Does this mean we can go back to 2.3.5 stock and update to ICS officially?
UCLF6 modems
Here's the UCLF6 modems, CWM flashable: UCLF6 modems
(Just flashed the modems, but I'm sticking with CM9 nightlies for now.)
Downloading Kies now, will test it out when I get home.

No need for that, just grab the ODIN flashable version and flash is over whatever you're running now (nandroid first, of course!)
i notice this is for i727 so will it work on i727r?

Yup but this means source drops soon! Our kernel source for our phone instead of hercules means less bugs!
Holy mother of god. I can't believe it's here! Thanks for posting this cschmitt!
Now we just need to deal with incessant "When is official Jellybean coming?" threads for the next few months.
This is the official ATT version right? I thought rogers already had ICS

Correct, Rogers ICS has been on sammobile.com for about a month now.
What a shocker, it rolls out right after the Galaxy S3's ship out... Amazing coincidence!

the kernel and radio will be different so would this att sammobile odin tar flash on a i727r?
or is it even worth the bother? i'll assume there will be no difference between this and the rogers 4.0.4

Thanks hit.
Not noticing a big difference in UL/DL speed on the UCLF6 modem. Wasn't expecting anything either. Latency seems to be a bit better overall.

oh well ill stick with rogers 4.0.4
Popcorn,
Since your on Rogers, I would highly recommend to NOT download and install the ATT Version. You would need the SGH-I727R version. The slight differences between the 2 can become catastrophic.

Yeah! after 2.3.4 it directly jumped to 2.3.6. it was out on april last week.
@nail can you test with stock 2.3.4 with kies whether it is asking for update? unfortunately i have no data cable now..
Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2
I had installed 2.3.4 before but kies wouldn't support the phone, it would always show "this Device cannot be updated via kies"
i'm flashing 2.3.6 now.
btw from where did you get this firmware ? it's isn't there at the sammobile website

No need to shout.
So it's merely an Indian localisation. Seems that Samsung is no way aware of existing problems. I'm so gonna spam their support.

xxkqe is also not listed there...
edit: oh they have added kqe ..
kqd is an official india release, ask google
Anyways did you check if there were any new files in this rom ?
broodplank had found a difference between XXKQE and XXKQB
edit:I hope one day samsung will release ICS for our phone, the phone sale is quite good here in India maybe they will reconsider releasing an ics upgrade.

ok, touchwiz launcher 4 is still buggy.
maybe someone should test the launcher with this whole rom. just to be sure.
and maybe something is fixed, like lockscreen?

A small question: where did you get the attached file from? I just extracted the TW app from ROM system image and the MD5 is different... Also smaller - 1.75MB

just extract the "rom".tar.md5 with 7zip, use the cygwin kitchen and set up a working folder with cache.img.ext4, system.img.ext4, and boot.img
then you can deodex the rom and use single apk's

Is there a chance TW can be fixed with fix permisssions as well ???
Or by deodexing ???

I have wiped up a batch of ICS for Galaxy Y. It isn't build from source(I abandoned that project). I'm not assuring you whether it'll boot or not. It is only for devs.
Use it at your own risk.
*My phone's IC curcuit went for a toss. So, I can't test it for the time being.*
*Don't ask unnecessary question like "How did I port it ?"
Test it and report
Tester
Install merruk pre-2.0 kernel
Format System
Mount System
Install ICS
Wipe Data
Reboot
ICS??
another ics port again?
U've try?
hears good, its portet from an original ics source?
Anyone tried this ?? Boot or not ? Waiting ..

Thanks Designgears I'm happy with 4.3 and Safe strap for now. What is the difference between the 2 one clicks?

2 OneClicks?
Also, unquote the OP.

OMG, I actually have a change log for this
Never seen these before are they one clicks for Odin? I know it says to skip if we don't know what they are but I've never seen them and would like to learn about this stuff. Well I know one is a one click but is it for Odin is tthe other a adb sideload zip?

No these are the partition images which, assuming they include the sammy signatures, can be tarred up and flashed with Odin. But they include a new bootloader which means that once you flash it you are stuck and can't go back to MK2.

Ok thanks I know that if we update our phone with these we will be stuck but didn't know what they actually were but I'm willing to take the plunge and flash this leak and see how it goes.

OneClicks are files that include their own form of ODIN in the package. You don't need to use ODIN because it already has it. And you are correct, it clearly states in the OP if you don't know what it means to to leave. You need to learn what things are and how to use them before you come to a Development forum. Fortunately, there is a lot of information available through Google Search and a lot of tutorials. The people that don't do this or think they don't need to do this are the ones that end up in the Q&A section begging others to help them.
And thanks DesignGears for posting another early firmware leak.
Can someone extract the modem on this?
Thanks Designgears... awesome leak
I may have to put this on one of my spare S4's and play around with it. Going to wait a few days though.

I see that Samsung stuck with the same colored icons and green battery in the status bar. I thought they would change to white like the other KK leak screenshots floating around.
