what do i have to do? can i use two service providers at the same time? can i use tmobile for voice and sprint for data? can i use tmobiles aws 3g band? has anybody done this? do i need to use my turbo sim?
I have heard reports that the GSM in the US doesn't work. Also, the FCC filings state there is a lock to prevent this from happening. I really hope someone can find a crack soon so I can use the Sprint TP2 on ATT.
However, I have heard some people getting the Telus version unlocked to work on GSM.
i'm interested in this as well - i've got a work cell that's got a tmo sim and would love to be able to pop the tmo sim in my tp2 and be able to select somehow which phone #/network the phone call comes from

Well, you can already select GSM, CDMA, or Auto on the phone. The only problem is to unlock the firmware so US GSM sim cards will work. Hoping Olipro or cmonex have something up their sleeves.
Hi i got to know. It is possible to unlock a gsm phone(a gsm phone is a phone that has sim card right??). Well it is possible to unlock a phone that use sim card to use it on a company that doesn't need sim card?
First: A phone with a simcard is still a (mobile) phone!
And second: Unlocking a phone is possible: Just search the forum's or internet...
No, that is not possible. You can't unlock an AT&T or T-mobile phone (GSM) for use on Verizon or Sprint (CDMA).
Hi All,
Please excuse me if this is a dumb question. I am moving over from Sprint to Verizon and travel to India a lot. I know and believe I will have no problem roaming over in India on CDMA, as I do so often on Sprint and Verizon's website shows CDMA coverage as well. What I would like to know and double check myself on is being able to switch SIM cards. I understand the GS3 on Verizon has a SIM card in it... is it possible to pickup a local sim card in India and put it in my phone to use local service?
From my understanding at the moment, if I want to do this, I need to follow this thread and steps...

Is it possible to have Verizon give me an unlock code to be able to use a different local SIM in India? Any help would be grateful.

Can a Sprint Galaxy S5 work on the T-Mobile GSM network?
I assume it would require rooting and then change the network band and ADN settings. It has SIM card slot and MicroSD slot.
I searched and did not find this question posted. Thanks in advance.

Probably not...The phone is most likely locked only to Sprint unless they unlock it for you but I doubt they will do it and I heard they only do it for International which is sometimes rare and you have to be with Sprint for a set amount of time.
Thanks. I saw in the forum that Sprint could unlock them, but I did see that there is no other option.
So, my first question, is a Verizon HTC one m8 unlocked already?
Second, is there a way to use a TracFone sim card in it?
And last, would I have to change APN settings?
UPDATE
For anyone who wanted to know you can use a TracFone sim in thephone but it needs to be a LTE card.
