Uot kitchen

Okay help please. In trying to theme my phone running on kh2. I figured that I need to upload all three files , framework
, twframework and systemUI.apk. How do I know cause I've been trying to fig this out for to long. Okay what I need help with is changing the icon on the pull down menu like dsexton v1. Also I can't get the bootanamation working either. What am I doing wrong.

Ok you cant use boot animations cause we dont have a kernel that supports it on GB and for uot it is the framworkres.apk and systemui.apk thats for GB, if your themeing froyo it the twframwork.apk and the frameworkres.apk.

Thanks for ur response . Does uot. Let me modify the pull down. Like changing the wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, sound, and rotation icons?

Sorry but no. that has to be done by you manually. I had to get airfluip1 to help me with that part and he is fixing up some other things to for the theme I made.

You want /system/ app/systemui.apk that is where you can change up the status bar and pull down

UOT kitchen is very basic. Only mods framework.apk, tw-framework.apk and systemui.apk. All other apps you need to mod yourself. Look into apkmanager.

Agreed, for simple icon changes (appearance) you can extract the apk, edit the icons to your desire, then push them back into the apk and push or flash it. There isn't much to it.

[MOD] ROM Tweaks Compilation

I am not responsible for any damage to your phone, marriage, sex life, etc. as a result of installing this mod.
This is just a simple compilation I put together that installs 3 ROM tweaks that I find myself always using whenever I flash a new ROM.

It has worked with every Gingerbread ROM I have used on my phone, which is all of them, except for Audiophile series, but it would work no doubt.

Nah its intended to be used via a terminal emulator while the phone is running. Original script is on XDA somewhere.

[Q]Screen off like Nexus

Hello friends.Im using Fusion V1 Rom and I would like to ask Is there any way to make my screen off animation when lock phone like Galaxy Nexus (its like when you turn TV off). Criskelo ROM was having that feauture that I really like and I wonder if there is a zip or something that I can install to make it

i dont think a seperate zip exists for crt animation here , i my self been looking around for it but found none.
so far the only way is to flash a ROM that has it , i use rocketrom v7 ,i highly recommended you try that rom.

I was with rocket v8.whats the difference between v7 and v8?

Download Screen off and lock app from G Play. You then place a shortcut on the homescreen and press it and screen goes off just like a tv... And there are way many other animations as well. Brilliant app!

install a rom which is based on cm9 then you will surely get crt off animation

you can even place the screen-off shortcut to your bottom row icons so that it shows on every screen

You need to decompile your framework-res.apk and change bools.xml. Then recompile it back and replace the old one. There's a thread on that, not that easy, but just follow the instructions, and you'll be fine.

Rom toolbox issue

I was using the rom toolbox and changing some things and now I have no status bar and my theme is all jacked up, can anyone help with this issue?

What did you change?? Please trace back your steps on what you did?
Didn't you create a backup, so you can restore It?

First I installed a boot animation and it worked then I installed a battery icon and that is when it went crazy on me and it say I didn't back it up

What ROM/kernel are you on?
You should Always back up your stuff before flashing away.

Yeah I usually do but I thought because it was so small it would have done much. But I'm on sky 4.3 and kernel 3.0.8

Thats your problem right there. I don't think its safe to flash anything on that rom besides boot animations.
On the SkyICE post theres a crysis battery mod signal thing. Did you not like that?

Happened to me once with Sky, after installing the Crysis battery mod. Wipe and re-flash, and make sure to only use a battery mod from the linked files in Sky's OP. Also, please use the Q&A section for questions, not General.

Yeah not all battery mods work on all roms. Found that out the hard way when I tried to flash a battery mod from SKY in CM9. Lost status bar and had to wipe and re-install ROM.

Sky Ics is pretty much a locked down ROM you can't make any mods on that ROM unless already shown working in the OP

You changed part of your framework or ui, probably an icon. Those icons were designed for cm7 and are not compatible with ICS or jb roms.
If you took rom toolbox's suggestion and backed up your framework, just restore it. Otherwise reflash your rom (no wipe - it'll just replace missing files). Depending on your rom, you may need to redo any other changes you made.
If you have a nandroid backup, that'll work too. Always do a nandroid b/u before playing with rom toolbox settings.
