[Q] CM10 for HTC One X (AT&T) - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I am not sure if this topic has been covered already, but just curious if any of the awesome devs have started any work on getting CM10 with JB on our AT&T One X.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

The source isn't even out for JB so no.

I'll have it done by tonight

You sure that you're in the right forum? There's only 1 stable AOKP rom for the AT&T One X. Do you have the AT&T version or the International version? Different phones and the ROMs are not interchangeable.

You'd be buying a new phone. Don't do it.

Your phone will become a $365-$400 useless paper weight. Never flash a ROM that's not for your phone!!! They have different CPUs.

There's only 2 of them at all. 1 for ICS and 1 for JB. Did you even search for them? They aren't very hard to find. I don't mean to be rude but if you even looked in the original development forum you would see it. Here's the link anyway. In the future please try searching instead of asking questions that you could answer with 2 simple clicks of your mouse.

Possible to port endeavor rom

Okay! Will do! I will also work on a jb 4+ also. Have alot of spare time right now haha

It's definitely possible. You just have to make damn sure you have the major stuff, IE boot.img and framework smali trees edited/patched correctly for our phone. Otherwise, we allllllllllllll die.

It is possible, but it is a lot harder. It's a lot easier to port roms such as from the EVO 4G LTE, One S, etc. This is mainly because the interior of the endeavoru is a lot different so it takes a lot of work to sort out modules, libs etc

LOL mmcblk0p33 is system (os) and mmcblk0p35 is data. Make sure its correct in your script.. I can take an endeavor ROM and change 3 lines and it'll flash and turn on.. but boot loop, so that might be your issue

[Q] How to upgrade to jelly beans ?

Hey dude, I am using my unlocked AT & T HTC ONE X here at Nepal although it was bought at US few months back. I have been searching how to upgrade my AT & T HTC one X to jelly beans and I did not get the solution. Instead I found that HTC one X from AT and T is not same as HTC one x international copy whose update for jelly beans has been published already. So, let me know if some of you guys have idea how to upgrade my phone to jelly beans. Thanks in advance. Also, let me know if the multitasking issue can be solved quickly.

The stock ROM has terrible multitasking. That's the issue. It can't run apps in the background very well. It stops the app.

You put your phone in a jar of jelly beans and close the lid. shake it around and shout "jelly bean!! jelly bean!!". Then open the lid.. voila! you now have jelly bean!!
You can get a Jelly Bean rom on your phone by rooting and unlocking, and flashing one of the JB-based CM10/AOKP roms in the original development section.
If you want a Sense rom, you have to wait as nothing has been leaked or released yet for the devs to work with.

Hey thanks for your reply, regarding multitasking issue, its like I don't get the app in same state once its left.
If I leave the browser, it needs to reload the web page. If I leave a game, I need to start from the beginning. If I pause and exit Slacker radio for a minute, the app closes and I can't even resume my music with the headphones button! I need to re-open the app and start playing all over again.

Well... I don't see any in the Dev Sections... so I'd hazard a guess and say no! Give it some time to be released to other models before even thinking about a port the the XL.

Ubuntu is releasing a porting guide tomorrow, once I look at that, I am going to see about getting Ubuntu on our phone
I'm just passing soy sauce:victory:
Given that Ubuntu Touch is based on CyanogenMod, I'd say that anyone looking to port it to our phone should probably wait until TBalden stabilises his Official CyanogenMod for the One X (or better yet, help him out, he's not very far off at all). From that point, making Ubuntu work on our phones should be a lot easier a task.
