This actually came out yesterday. Wasn't gonna make a thread for it, but I guess I should put my bias aside since it is scoring a 4.3/5, and somehow it's little box in the corner of XperiaPlayGamer is more popular than the featured game

The game has some little things I don't quite like about it:
• No run button, so you're walkin' it out the whole game (unless there's speed boots I don't know of)
• Virtual keys stay active even when using the physical ones
• Virtual keys are freaking massive, making the above even worse
• It needs a filter (Super Eagle? 2x2 Sai?) to make the game look less pixelated
But otherwise, it's fun, the music is nice, and the script writing is both well-done and HILARIOUS.

Anyway, thanks TLR. Pretty good find here.
Nothing wrong with pixels TLR
Okay, so I'm just gonna admit I'd horribly misjudged this title! My opinion of this game has DRASTICALLY changed with every minute I've put into it. This game is DAMN fun, has a very rewarding "Enhance" system and the script-writing is even more hilarious than I previously gave it credit for:-D
If I had a video clip of FlossyCarter saying "This game is a definite GO!" it'd be right here.

I hope this hasn't been asked a million times but I'm just wondering what games have fun multiplayer with people online to actually play with. I have dungeon defender second wave, modern combat 2, and rainbow 6 but curious what I should get next. Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before.

Does brother in arms use the touch pad as a joystick or a touch pad like every other gameloft fps.
Sent from my R800x
Virtual pad for aiming and directional pad for moving r1 for shooting x for reloading. Right pad is for aiming though very sensitive better to tap l1 for iron sights
Sent from my R800x using XDA App
as other gameloft games i suppose its some sort of swipe movement instead of a joystick kind of use for the touch pad, it works quite well actually, just gotta get used to it, kinda working on NOVA 2 right now and im getting better at it
My fav multiplayer game is dungeon defenders - its a bit different to the gameloft ones as its more based around team work than PVP. Its really good fun, will be better when second wave is out on other phones so more people come on to play!

Hi,
my game offers multiplayer on the same device as well as on different devices through an internet connection. Would be my pleasure if you try it out and let me know what you think about it. It's quite new so you might sometimes need to wait a bit for someone to respond to your request but I'm a new Android developer and I would appreciate the support Here's the link to the review made by an xda forum member: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/multipong-multiplayer-pong/

DragonFly free is an addictive multiplayer game. It's the android version of Ios's "Tiny wings"
Edit: The game I was talking about has been redesigned to focus on supporting the Vita and Nvidia Shield, but another game is in the works for the Xperia Play. Details will be posted soon.

Any game TLRtheory recommend has to be good to try!
I tested the game just now, weird the X/[]/O//\ buttons work just fine.
I also noticed that you can select "RELATIVE " in the option for the control mode instead of "D-PAD", that will hide the on-screen dpad and still you can use the PLAY control pad and enjoy more of the screen.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's another compatibility issue.
Like I mentioned before, another game worked like this. PewPew 2 would only work with R800a, not R800x or R800i. Probably just didn't make the controls work for all R800 models.
The developer just updated the game today with quick fix.
That was fast!! I hope that resolve the issue.

Seriously... it's like seeing Japanglese games like Zero Wing in the beginning of the nineties all over again. When will the brainy graphical adventures à la Monkey Island or Grim Fandango take over like they did in the middle nineties?

Is it just me, or are these mobile app developers getting to be more competent than the big-time console devs?
Definitely giving them props on my Youtube publication channel.
This game is pretty fun. Works fine with the XPlay controls. I was a little thrown off by the boss after boss after boss kind of thing at first, but it does make for a good mobile game.
Fcuk, boss already at the beginning of the level.. I'm s*ck at this.. But i will try to finish this game, I don't wanna waste my 2$ for this..

Yeah, I think the barriers between independent developers and consumers is very limited especially within the android market/appstore.
It is very easy and convinent for us to rate & write a comment -which only take few minutes- to support the dev or request or complain about something.
I think it is very important feature and very beneficial for everyone within the eco system to take advantage of. Especially for us PLAY owners if we want more support & trust from the developers.
I think I would start a thread in PLAY general forum to discuss it & its long-term benefit. Only if I weren't lazy

Buggy games like Bethesda's and Gameloft's are sold by the millions and seldom, if ever, have their bugs fixed. Indie devs do well in listening to their customers, but it's obvious that it's not a key feature for success.

Please contact me who have problems with jump ball. To eliminate the problem. Thank you in advance.
Awesome game, but the control is damn weird. I suggest:
-A rounded joystick (like in most RPG and soccer games) on the left for movement
-A jump button on the right.
-Drag freely on the screen for camera.
Great game! Runs smooth, but the controls for jumping do not work all the time.

+1
I just tried the game on my tablet. Looks pretty slick.
I had problems with jumping in both control layouts; a simple tap rarely worked for me, but I was able to jump consistently in control type 2 by tapping the screen in the middle with three fingers.
Besides buinghia98's suggestions, I think keyboard or HID controller support would be great to have.
Control has been completely remade and fixed bug with jump.
No plan do direct the ball with accelerometers ?
nice soundtracks

I had to look in wikipedia since I never played scamble before. I can make a game similar to that, just have to figure out the best control layout. I will get to work on that after I finish my next game.
I realized that Fear the walking dead run was released for IOS but not android. I am going to do a 2D version of that game and then work on a Scramble port.
Cheers, look forward to that. I miss the old games, another classic is centerped, the sequel was called millipede

Ok quick update on what I am working on
1) My larger game project which is %60 complete is going to be a God type game similar to pocket God.
2) Also since Nintendo has disrespected us Android users by releasing Super Mario Run for Iphone only, I will be making a version for us Android users. My run game is %80 done and should be released in 2 to 3 days. I am heavily disappointed in Nintendo's choice of platform since Apple's Iphone has been doing terrible the last year and a half.
For those who liked this game I have another game out now Super Retro Bros Run

I don't know if anyone was around when sites like Albino Blacksheep were popular but I had a game on there with the same name and a similar premise:
Robots are after your cheese. Swing your flail around to knock them away
This is my second real game in the store. It's a very toned down version of my original idea, which would have included upgrades to your weapon and cheese

Thank you! Cute is always good
Unique gameplay!
I haven't played a game with a gameplay mechanic like that before! I managed to score 192 before those evil robots ate all my cheese. I liked the game but it could use a little more polish. Maybe in future versions you could collect scrap from the robots and then have an upgrade system where you could add a shield to the cheese or increase the strength of the projectile? Great stuff!
Original game, did you use any engine to develop it?

I built my own minimal physics engine based on box2d. It's very specific to the game so I'm not sure it could be applied to much else

That's funny, for the upgrades I mentioned in the main post, scrap was literally the name for the currency I was going to implement. The code is still in the game but I lost motivation to create the menus and do tedious tweaking with amounts

Decent concept. Fairly unique, I think with upgrades and more progression there'd be a reason to play more than a couple rounds.
Maybe a lot more effort on graphics too
Yeah, graphics are tough
