Google started the first Android 4.1.1 updates for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Android 4.1.1 is Googles latest version of Android. Android 4.1.1 use codename Jelly Bean.
Because of Apple Google had to change some things in their Android 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy Nexus.
Google will also update the Nexus S later this month.
What is android 4.1.1?
Android 4.1.1 aka Jelly Bean is faster and smoother than previous Android versions. Additionally, the notifications are now expandable, comes with improved search and Google Now support.
Samsung still need to post their own statement about Android 4.1.
We think that Samsung will update the Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note and Galaxy SIII for the Galaxy tablets we put our hope on the Galaxy Tab 7.7.*

[Q] samsung S3 GT-I9300 - jelly bean & ROM

Hello All,
this is my first thread in the forum and i also new with android
I've just got my new Samsung S3 device (GT-I9300) and i rooted it successfully using one of yours wonderful guides.
my current android OS is ICS 4.04 and i would like to update it to jelly bean.
I've heard that the most "clean" ROM belongs to Google and called "Vanilla" - is it right?
if so, where i can find jelly bean with that ROM? i've found jelly bean with "vanilla root box" ROM and i guess
that is not the same as Google.
Thank you so much for your help.
Assaf.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos to get Android 4.2.2 soon

Curiously, many high end handsets are yet to get the latest Android version
Samsung is all set to roll out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version for its mid-range Galaxy Grand Duos, according to a report of SamMobile.
It is to be remembered that Android 4.2.2 is the latest version of Android operating system and many high end phones are yet to get the version.
Meanwhile, SamMobile has claimed to have received an official test ROM based on Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Grand Duos. Now if there is a test ROM, there will obviously be a final one which will be pushed as update. However, the report does not talk about any deadline.
The Android 4.2.2 update is also likely to be released for Galaxy S III, Note II and a couple of Samsung's tablets. Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082 features a 5 inch TFT LCD WVGA (480×800) resolution display, a 8 megapixel camera and a 1.2 GHz processor.
With the new update there will be new features like transparent notification bar, Smart Stay, Light effect by unlocking, Page Buddy and Day dream.
SamMobile says that the device itself feels pretty fast compared with Android 4.1.2 and the battery life seems to be improved. There is no new feature in the update for the camera though, the report further claimed.

[Completed] What is my Bootloader Version for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110 (Details Below)

Hi! I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110, it had an Ice Cream Sandwich Android Version in it originally and I updated it to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean from the Software Update in the About Device. Now my question is, do I now have the Jelly Bean Bootloader or am I still using the Ice Cream Sandwich Bootloader? Because I have found out that if you are using an Ice Cream Sandwich Bootloader and you want to flash a Jelly Bean Custom ROM or Kitkat ROMs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, it creates graphical glitches and malfunctions to the device. The links of the two threads that I read this about is in

I'm also Rooted and currently using Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and I am not using a Custom ROM, I just updated my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 then rooted it.
