Help with custom boot animation - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I finished making my first boot animation and am getting the black screen. I tried the various fixes in other posts and made sure i didnt do any of the common mistakes. Can someone help me? This is for cleanrom 4.1, boot animation attached below.

Can you help me I have CleanRoms as well and have tried replacing the Vigor one with mine. I named it Vigor_VZW_bootanimation like them but mine doesn't work it just gives me a black screen as well and nothing else. I renamed both the old Vigor one to .old and the hTC_bootanimation to .old as well. Please tell me what you did to get yours to work thanks!

You have to name it as "boot.zip" and put it in /resources/customization (sorry if I spelt that wrong). If it still shows a black screen just give me your boot animation.

[DEV Questions] Modify/remove splash screens

Hi all,
Today I have had a bit of a nightmare with changing the splash screen(s). I'm trying to create a totally generic version of this firmware, which removes all of the T-Mobile branding; including those annoying 'Exclusive to T-Mobile' splash screens. I say screens, as it seems there are two of them, one loaded immediately and the other loaded from the kernel immediately afterwards.
I understand that the first one to load (bios as such) is located in /mnt/.lfs/logo.jpg. I cannot alter or edit that directory without a modified param.lfs, I am told.
I recently tried the param.lfs from the Vibrant build, and it flashed successfully, but still wouldn't allow me to write over the logo (operation not permitted). Can this image be changed directly in param.lfs? I have extracted the images from param.lfs, but cannot find a way to rebuild it. Also... replacing the param.lfs with one from a stock vibrant doesn't appear to change the splash screen. Wtf?
Also, even if I do overwrite the image, will the SBL push another one over the top? I'm getting mixed opinions on this...
The second image is located in the kernel source, I understand. I'm aware of how to compile a kernel so that isn't the issue.
Does anyone know the name of the image to locate in the source?
EDIT - think I found it in: ../drivers/video/samsung/logo_rgb24_wvga_portrait.h
My brain isn't working correctly today, and I have wasted a lot of time on this already. If someone out there knows the answer it'd save me a lot more time!
Thanks in advance.

Yupe..that would be the file and there's an app to build that for you. All you need is creating 480x800 24bit RGB image and save it as C header, then use that app to rebuild logo_rgb24_wvga_portrait.h for you.

or, use/compile a kernel with bootanimation.zip support

[BootAnimation] Modern Warfare 3 Teaser - Fanboys Welcome

This may not be the best looking boot animation, as it's just a combination from the teaser trailer on YouTube.
It's looped and will just replay. This is my first boot animation....first of anything in this sorts. Going to do a complete overhaul this week of it, so please refrain from flaming this noob . In Xbox terms...I'm a scrub
Here is the video I made of it as a preview:
Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?oudaa6nmcjbaloy (15MB) I know...it's HUGE.
Instructions:
-Backup current bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak
-Download and copy the MW3 boot animation and paste it to system/media and change permissions
-Reboot
Another GREAT boot animation, but for the wildfire can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1006336 It's sick.
**Splash screen was made by Tribalartgod and can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059520

You know, I wondered the same thing but my boot up time is longer when USB is plugged in, which was the case in the video.
When its unplugged, its quicker.
Looks good! Great work.

Nah, seriously tho... Not sure if this will help you, because I haven't tested it on an Inspire yet... But on the G1, Boot animations could have JPG files OR PNG files for animations. You may want to try and use JPG files just to see. If the Inspire will render them properly, it will cut the size of your animation by 2/3's at least.

Boot animation

I am looking to get a bootanimation of the New Orleans Saints pregame chant. I have a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALu0J1QRnJo&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I requested this in another forum, but I suppose the OP got busy, so I'm wondering if anyone can put this together for me. I greatly appreciate it.

I don't normally care for boot animations, but this one looks like it would be cool. Being from the southshore and transplanted to the northshore, I have grown up with the Saints in my life and wouldn't mind watching this when I restart the phone.
I do have a question though, I am running a different ROM/kernel and wondering if that will cause an issue if I try to download the link and flash the file?
Current ROM: AOKP build 28
Kernel: Mason v0.14
Also, thanks for taking the time to make an animation that is close to me and the OP.
I recently switched roms and thought that I had saved the boot animation, but as it turns out I must have deleted it because I can't seem to find it anywhere.

What version of the new CM10 bootanim works with the One X?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogp9f4_yEoU&feature=player_embedded
The CM G+ page shared this video recently, and the description includes download links to the bootscreen. It wasn't too clear which I should use for my One X, so I picked the Vertical 720 bootanimation.zip. I installed it and when I rebooted, no bootscreen came up. It just sat there with a black screen after getting past the HTC screen. I restored the CM9 bootanimation.zip with ADB and am now not sure which CM10 zip will work with this phone.
Edit: Got it. Needed to use the Vertical 800 zip.
According to some of the jelly bean roms, CM10 boot animation doesn't exist yet. check the CM10 and AOKP builds in the orig dev forum to confirm. If one does exist, than I'm guessing it's not one x compatible yet. Just be patient! It shall come I'm sure.
So I created a really nice boot animation (from artwork created by mrdiv on tumblr) and I've done everything I can think of to get it to work, but it never displays.
What bit-depths, etc are allowed for the PNG /JPG images in the boot animation? I used the CM9 as a template and still got nothing.
edit: even used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1234611 and got nothing.
fwiw I've tested on Sense and CM10 ROMs, no-go.
