[Q] Does anybody have the mytouch 4g swype apk?

I really like how swype looks on the mytouch 4g and I was wondering if anybody had the apk? can someone pm me the link. thanks in advance.

Mien is messed up, and I want to reinstall it. The respond for my touches are not accurate. I rather install a new one, than to factory restore my device. Too much junk to reinstall.
Does anybody have an APK file for it?? Thanks for the help!!

There is a much better one in the themes and apps section. HTC ime or something. If I can find the link ill provide it. If u want it. My gf hated the stock swipe that came with it. So did I.

This is not swype. But u should check it out. Only have my phone so had to copy link by hand. Just download it put it on your sdcard. Make sure allow non market apps or whatever is checked in settings>applications. Top option. Then install it with a file manager ie. Linda file manager. If u like the look. Its really good in our opinion. Let me know if link does not work.

Well I tried the HTC_IME mod by "jonasl" and it works perfectly.
No need to uninstall the original keyboard, just download the file below (this is apk from the zip for high resolution Froyo devices), enable IME in keyboard settings, then again in Input Methods and now you have tons of customization options. Also, be sure to install to phone memory, not the SD card.

Since the IME for the Nexus works on the MT4G, I'm assuming the Skin generator also will work! I haven't tested it yet, but will shortly.

Thank You Folks. But I really like the stock SWYPE, if there are no available APKs, I'll just reformat my device. I just don't want to do that, because then I would need to reinstall close to 70 different sorts of apps and other customizations. I don't want to restore my device to factory, but if that is the only way to get the stock SWYPE back, I guess I'll have to. I really like the SWYPE; I find it easier to enter text in, than using the regular keyboard.

I have it back, but next time, I don't want to do this again. I'm still reinstalling all kinds of software and tweaks I had. There has to be another way to JUST reload the SWYPE.

instead of just the swype.apk -i think you can you can get from beta.swype.com-

Every app is free. You can choose the apps you need through aroma installer when you flash.

I'm using the desktop version right now on my laptop. The images are small and they can't be clicked on to make them bigger, which is how people normally do it.

I'm terribly sorry about that. The calibration I've given is for my Desire Z. Would someone be interested in obtaining the calibration data for your HTC Desire S?
Replace the aroma-config in this directory /META-INF/com/google/android/aroma-config with the file i've attached.
When you flash the pack with this file you will be prompted to calibrate your touchscreen. Please follow the instructions. After that you will get a result which will look like this

[How-To] Remove HTCLinkify to open YouTube links with YouTube app, etc.

This should work for all HTC phones with HTClinkifyDispatcher.apk (so basically all HTC phones on ICS and a few on GB with most sense-based ROMs) if opening a YouTube link in the browser doesn't give you the option to open it in the native YouTube app, you have HTCLinkifyDispatcher on your phone. This also applies to Play Store links, Maps addresses, and possibly Contact data and phone numbers.
You're going to have to be rooted to do this.
Some custom ROM's already have this removed.
1. First use root explorer or another root browser app to find and delete HTClinkifydispatcher.apk. This can be found in /system/app
2. Download and install a build.prop editor (such as THIS app) from the Play Store. Alternatively, you can just use a root-enabled file browser to edit it in /system
3. Find the line that says "ro.da1.enable". Click on it and change from "true" to "false"
4. Reboot to recovery and clear your cache and wipe dalvik
5. Reboot system and enjoy!
Make sure to delete the .apk or it might not work! (Thanks, 865DETH!)
This guide is based on the findings of iconeo and steal25, so credits to them

I did everything in the post step by step and my phone works fine, but theres one problem, everytime i try to open a link it says theres no app to do that. like in the google search app it says "No app found to open URL" even though i do have the browsers etc. and other apps are doing this too, HELP

Make sure to change the right line in the build.prop and clear cache and dalvik, because it should work....there isn't any reason for it not to

hmmm, not sure man. Seemed to work for everyone over in the Rezound forums, and a few other Devices :/

No worries. I'm gonna look around to see if there is an actual fix for this now.

In the 1st post you said we didn't have to remove the apk and the mod would work just modifying the build.prop but I went ahead and removed the apk, went on YouTube, emailed a video link to my Gmail, and when I clicked the link it gave me the option to open it with a browser or the app! Thanks again man!

Feedback after installing
Well just finished configuring all my settings. This is what I´ve found so far.
- As any other ROM for S-ON devices, first you need to manually flash the boot.img included on the ROM zip
- Installation in AROMA is in Japanese, however following common sense I managed to successfully installed the ROM
- When instalation finishes you also can change language (Japanese by default) following the first screens.
- I noticed my Butterfly is hotter than normal with this ROM (not sure what is causing it)
- Speed is amazing
- Loving the new quick settings!
- Front camera is working
- Testing battery life
- Beats audio is disabled for external speakers
- Now updating many apps at once temperature is getting annoying, will continue testing and report back

some news said that Zoe and Blindfeed both will come to Butterfly, but leak roms doesn't show any bits of Zoe(some speculate tat they might add it in in the end of development)... So i just wonder if this has any sign of it?

I flashed the ROM with Aroma by guessing. It seems OK. Some observations:
- ROM doesnot includes Superuser/SuperSu, so you have to flash Supersu.zip to have root, and you will be able to restore apps by titanium backup.
- I cannot manage to use kernnel Killx, I tried several time, I cannot pass bootup. Any suggestion??
- It is rather hot running and charging.
- I dont like the new quick setting, I prefer the old style.
- Antutu score is 17483 with defaut setting no OC or UV (. because of heat so score is not so good???)
- Youtube running smoothly

[THEME][TW] Multiwindow Themes (Updated 9/16/13)

I did some multiwindow themes for the S3 which were posted over in the TN forum and decided to start some for the S4.
**Warning...these have not been properly tested on the newer MK2 custom roms and may cause force close of MW. I will test whenever I have time to do so. Otherwise, if you flash and want to post feedback on what works and what doesn't to help out others than please do so.**
As always make sure you have a backup before flashing. The user takes full responsibility for anything that may happen to his/her device.
**If anyone wants to incorporate these into your theme/rom package you may do so. Just please give credit w/link to this thread and shoot me a heads up on where theme is used. Please do not make changes to any images or post zip links.**

Easiest way is to snag the app from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.multiwindowmanager&hl=en

Just updated the OP with Spiderman MW Theme. I did this one because Spidy seemed like the most popular one back on the S3 so did a different rendition of it. Enjoy.
Sorry more have not been posted yet. Been busy at work so not a lot of time to devote to these. I will continue working on them when I can. Also, DevHost is having traffic issues so had to use Rapidshare instead. Will get it moved back as soon as DevHost gets it all worked out.

Strange. I just downloaded one without an issue via Windows Chrome browser.

Clear Glass

help
hello someone please help i have just installed the clear glass and i keep getting the com.sec.apps.flashbarservices has stopped. how do i fix i have tried wipe cache and davlik cache. i liked to use mulit-window alot and i like the mods would love for this to work. thanks
update: i just uninstalled with clean master and re-installed still same message. i would even just like the orignal one to work

Sorry but I haven't done any testing on the newer Sac's rom versions and changed the OP to reflect that. I'm not running that rom anymore and have not done any work on these in a while. All I can suggest for now is to re-flash the rom and in Aroma just select the items needed until I have a chance to test and update the files. Not sure when that will be as my time is very limited right now.
