Best case and Screen protector - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whats the best case and Screen protector for the Optimus One P500h?
For a case I want as low profile as possible.

I have silicon case and screen protector from some poland company bluestar.pl and im satisfied with this Together in Czech Rebublic it's about 3$

I'm using leather case and matte screen protector. I can say that the matte screen protector is the best protector for optimus one. Especially, in terms of sensibility, it's really good.

I have been very happy with my otter case and included screen protector for over a year now. Gives it a little thickness, but is the right mix of hard and soft to protect it

[Q] Which Cases Work With Protectors

My painstakingly applied Skinomi protector (front) was horrendously mangled by my Diztronic case. I'm looking for a case that could work with a replacement. Any recommendations?
If you plan on using cases unfortunately you need to get case fit protectors. Best skins ever just came out with case fit protectors. The back doesn't need any kind of accommodation, and I have a bse skin there too. I feel they are less rubbery than the skinomi. I love the dry protectors from skinomi but for me the feel of the bse wet protectors feels best. XO skins makes a case fit protector as well but if feels rubbery to me like skinomi. They have excellent customer service and make a quality product, I just like the feel of bse better.

Matte Wet Application Screen Protector?

Has anyone seen or heard of a wet application Screen protector that covers the entirety of the front screen, but also has the matte/anti-glare finish on it?

You're gonna have a hard time finding that. I'd say go the dry application route, and pair the screen protector with a case. It'll do a good job of covering the edges.
Thanks, that's sort of what I expected to hear. I wonder what's preventing them from being made. I know I sure would love a matte feel all the way to the edge of that curved glass

the only matte wet protector i saw was one that offers a matte back but the front is still clear

The same thing as why we only have 2 types of bumpers available: OEM or Poetic.
Fosmon is crap
I too had been looking for a matte protector, and got one; had one on my iphone 4, but they have been really bad with the proximity sensor. I had to cut out a piece, and it looks like crap. I got the Fosmon one from amazon.
I'm pretty sure bestskinsever offers one

Your best bet is to stick with dry app screen protectors. The top ones I can come up with are SGP or Martin Fields. They aren't cheap at all, but I've been through cheap ebay ones enough and got tired of the texture and the clarity issue.
SGP won't cover the entire screen. It will leave some corners vulnerable but I have a diztronic case with sort of "lips" over the edges to cover most if not all the exposed areas. I think Martin Field's may cover more than the SGP, but not completely.
The older "Military Grade" of Invisible shield would be closer to sort of a matte finish. They still sell it on the website ( zagg.com ) at cheaper than their newer HD version which is their glass-like version of the screen at the same thinness. The older version also has sort of a rubberish feel to the surface, but it doesn't have that glossy/glass glare like the newer HD version.

I use the Zagg Invisishield HD and it is awesome. Best one I have ever owned.
That thread has some really good glass protectors. If you don't want to spend too much go with a zagg. I have the HD one and it works well

That thread lists the glass screen protector, which usually commands a premium price.
I just use the Spigen traditional screen protector. Got it for $13 at a local store when I bought my Neo Hybrid case. For what the OP describes, I think it fits the bill because it's not the "rubbery" material (usually from wet apply kits), it's the harder clear plastic. Clear and doesn't interfere with touch sensitivity.
IMO, $13 is still too much for a traditional plastic screen protector, but I'm satisfied with what it does. I haven't tried Glass type yet, so can't comment or compare.

