Hey guys, I am trying to unlock an old phone that won't accept a new sim. The phone is Samsung Sgh-x480. It is also known as Samsung 655. Any help would be cool.

these x-series (old phones) can be unlocked by reset setting to default
-remove sim
-restart and enter this code *2767*3855#
I unlocked by this way an old Samsung phone I can't remember what model

Unlock code and method
got some codes, and unlocked my phone. but when i flash cyanogenmod-7-2012031-nightly with the z4root method. to unlock the phone how do i get to that unlock screen and put in more codes? can this be done?

i have a verizon sumsung galaxy s3 SCH-I535 and it's network is locked i already rooted and unlocked it s bootloader but i need the code to unlock the network

If you are not the original owner, you will have to have him/her get the code. It is phone/SIM specific and needs to be activated thru Verizon Customer Care.

Can you please expand on what you need? Maybe I am too new and don't understand, but what is a network unlock code, why do you need it, and what is your phone status? Will it boot? Can you get into recovery or download mode?

I have a t mobile note 2 sgh-t889
it is rooted and a custom rom
I went to change the rom and by mistake I flashed it with a at&t rom
So I re flashed it with the right rom and now under settings there is no
baseband version says unknown and the imei is also unknown
is there any way to fix it ? I also have a working note 2 sgh-t889
I tryed to back that up and use it to fix the broken one but had no luck

While I was travelling, I used another sim card in this phone, it worked for two days but then suddenly it prompted me for a lock code.. I left it over to my hotel room and my friend was playing around with it. he entered 10 times incorrect code. Now the phone is locked completely and i cant use any SIM. The phone itself it working only the network is locked it...

I have never come across this situation before. Now if you put a different SIM in it does it give an unlock prompt at all?

it does not accept any sim..Whenever i change a sim it says permanently locked.

I think you should take it to the carrier or a shop. They may have tools to fix that. You can also try using the kdz updater to initialize the office but not sure if it would work.

I've seen this on another LG phone. It was on ATT. All my friend had to do was call the carrier and they unlocked it. Don't know it that will help, but good luck!

Hi everybody, i looked up the topic about unlocking the verizon galaxy s3, but when i dialed *#197328640# on my phone dial pad, it does not work. It does not show up, nothing happen. I tried to press some anther code like *#06#, but still not working. I've tried to restore it to factory setting, but still not working. I have 3 galaxy s3 and they have the same problem. So have anybody deal with it before and give me solution for that i really appreciated. Thanks!

i already got a solution for that. On dial pad press *#22745927 and enable. after that, it should work.
Still don't work for me after using the 2nd code :/

I dont know if you guys are trying to unlock for GSm or CDMA, but its fatory unlocked for GSm if you are on the latest update
