If you wish to do your own here is a little help to get you started while following his guide.
Once you decompile the policy.jar
In the Open GlobalActions.smali search for this line:
- "Lcom/android/internal/policy/impl/GlobalActions$3;"
(Change 3 to 99. There will be two of them. The other 3 will be a line down)
SAVE!
And in the GlobalActions$SinglePressAction.smali
Change this:
-.method static constructor ()V
TO THIS
.method static constructor <clinit> ()V
After following his directions editing GlobalActions$SinglePressAction.smali before saving check this post to make sure your spacing is correct.
kahvitahra guide. There is a zip file to download with three smali files you will need after you decompile the policy.jar

Help Please People
1. Easiest way use the search on kitchen "welcomehead" anyway SYS\Redist_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320
2. OEM\ExtendedPKG "may be called OperatorPkg" in config_AP.txt you can TSK: \Windows\nameoff.tsk that will install in customization the .tsk
3. The OEM\OEM_Lang_0409 contains initflashfiles.dat to which will allow you to move shortcuts, if you are making a package OEM then you can change via initflashfiles.txt if it's EXT app.dat
4. OEM\OEMVERSION mxipupdate_OEMVERSION_100.provxml

This is a notification Icon set that I created based off of the Gingerbread Icons. I decided to post a zip file with all the icons in it so that a user can add them to the files they have on there own phone. This will preserve any custom modifications made to those files. Please enjoy and if you use them in a theme or anywhere else please make sure to credit me. Below is a pdf with the instructions on how to get the icons in the files and install them with a flashable zip. If you have any questions please send me a PM I will try to answer it ASAP. Most of the users on XDA are pretty advanced so I think the instructions will be nothing new or different from modify the files in other ways.
Enjoy! AND ALWAYS DO A BACKUP BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO CHANGE ANYTHING!

having trouble witht he zip link
I just tried it and it fully downloaded
Ok, I just tried it again and it worked. Thanks!
I followed all the steps and it looks like the only icon that actually changed was the signal bars...hmm
what icons did you copy over and did you put them in the right files?
Hey everyone,
I've been doing some smali hacking again for the first time in months, and the first time since double drive failures in July forced me back to OSX full time.
And I've been sorely missing smali syntax highlighting that I was so accustomed to in notepad++ on windows, so I made a syntax highlighting mode for smali for two popular mac applications, Coda and SubEthaEdit.

I'm not really sure how useful this will be to anyone else, I can't imagine that even a dozen people on the planet will really appreciate and use this, lol.
Anyway, you can see my original blog posts about them here http://wp.me/p1JZM0-O and here http://wp.me/p1JZM0-1Y
Or just jump to direct downloads for both right here:
Smali for SubEthaEdit, v0.3, 9/24/2011
Smali for Coda, v0.3, 9/24/2011
Cheers,
Well, I know that basically nobody cares about these, but I re-worked them a bit a couple weeks ago, and forgot to update the post here.
So I updated the post with new download links today.
Cheers,
This is my small collection of lockrings that I created (see post 2) so I figured that I might as well share them. They are super easy to make using the tutorial linked below. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself however, I will be more than happy to do it for you if you have any requests.
Thanks to gamendorf for the tutorial and batch file, this is what I use to make my lockrings.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253613
gamendorf also thanks jmaher1023, Flemmard, and DiamondBack2010 for their hard work too in making this possible so I will give these guys the props they deserve as well.
Acknowledgments:
jmaher1023 - I used his process as a template. All that my BATCH file does is automate his process
Flemmard and DiamondBack2010- I have no idea what M10 Tools does or how much trouble they had to go through to make it, but I do know that it is the heart and soul of this whole operation.
