
Here is what you need to do:
1. Backup your original "framework-res.apk", "SystemUI.apk",
"Settings.apk", "AccountAndSyncSettings.apk" and "Phone.apk"
by Root Explorer or whatever you use in case you want to go back
to the original ones
2. Download the files I've attached and extract them.
3. Copy the extracted files to your SD card.
4. Move theme from SD card to the system.
5. Set their permission like the last attached picture.
6. Move "AccountAndSyncSettings.apk", "Phone.apk", "Settings.apk"
and "SystemUI.apk" to system/app.
7. Move "framework-res.apk" to system/framework.
8. Reboot Your Tab.
*On RC1 if you just want to turn the color of Settings to black, do these
steps only for "AccountAndSyncSettings.apk", "Phone.apk" and "Settings.apk".*
That's it, I hope you like it, if you do just hit the thanks button.
seems to be an interesting theme but not very impressive. as you know after one being on MIUI, rest everything looks so so.. what i say is, instead of backing up all those files if things go wrong, why don't we do a cwm backup and restore if things r not working?
did you manage to get timescape working?
thanks for the hard work and keep going. appreciated

Sure you can backup the files with cwm, I just wanted to say backup your files,
it's doesn't matter in which way.
I don't know about timescape because i haven't tried it.

I agree that the launcher launcher like that Apple device but the rom in general is one of the best imho.

I changed the color of the overscroll glow from orange to white, it looks better
on black pages but you are not able to see the color on white pages, so if you
to have different color just tell me to make another one and if you want to change
it yourselves there are two picture in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi with
the names "overscroll_edge.png" and "overscroll_glow.png".
looking very good
what does the Phone.apk do exactly ?
cuz nothing changes ?

When you replace "Settings.apk" your "Call Settings" and "Account and Sync" are
still white. So if you want to make them black you need to replace "phone.apk"
and "AccountAndSyncSettings.apk" as well.

You'r welcome.
Thanks for the report.
Well one of the things I hate most is the ugly white in the MMS.apk..Of all the silly options like weather in pulldown etc thats included in CM9/AOKP I was hoping we could at least get a black background option but I guess its more important to see what temp it is outside or to toggle your swagger on/off.
So if you're tired of the ugly white MMS.apk thats clearly neglected then I have the mod for you. This is a transparent modded MMS.apk that is build off travp624's new Mms.apk which combines the best of cm9 and AOKP.
I hope you enjoy this..Just flash the zip in recovery or manually push the apk.
Thanks Section
killabyte at Rootzwiki for his guide because without it I wouldn't have been able to do it.
travp624 at rootzwiki for his new MMS base to use..He did a great job of combinging the best options of cm9 and AOKP.

My skill hasnt quite reached that level but I would hopefully love to make black/trans background as options in settings.
sounds great I´m waiting
Thank u!
Sweet! You are the man.
Unfortunately, I'm on a Skyrocket and the most recent AOKP build at the moment is b37. Figured I would try it anyways and neither pushing it manually or flashing the zip would work. I'm guessing there will be an update for my ROM here very shortly and I will try again.
btw, do you happen to know why it is that no one seems to be able to make the dialer or contacts transparent on CM9/AOKP? I've been trying to figure out how do to this for awhile and it seems like the only mention of this that I come across is in your Mixer ICS thread about how it's not possible yet. Do you happen to know what the issue is by any chance?
Okay, I'm on a b38 build of AOKP and this app is still refusing to install. Any ideas why that might be?
This is the ROM I'm currently on:

Awesome mod, works great on todays cm9 build.
Thanks

Hey, nice job.
I just tried to instal/push, but it gets black background, instead of nice themed.
But I need to ask if you can modify that app, to enable inserting new lines in an SMS?

It is now an option in the settings menu for the app in CM9. It's under "soft keyboard type."
I made an hdpi version of this based on the new CM9 Mms.apk but I'll wait until MrDSL gives the okay to post it or let him post it.
Is this compatible for DXLP9? because i install it thru root explorer and my stock sms is gone.

next version will have that option back..hopefully tonight.
Great Work !
Maybe possible some variants like 20% transparent only or stock line partitions instead of bubbles but in subtle dark form (grey-blue ics style) ...
Would love to have those ... even if it means donating
Another edit I recommend is to move the bubble arrow (pointing to the avatar) from bottom to top ... reason being for large messages or bubbles the arrow move down (away from avatar) and doesnt really give that feel ... if on top, they will always point to the avatar irrespective of message size !!
thanks MrDSL for this messaging transparent. i have been use your mixer theme too, downloaded it from playstore... nice theme also.! :good:
