Im getting the same when thing whenever i try to download sk4g roms
There is most definitely something going on. Every single ROM I've tried to download for my Sidekick 4G has directed me to that stupid petition. I've tried on my phone, my personal laptop, and my work laptop. Same thing. Here are links to some of the ROMs I was looking at.

By "apk" you mean a version other than the market version?

ive seen that some people claim the app "shoot me" worked for them on a non rooted phone but I personally cant confirm i'm rooted. but the app is free in the market. try it out

Shoot me works but it is a pain IMO. You can still get a screenshot from the SDK if you truly don't want to root. Any reason why you are not rooting?
Gingerbread has this feature built in. No need for any additional apps. Hold PWR and the Home button. You'll get a notification stating "screenshot saved to Camera shots". It saves it directly to the DCIM folder on your SD Card

I use no root screenshot from the market. It can be a pain however works fine on 2.3.3 stock Rom no root

Well I'm running vu 1.29 which is 2.3.3 and it has this functionality. The ota was 2.3.3 so I'd assume everyone should have it. Don't know why you'd be running an outdated version

Well HTC, in the update, removed this feature. Just like the crt animation, edge glow, etc...

Download, extract the zip, open the folder, and there ya go. Don't flash this, you'll just waste your time because it wont flash.

Because it hasn't been optimized for the one S already. Like the gameloft games in the beginning. Cm let's the playstore think you have a nexus device, that's the reason why you can just update Google now via playstore on cm.
EDIT: well the last sentence could be wrong, but its aosp, so.... Anyways it hasn't been optimized for the hos. You can change some lines in the build prob so that it is a Samsung device like the galaxy note or the nexus.

To make this game work with certain ROMS, change your build.prop to:
ro.product.model=SGH-T999
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=d2tmo
ro.product.device=d2tmo
Change everything to exactly what is above, and you will be able to download and play the game. Ensure that "samsung" does NOT capitalize before saving.

But I already bought the game on my previous phone, damn it. I want play it official on One S, do you think they will optimize it like, ever?
Also some other games I bought that do not work on One S: That Lara Croft game, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Galaxy on Fire 2....
When I was buying this device I thought everything would play on it, damn it.
Mod edit: Doing this is considered piracy, as you're basically getting a free version of something you should be paying for, unless you have a specific device.

Actually the zip is making a link to the promo.... You can't reverse because it's a promo. It's adding space to your account, not your app... So you should not have problem

I tried it. Deleted cache data etc. Un installed, flashed and restored just the app using titanium not through store. I didn't get it. Will try from market again

You make a mistake... You need to go with the file explorer in the .zip then go in /system/app in the zip and install the two APK that are there!
This will get removed from your account. The Dropbox team always catches this. Also, you're breaking site rules by uploading/link to the APK. I'm guessing you're using the Galaxy S3/Note 2 promotional Dropbox APK.
