Anyone interested in patching the lockscreen mod over to one of our aosp roms? I would do it myself if I weren't so bad at this stuff and had linux on my computer.
Well I feel dumb. Forgot to post the original thread for it.

I'd vote for this also.
I'm going to try and port this over tonight. I don't know if it will work just by decompiling framework-res for CleanRom and applying the patch, but I'll nandroid and try it. Scott's Rom is based on AOSP it says, and contains AOSP apps, but I don't know if it's entirely compatible.
I've been around here for a while, time to do something useful.

Do you guys think roms like ruby from the incredible will make it onto the thunderbolt? That had to have been my favorite aosp rom. O hope they make one for here.

I don't think Ruby will happen since the developer stopped developing for it and joined the CM team. Unless someone else picks up developing it.
But there will be other AOSP roms along with CM7 and MIUI available I'm sure. Its just a matter of time.

Just install it through twrp

I'm going to say that it probably won't work.
Mainly because that launcher is touchwiz only, not sense. Two different things.
In other words, don't waste your time with it.
If you do want to use it, your best bet would be to run and AOSP ROM and then flash it. It may/may not work.

I think you are confused:
Xperia = Sony
Touchwiz = Samsung
Hatka ROM has the Xperia launcher as an AROMA option, so apparently it will work on Sense ROMs.
Thx guys. I just extracted the apk from my hatka backup and installed

Hi there,
I present you some new devs toys, the the latest Qualcomm drivers for adreno 2xx and 3xx and as the HTC One S got the 225 and android 4.2, I think it may be useful for some dev to integrate them in their android 4.2 ROM/Kernel (I 'm not a dev I don't know where it's supposed to be).
https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobi...phics-optimization-adreno/tools-and-resources
It has been released the 4th of March 2013
Incase anyone needs to download without signing up..

Better graphics performance in games, better benchmarks. (or maybe no lag or screen tearing in 4.2 ROMs)
Higher version number which is always good!!
Excellent news! It's all happening at once for our One S' now! :good:
Can you flash this in twrp?

Next question, is someone going to work with these and possibly a finished zip?

Don't think they work just like that...it should be too easy. I've replaced the files in LiquidSmooth 2.0 with the ones from the zip to test....and ended up in a black screen. Had to restore from backup. Could be that other modules or even kernel has to be changed in order to work with the new drivers

Same here. I adb pushed some files over to etc and bin and app but all my apps like systemui started force closing! Had to reinstall CM from scratch.

You should have known better! lol I made that mistake a while ago. I did not had a good nand at that moment, had to start from scratch also. Just wait after someone fix/build/test a zip etc...
Yep I built a flashable zip and it wouldn't boot.

A kernel dev should, I'm sure there working on it now.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Yes, this is something we should expect to be supported in future ROMs and kernel builds. Regular users shouldn't try to install this over their current ROMs.
As I said it's a dev toy

I was wanting to learn how to port a ROM and was wondering what phones are compatible with porting ROMs or if it mattered. I am using the step by step tutorial given in the android development forum.

I'm no dev so I can't speak for the ease of it, but the T989 is very similar and most ROMs are cross-compatible with just a rotation fix. Might be best to start there.
You can port some ROMs to some phones. You can port a aosp ROM pretty easily to about any phone but you couldn't port a sense ROM to our skyrocket because sense is complicated and requires a lot of work because its closed sourced. Same thing with our touchwiz ROMs, it won't like being ported to another phone. So if you wanna try to port something try an AOKP, paranoid android, or miui just make sure you ask permission from the original devs for the selected ROM before you post it.

Yes, and i've heard the international SGSII LTE i9210 has the same chipset as t989 so their roms should be easy to port. A guy in this forum flashed an i727 rom on his i9210 and it worked (except for softbuttons).
That said, do NOT flash any roms that aren't i727(r) or Hercules based. The international s2's kernel would brick our phone in a heartbeat. Here's a tip, the AT&T s3 has a very close chipset to ours, if you know how to edit dalvik bytecode...

Okay, I've been scanning all the rooms in android development and original android development. I don't see any that include the multitasking you find on the galaxy note 2. The feature has been out for a while so I thought it might be ported over by now. Maybe I'm just missing it.
Does anybody know of a rom for the hox that includes that feature? Thanks in advance.

That is a Samsung only feature

There was some sort of framework mod out there that was similar to it. There were a couple HP Touchpad roms with it baked in. I can't quite remember the name of it though.
Ah, found it. It's called cornerstone.
