Ok thanks i hope to learn about this quick.

Use Hasoon's all in one tool kit - works brilliantly. I got root without problems two weeks ago. S-off with JuopunutBear wire trick. Just follow the instructios

This is right above your post.....
Moved to general as not android development.
would be nice...
As far as I'm understanding the OP, the question seems more about a simpler method where no PC is involved like on other phones.

How to get HTC ROM on a branden device?

Hi!
Found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15106225&postcount=1 guide over at the Wildfire S section, does this work even on our Sensation to get rid of the branding e.g Vodafone?
Or does it work in the first place? Sound very easy and simple...
1.- Create Goldcard.

Falls at the first hurdle. Best we have on sensation is temp root at the moment.
This should be in the Q&A section! Get it right people!

No because it can't be tried.

It's not in the development line, because if you searched, you would know that the goldcard method has already been tried, and doesn't work

Alright.. cool it. The guy's just asking if it can be done. I've been allover these forums for a while and I never ran across the "goldcard method" for the sensation. It's not that easy to find...
The question is just fine in this forum. Not like it's bustling with activity or anything...
just found this
hey guys i just found this see sensation and evo 3D are mention to http://teamandroid.in/create-goldcard-for-htc-android-phones-video-guide-theandroidsoul/

Apologies. I think the gold card thread was closed a while ago, because it doesn't work. Pretty sure there is a link to it in the roll-up thread though. Either way, it is annoying when people don't post threads in the correct section.

Yes, that is the way to make a gold card, but sadly (due to the new security on the Sensation I assume) it doesn't work. It's the same way that is used to make all gold cards. There have been a lot of "guides" showing how to do things for the Sensation, for example use GingerBreak. It's just people taking a guide for a different device and adding Sensation or EVO 3D to the title, knowing that people are looking for it. Extreme laziness on the part of the people who post them.

How can I get ICS?

I want to switch from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich but don't know how to do it... Can someone help me out?

Let me get this straight....
I told you the thread is somewhere in the Sensation XDA forums...and you want me to do the search for you to find it?
If you're not capable of doing a search for the thread, you shouldn't be trying to upgrade your phone. There are risks of killing the phone.
well u should start here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
read it and understand it before you start anything - always a risk you can brick your phone...but I think its rare if you follow to letter
once rooted look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1112
you will find threads for many ROMs - ICS included. All ICS ROMs are still based on beta ICS HTC Rom. I use ARHD...here

Or wait until ICS is officially released (in the next week(s)/month(s) depending on who you ask) and it is pushed to your phone by Google.

Newer devices have a different rooting method I'm on my mobile so I can't give a link but look thru development thread you will find it

Here's a guide to s-0ff and rooting. I really hope this helps! Its for the HTC sensation. It also shows how to super cid, if your interested. Read carefully
Some h boot versions require different methods I don't know what boot version you are but you can look over guide to get a general idea. Really must know the h boot before you can follow a certain set of instructions because the instructions are different for different versions. Without knowing that information you really can't follow guide.

Hello,
I just followed the tutorial to s-off my phone. However, after I finished I notice I can no longer get 4g. I've been looking for a couple hours now and cannot find a fix. Did s-off actually break it or maybe a setting change or something. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry but I have to disagree. It has always said 4g in the signal. and this --> http://www.amazon.com/HTC-One-Android-Phone-T-Mobile/dp/B007W5694W
Thanks everyone for trying to help. I re-flashed my rom a couple of time and it started working again. Idk what the problem was.
it is all semantics, tmobile calls their hspa+ 4g
where others consider true 4g to be lte
but glad it is working now

Sorry, but I have to disagree. As rugmankc said, it's not true 4g. Go and try it yourself with a speed test with "speed test.net" and you will NOT get speeds of 20mb/s.
