LOL I got it rooted now, I used superoneclick! Now i need help installing CWM
I suggest just taking some time to read through what's in the dev forum - hold off on posting there, but in general, just take time to read and research.
There's a LOT of information to absorb, but it's worth it if you take the time to read through it. It's part of my strategy for hitting the ground running with a new device - I'll spend a few hours reading through all of the recent threads to get a feel for things.

I just got my slide and I'm looking for an app that can tell me what my dual cores are running at. I've been using android system info but out does not show me cpu speeds and percentages. Is there any app that can do this?

I don't know what each core's clocked at out of the box, but the device in general is at 1.2Ghz.

We all know you could, but of course you wouldnt do it ha. I would get into developing, but right now i just dont have the time. My mom is also not too estatic about it; even though it could help me out later with aeronatical engeenering somehow. Also having a better phone to develop with *cough captivate cough* would be a lot easier, the infuse has little in common with other phones. Wish whoever wants to try this out the best though.

Exactly... Just going to point out ics is just not the best place to start, maybe try building a ginger rom first or a few to get the hang of it. Itll prob take years, something im going to wait a few years to pick up on.

So my boss gave me the new NOKIA lumia 900.... so i'll be without a skyrocket for 90 days.... this blows but at the same this phone is pretty nice!! so i'm without a phone for now i'll try and keep in touch have a lot of things to work on right now.. so i'll try and help as much as possible, i usally hang in Mod's forum NexusMOd, and fuax123.. so if you have a Q let me know... I think what most people on XDA have taken exception to is HTC's complete disregard for GPL compliance. Locked bootloaders and partial source code (if any) abound. It's not that the devs don't like a challenge, it's just that they take offense to a company going out of their way to block them and completely disregard the law.

I want the S4 simply because I've basically had every Galaxy made by samsung. I had to sell my S3 but I loved the way it felt, and from the reviews I've heard of the S4, it feels even better so going off of that and all of the cool features it has I want it!

The HTC One phone looks cool, HTC Sense looks good.

with recent court rulings about patents not worth as much as they initially thought, I would imagine Google is ready to cut their losses on this one
The one's build quality is too premium to pass and the s4's features seem more like gimmicks
