hey there, I just installed [ROM] CM7-APOCALYPSE-FINAL [09.07.12] [FireKernel OC] and finished everything but then I got a problem with the messaging apps.
There's no messaging app in the apps drawer, and when I clicked the one on the home screen it says ".could not launch the requested activity"
I'm sorry for posting here but I can't post on the original thread due to post amount restriction. Thanks a lot for your help
P.S. this is the original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1700749
It happen to me too, I made this. Go to Google Store and download a free app called. ICS Messaging created by AppTechBuzz it works perfectly I removed the ads using Lucky patcher. Good luck bro.

Has anyone found a way to sort apps in GR-11?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056542
I didn't see anything addressing app sorting in the link that you posted?
Search for Touchwiz AppSorter in the market. If it says database error after you run it, just clear the TouchWiz data (gonna reset your launcher though) Drove me nuts for about 20 minutes till I figured it out lol!

I got the database error with that app. I cleared the data, it didn't fully sort the apps. It left the original first page of apps, then sorted the subsequent pages.
Is there a way to not only sort ALL apps, but to make it re-sort when you install a new app without losing you 7 screens?
Also, has anyone figured out how to choose your home screen? I only want 3 screens, but I want screen 2 to be "home" not 3.

Use a different launcher until it's fixed? GR is still in beta. And until it's out of beta expect there to be bugs.

He linked you to that thread because that's where your question should've been asked instead of making a new thread.
Go to Settings> Applications> Manage Applications>All>TwLauncher>Force Stop then Clear Data...but it will reset your home screen...you'll have to customize it again...

I just swapped over to Launcher Pro.....everything is sorted nicely now!
I went with ADW free. Works great so far. Loving GR-11.

Go Launcher EX sorts it well.
Launcher pro for the win..

The TouchWiz app sorter from the market has recently been updated to support TouchWiz 4.0. Therefore you can now use it on your GR-12 ROM without getting that database error .
Hi everybody, I was wondering if anybody could explain me why Sound search for google play installed already as a system app in the Liquid smooth rom every time that i reboot my infuse I have to use titanium backup in order to defrost it! there is any way to defrost it for ever? Many thanks to all of you XDA the best!
I'm not sure what it is. It's for Google Play? If you mean Google Now, you need to freeze browser (the Netscape-looking globe), Google search... I'm not a fan of GN either!

Hi, I'm a noob and have searched the forum before creating this topic. Hope there are no duplicates.
So I was downloading the camera app for my nexus 7 by modaco and it appeared on my home screen. However, there was this kobo books app which appeared too. I did not download it. It just appeared. It was not listed in my apps drawer though. It just appeared on my home screen which I then removed from. When I when to settings>apps, it was not there too. Let me reiterate that I didn't download the app and it appeared on my home screen only and then disappeared after I removed it from the screen. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it seems like my uncle had this problem too. Is it part of some ads posted by other downloaded ad supported apps? Cause this is weird and I hope it isn't a virus or something. I had just uninstalled the camera app by doodle apps and installed the one by modaco. Is it because of the doodle apps camera app? Cause it floods me with lots of ads. This problem is weird I know. But answers would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Noob android fanatic.

Thanks for the useless reply.
Found a better solution though: xposed gel settings from the play store.

Hey guys be nice together.. I understand everyone has their different opinions.. If you don't like the update you can unistall Google app it is system app..
If you have root download system app remover > grant access > unistall Google.. You can find older version on Internet just Google it.. If you want to install previous version..

understood, and you're right - so perhaps I across a bit harsh on my initial reply, so I apologize to bigv5150 for that.
however, my point was that I really enjoy the google search launcher, just don't like the latest update with the all white search bar nor the all white app drawer - and just wanted to share that with others and see if there was a way to make them transparent again. fortunately, I found the solution in the Xposed GEL app - which of course, requires the Xposed module installed, which also requires root.
after installing the xposed gel app, I was able to remove the search bar all together and change the app drawer background color scheme.

You can uninstall the update putting it back to the version you had before the update. That's what I did. You keep the previou search bar. That's what I said, don't read more into it.