Spigen vs MIME glass screen protectors

Is there a difference between the two, besides price? Also I'm new to this glass screen protector stuff, the thicker the glass the better the protection? I'm getting a Trident Aegis case and I'm not sure if the .2mm-ish would fit or if I would have to get the .15mm one.
Mine has better customer service and I really like the anti dust film they provide compared to an alcohol swab from spigen.
I have a spigen glas.tr and fell it was worth the $30. Its smooth and slick which does not effect any sensitivity. Cutouts are perfect and I would recommend to get a aluminum button. Mime got it far $2.50 or spigen got it in a 3 pack for $10

Mime has amazing service. You have any problems with the product, they'll send yu a replacement for free, no questions asked.
In the future, your screen gets scratched up or broken, they'll send you a replacement with 40% off coupon.
This coming from personal experience with their customer service.
Spigen has good products, but customer service can be slow at times..again from personal experience.
In terms of the glass protector, they're similar except a few dimension and style difference. They're both great.
Hope it helps!
I had the Spigen Glas.tR on my HTC One and it was awesome. Planning on ordering Spigens new Glas.t Nano Slim for the GS4 and getting it in time for the weekend. The new Glas.t Nano Slim is .15mm compared to MIME's v2.0 at .32mm.
I like mime and their customer service

Glas t slim is really thin and its easy to install. I really like it.
The most difficult part of the install is finding a dust-free room. This is almost true with every type/brand of screen protection.
Alignment is the key because its so thin as soon as you lay on the glass surface, it almost installs itself. Good luck.
anyone fond of invisible shield extreme?
MIME FTW!!

Loving the spigen nano.

Spigen nano is amazing...installation was a breeze...and the touch is simply excellent. Can't even think to get back to plastic screen protectors now.
I will say after looking at MIME's site they do offer a tempered glass screen protector + aluminum button for the GN2 which is something Spigen doesn't do, based on issues they had early on. I hope Spigen returns to offering one for the GN3 and if not MIME does.
I recently installed a Spigen nano on my S4. Amazing. I can't believe I've been using the plastic screen protectors for so long. I love the fact that I can touch my screen and still have it feel like glass. The installation was also much easier than any non-glass screen protector. I just lined it up and dropped it down and the screen protector did the rest. Perfect fit with no bubbles.
For anyone that wants to see it done see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpsBbld0E2A
It's my video of my installation. The angle could have been better, but it gives you the basic idea.

I personally use a screen protector because it´s easier to switch a $2 screen protector than the complete screen. Also i keep my phone in my pocket with an additional tpu case
Note: please vote scratched even if there is only 1 small scratch on your screen

Im using a very thin and crystal clear SP that you almost can not notice that there is SP installed.
I forgot the brand but it cost me less than $15
My beloved galaxy SL i9003 still scratchless and I never use SP on it.
i don't use any screen protectors for any phone. I just love the feeling that my finger direct touch the screen without any protector My phone have no scratches so far, but I can't guarantee that in the future.
The glass screen is very hard and our finger/nagel/keys cannot hurt it at all, don't worry about it.
Only one thing in our all day life which harder than the glass is the sand, we can't protect our phone from sand completly, it exist on the ground everywhere, but if you don't fall your phone to the ground (and very unlucky with the screen down), the screen has very few chance to be scratched with the sand.
No screen protector, no scratches. Just exercise some caution and your screen will remain perfect
I have a couple of tiny spots and really thin scratches that can be seen when viewing at a specific angle. No screen protector, ever.
Use a glass screen protector. Dropped my phone and the glass took the scratch rather than the screen so worth it for the sake of keeping screen in tact.
im using a cheap plastic from nowheres-ville and its not scratched not even thw plastic itself

Got me a gold tempered glass screen protector. It cost around $20Aud and was easy to apply. Fits well, is glass so noplasticy feel to the screen and everything registers well with screen touches.
If the sand scratches the screen, no biggie as it can be removed pretty easily.
Also came with a 2 home button extender sticker so that was no problem either...
Spigen GlasT.r here, $40 locally.
Best investment for my S4. Together with the neo hybrid it just looks awesome.
The glast.r is smoother and better than the original gorilla glass 3.

I generally use a screen protector on all of my high end devices. On my i9505, I've currently only have my otterbox defender screen protector on but eventually I'll prolly move onto a spigen glas.t nano slim when I'm ready.
