GPS not working - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

hey guys,
i have noticed that when i flashed ddkp3 my gps stopped working. It does not detect any satellite .I tries gps status and fast fix but nothing works . I thought if i might update to DDLF2 it might solve my problem but to no avail
Im currently on stock kernel and no mods whatsoever .Also when i was on froyo the gps worked well. PLs someone help me.thanx
PS: i also have wiped cache and factory reset with complete flash from kpe

Alright...problem is solved...after a lot of searching on the net..I found that sometimes upgrading to gingerbread causes this problem....so I put a small rectangular peice of aluminum on the back of my phone near the top right hand side to extend the range and that fixed it !!

GPS on STOCK vs ROOTED

I remember when I was on stock factory rom my GPS was working perfectly.
Now on custom rom rooted it bearly gets my location right..
Opinions?

Funny, on stock I could never get a lock. Try this: set the GPS source to internal
Grab an app called GPS status
Run it and let it download the "aiding data" them reboot, relaunch it, seconds later you should have a lock.

What rom?

I'm having the exact same issues. I used to have trouble locking but now as soon as I enable gps my phone reboots. I'm gonna try wiping it clean tomorrow and running the dragon kernel to see if it helps. Running Bionix Reloaded (latest)
anyone know a quick fix without rebooting?

I too have instant locks on any stock based rom after updating my baseband. But, after flashing custom CM7/EB/ etc non stock roms i noticed it took a little longer to lock if it even locked. So i seen a post here on xda about going into the maps app via settings/ applications/ manage applications. Then clear cache/data. Then going back into navigation or maps app i would receive instant locks again. Sorry I dont have a link to that thread but thats what helped me. it takes a few extra seconds to do that but i liked it better than rebooting my phone which took longer.

[Q] Problem with accelerometer!!

I have a rooted Nexus S i9023 running CM9 RC1 with Air Kernel... I usually have auto rotate turned off because I don't like it! But then a few days back my device used to auto rotate automatically with the rotate being turned off.. It solved itself after a few days so I didn't bother. But it's just stuck in landscape mode and will not switch no matter what I do! It happened while I was using KangyU also and it happened with it also 3 times. Everytime I need to perform a factory reset and flash a new ROM and then it solves :/ I used androsensor and it does show a value for Accelerometer but my phone simply does not rotate! Is there a problem with my accelerometer? Do i need to give it to the service center or can I do something that will solve it? Any help appreciated
If doing a factory reset/ reflash fixes it. Then it is not a hardware issue.
Not factory reset persay. I need to flash a new ROM for it to go normal

This is probably a problem with your Kernel or ROM, please flash a stock ROM to ensure that the accelerometer is fine. If you are afraid you might lose anything make a backup or so.
Okay yeah AiRKernel might be the problem. Thanks I'll try it and let you know. Thanks!

I went stock.. But AndroSensor is still showing the same reading it was showing on CM9.. And the auto-rotation bug only comes after a few weeks into any ROM.. Also everytime that occurs I get a prompt saying
" Complete action using
Clock
Tune In Radio "
Everytime I get that pop-up I'm stuck on landscape for infinity. So can it be an app problem? It's happened so far on 3 ROM's I've used (KangyU, CM9, Paranoiandroid)
so I doubt whether it is a ROM issue. Maybe a Kernel issue because I've used AirKernel on all 3 of them
Could be either I suppose. Not sure how either could cause it though
The sensor read out should be the same no matter what rom is on there. That is normal. The app itself tells you what the read outs from each sensor should be as well
My point. But what I mean is, If readings are the same then the behaviour should be same as well right? Where is the accelerometer exactly located?

If a new rom and kernel didn't fix it then it might be hardware.
Strangest thing happened. I uninstalled Tune In Radio and voila auto rotate back! So the app was the issue! But any idea what might have possessed that app to do so? :/

HELP ! dead radio!

I just acquired a t769 , in pristine condition, alas I have no connectivity whatsoever. No wifi , no GSM, nothing. Tried reflashing via Odin , flashing new modem via CWM... nothing .
I had this issue once. Everything randomly started working again next morning.

still nothing trying Kies now
I think I figured out what is wrong . Whoever had the phone before must have tried to modify settings in engineering mode , because I think the baseband processor is stuck in a test mode..... I just have to figure out how to reset it . Does anybody have any ideas ?
Try this thread, it's the hidden codes for our phone, I'm at work so can't go through an all but here is a link

Thanks but I've tried all of them even via command line . Most of the menus don't even appear , not even band selection or test modes, I tried another Blaze and the codes work as they should.

Help with ICS port P920

Hey community im in a bit of pickle and need some help on how to get out of it. I have a P920 which i have flashed with XBSA's ICS port. All went fine, i have then rooted the phone and installed TWRP recovery on to it. So far so good but heres where the problems begin. I have installed the several different custom ROMS available for ICS but i have a battery issue with all of them. The battery has juice left in it but after 5 mins or so of using the phone the battery drops to 1% then switches off. Thats the first issue, the 2nd issue is that im not able to change the clock widget on the lockscreen. Even though i change it in the settings when i lock the screen its still the same widget on there (London time and Seoul time widget). Help please if anybody can

No i haven't tried that, is that done through TWRP? Im having issues with downloading apps from the play store as well, i can log in but it doesnt let me download anything, keeps giving me an error plus im getting no network signal in areas where i used to have full signal when i was on gingerbread. Might have to downgrade to gingerbread again at this rate
OK the signal is only a baseband problem and yes wiping is done through recovery

Urgent Help for Win 8

I am using this phone on Dhirus CM9 and the signal is not pickking up so I decided to make a fresh install of the ROM.
So I opened the Odin in my PC running Win8 and when I connect my phone to PC in downloading mode its not getting recognised(that ICOM recognition). It was working when I was in Win7
My phone navigation buttons are not working and so I was using CM9 with Nav Buttons mod It was fine but the signal is picking up.
So now is odine doesnt work in Win 8 or Its my phones fault??
I also installed the Samsung USB driver and my phones works perfectly bar Nav Buttons and Signal strength.
And Wifi works good long battery life also.
Plz can any one know about the FIX ??
