i been flashing different radios and dont remember what version does clean rom 4.1 has??

Doesn't come with one. I don't believe any of our current ROMS package one with them.
Sent from my HTC One X

Correct. None of the roms include radios.

I flashed the radio leedroid said to... It really screwed up my speeds... How would I go about downloading and installing art updated radio?
Go to my thread in development, it has instructions and a download that includes radio and RIL files for the Inspire.

Same happened to me! I think that recommended radio does not works very good with AT&T USA. Except for that, Excellent Rom! Very happy
PD - Incredible battery management
So... ACE ROM or LeeDroid...

What version are you using? 3.0.2 / 26.09.04.11_M2 is very good all around, I have had no issues at all....I am actually flashing back to it, because 3.0.3 isn't working very well in comparison ...At least for us Americans anyway

[ROGERS] I finally decided to install TWRP and the CM9 alpha

Do i just unlock my bootloader, then fastboot install recovery and start installing custom roms?
Or do i need to change my CID, update to the latest ATT RUU (1.85?) then unlock the bootloader again, then install a recovery and rom?
i'm still on stock Rogers 1.73
The first one.
awesome
so people were only updating to 1.85 becuase there weren't any custom roms yet right?
when custom roms came at first we had to update to whatever base the rom was using.
Now we can install kernels along with the roms so there's no need to do that anymore

So we need to install the roms, along with a kernel update.zip?
Or does it all come packaged like it does for other phones.

Difference in radios? Can someone answer a quick question!

Hey guys, I just loaded CleanROM 4.5 RC1 and loving it so far. I noticed my baseband version if 2.23.707 now....where before it was 1.85. That's the radio right? What's the difference? I assume 2.23 is better? is their even a newer one still or is that the best?
I'm pretty good with this ROM flashing stuff, but don't quite get radios and the differences. Anybody care to help a newb?
2.23.707
2.23 is the HTC ROM version.
The ROM is a combination of drivers, firmware, applications and the operating system itself.
2.23 includes:
Radio - 0.19as.32.09.09_L_10.104b.32.25L
hboot - 1.14
kernel - 3.0.8-01564
Android - 4.0.4
Newer firmware for adsp, wifi and a whole heap of applications etc.
The HTC ROM version doesn't mean much device to device. Eg a One XL versus a One S.
The 707 is the region. 707 in this case is for Singtel Singapore.
502 would mean AT&T USA
841 Telstra Australia
708 Hong Kong (not carrier branded)
631 Rogers Canada
etc.
For the version they tend to relate across all regions. But mean more when following for just that region.
2.23.707 was intended for Singtel Singapore which previously had 1.88.707.
1.89.841(Telstra) may or may not be an newer or an improvement over 1.88.707.
This thread has a list of radios that were released with certain ROMs.

I'm surprised he's included a radio with his ROM> Not many devs do that, as people have their own preference.

Find your original one from HERE and flash it
Your mistaken I think your build number probably changed from 185 to 223 your radio is the baseband line and 223 radio starts as 19as and is not included directly in the rom but is available in another post of scotts

There is no such thing as a 2.23 baseband. You need to go back and look at the info again. You are confuising baseband with build number.
2.23 is the software build and release keys. The baseband would be .19 or .18 or something like that.
There is no radio in my ROM. I would never do that. Thats reckless. And if I did do it it would be noted in the op.
Baseband is a lot differnt than softeware build number, lol

Mhm there's the man to clarify the issue himself
And oops the radio thread was someone else! Stock firmwares thread is indeed maintained by Scott tho
If you got 2.23 from HTC it would include all parts of 2.23. Custom roms may only include hand picked portions.
Eg most custom roms only use the os, apps and kernel but not any firmware, like radio etc.

Apologies, your right, I was looking at the wrong version. 2.23 is the build version, not baseband.
Question though: my baseband version 0.17.32.09.12. After flashing CleanROM 4.5 RC1, my phone constantly switches between H and G, and in the about>phone info, it goes from HSPA to HSPAP to UMTS. This doesn't seem normal...it never did this before. SHould I flash a different radio to go with this ROM? Sorry if this is going off on more of a custom ROM tangent!

HTC One S built-in radio

I just flashed my phone with CM10 and it appears that the built in radio isn't there. Is there any extension/file that must be added to the flash? I could use TuneIn for when I have wifi, but most of the time I don't, so the built in radio was useful.
I've read a couple of threads already, but it isn't clear to me what needs to be done. Some say I should add some code, some say it's an extension and some say it's already there. Also if it's of any use, it's a S4 and I'm in Canada with Fido/Rogers.
Thanks

Download the .zip for AOSP ROMs from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998270
Then flash the zip and choose the baseband radio you want. The radios there are the most common. You should be able to flash these radios regardless of the hboot you are using if you are using a CM10 base rom. Its OK to flash these radios even if you are in Canada (im on Bell in Toronto). The key is to try them out and see which one gives you the best reception (the newest ones are likely better). Dont worry, flashing these radios wont effect the underlying radio on your phone, as SENSE based roms (ie the stock version of ROMS on HTC One S use a different radio, and that radio version you would still find if you go onto your bootloader screen). You can only change that radio by downgrading your hboot.

WiFi and mobile Internet problems

I've only used CM10 based roms but these are the problems I'm having.
- When my phone goes to deep sleep, my WiFi disconnects. Well, it doesn't really disconnect because when I unlock the phone, I see the wifi signal but it's in grey instead of blue. I don't get my notifications while it's in deep sleep.
- Also, when I switch to data (mobile internet), it doesn't work until I switch from 3G to 2G or vice versa.
Does anybody else have these problems? What can be done? Thank you.
Info: I'm on the latest available EU radio (I live in Belgium) and hboot 1.06. Rom: Jelly Bam.

Hmm I see the same sort of thing but I am still getting notifications. You could flash the JB Radio and Extra Partitions and do the same for the rom with the CM radio installer.

Where can I find these Extra Partitions? Also, I'm guessing I'm already on a JB radio because it's the latest one. 1.11 EU.
Jelly Bam doesn't come with a radio installer but Dark Jelly does (I think).
I don't think it will solve my mobile internet problems but it's a start.

I already flashed the EU 1.11 radio from the first link so I should be good as far as the radio is concerned. Are you sure the second link (the one for the extra partitions) works on Jelly Bam (CM10)?
OP says it's Sense only on the first page in the comment section.

I see.. I'll have to sit tight until someone can confirm that it's safe/it works. Thanks though.
EDIT: I checked my radio version again and it was still the old one. It's like some roms come with their own radio versions.
Reflashed the latest one and all is well for now. I'll do some more testing and report.

Don't want to risk flashing the wifi partitions on a CM10 based rom unless it's safe.
Any ideas anyone? I really need this fixed. It's not just WiFi, but data too that's wonky.

Ok thats just wrong. AOSP will only use the radio in the rom. so if ur on Jellybam just flash the AOSP radio. Thats it
If you are on a sense JellyBean 4+ rom then u can flash the Sense Radio and Wifi partitions.
Its one or the other. Not both.
The AOSP radio is which one? I always flashed the latest available one in the CM10 Aroma Installer.
