Kno

Does anybody have the Kno textbook app for their n8000? I tried to download it from the google play store, it says that it is not compatible. are there any work arounds for this? I really want this on my galaxy note tablet for studying. I have it installed in my galaxy s3 and I am happy with it. Any advice would be welcome BTW, my galaxy note is not rooted and even my s3.
Have you tried using the default Samsung appstore?

Yes I have tried looking for it in the play store and in the samsung apps but its not there.
Not compatible with the 3g version of the galaxy nte, don't know why but a lot of people aren't happy about that... You can sideload the app but you need to edit the build.prop to think its an 8013/10 or a google nexus.... You can find more info in Themes and Apps section...

Samsung Gear app store not listing all apps

I have my Samsung Gear 2 paired with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active and when I go into the app store it only shows around 55 apps. I took it into Best Buy where I bought both and talked with the rep there. His S3 paired with a Gear 2 Neo showed all of the apps. Is there any workaround or fix for this? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the Galaxy app store and the Gear manager, re-flashing the S5, and factory resetting the Gear 2. Any help you guys can offer would be very appreciated!

Load up a build.prop editor from the play store if your phone is rooted and change the phone model to a G900T which is a regular S5 , there are a few threads out there covering how to do this. For some crazy reason Samsung hasn't figured out that their app store sucks really bad and it's apps will work for Gear 1 and Gear 2 with all versions of the note 2,3's and all versions of their S4/S5's. It seems the store checks to see the exact phone model and if the developer of the apps hasn't listed your exact model, then it won't show. Samsung has become a lost cause. Luckily for us though we have XDA and some work arounds. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply,I haven't rooted it yet but I'll try it out tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get more than 55 apps to show up lol
Okay, so towelroot doesn't currently support the S5 Active, or so it told me when I mashed the "make it ra1n" button. Looking for another rooting option.
Edit: Found a rooting solution! http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/how-to-root-g870aucu1ang3-gs5-active-t2868776
Got everything working and good to go!

[q] gear 2 with nexus 6????

Has anybody had any luck with Nexus 6 and gear 2? I have searched every thread I could find and tried multiple ways of installing for non-samsung phones but with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you manage to get it working? Im interested in ths too.
Same here. Just got a n6 and have been trying to get the gear 2 to work with it. Only thing i could do was sync it to my old s4 i replaced to get the clock etc to show up. Other than that the second i pair it with the n6 it will want to reformat.

Getting Milk on S2

I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I looked through 10 different threads and didn't find what I was seeking. This has been a PITA for me.
So I had a Note Edge and went into the store to trade it for a cheaper phone while grabbing a Gear S2. The cheaper phone I grabbed was a Galaxy Core Prime. I did this because I have a Blackberry Priv that I use as my primary. When I started the S2, Milk was already on there, but so was someone else's contacts, messages, numbers, etc., suggesting that it was evidently a restocked item. When I formatted it, Milk disappeared. Now, had I known that one needed a special high-end Samsung phone to even get Milk on the S2, I obviously would have kept my Note for an extra day to do just that. As it stand, the S2 works perfectly with the Priv, but it cannot access the Milk Companion in the Galaxy Apps Store. My Galaxy Tab S doesn't connect with gear at all, and the Galaxy Core Prime has access to all of the relevant apps but doesn't meet the requirements to connect to the S2.
Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions for getting the Milk app on my S2? I've not been able to find a WGT file for the life of me, and I'm half-tempted to root the Prime so that I can access the Galaxy Apps Store companion file, as I suspect that's the necessary widget. If there’s not a simpler solution though, I might try to go to a Samsung Kiosk or a carrier's store to see if they won't let me temporarily pair the S2 with a sufficient Samsung phone to grant me Milk access. I've got 2gb of data for this watch and it'd be nice to come close to using it.
Hindsight...
Does anyone have a Milk WGT file they can upload?

Gear Fit 2 and Galaxy On5

Hey guys, I've got a Samsung Gear Fit 2 that I just bought up from Amazon and I've got an issue. While Samsung says the devices are compatible with one another, the Gear app isn't, and it's driving me insane. Does anyone have a fix for this compatibility issue? I can't get past the compatibility lock, and when I've used previous bypasses by the devs I'm caught by the plugin and accessory lock. Any help?
Thanls for the information...
