If you want to root it use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056 download bagaria.tar cf root then flash it in odin via PDA. Connect your phone to pc (must be in download mode, to do this, while off hold volume down + menu + power)open odin, comport must be color yellow, click PDA then browse bagaria.tar.

You will get wifi error if you do this. Flash bam's kernel if you want root. Anyway if you're new you better read up yourself, or you won't know how to troubleshoot and when something goes wrong you come begging the forum for help, and its not easy to troubleshoot without the device in front of us.

Isn't the WiFi error limited to only XXLE4? I'm on DDLF2, and flashed CF-Root. No problems at all.

It did reboot a couple of times, but I think it had something to do with SuperUser. After updating it and its binaries, no problems. WiFi is working fine.

Thanks developers and users.
My another question is can any one suggest me any theme and softwares that works great for my i9003 ???

Where are you coming from and what are you trying to get to?
With out specifics, sounds like you need to Odin or heimdall back to stock and add a new recovery
Edit: goto the q,a threads. Lots of previous threads posted that will help you

I have a stock Infuse. I was able to root the device but thats about it. I can do nothing. It has UCKH1 on it now and I was wanting to go to MIUI Rom. I ran MIUI on my Vibrant and like it very much. But until I can get the recovery on, I can not do anything.

Download the Stock + root + modded 3e package and follow they instructions. I use this every time I want to go back to stock between roms, and it roots and installs the modded recovery (cwm) for you. So easy. Idk why more people don't use this.

Find out CF root for your phone from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253 and root it per instructions on same thread.
Then go ahead and decide on what next ROM you want to install. GO to dev thread for that particular ROM and install by following ALL instructions on that thread. Search Q&A thread in general section for that particular ROM for any questions that you might have. Post question in that thread if you cannot find answers to your questions.

Unable to Root after upgrade to I9003JPKPM
Kies updated my firmware recently to I9003JPKPM and I lost my root access. Previously I was using amit bagaria's universal cf-root.
After the firmware was installed, i again tried to root the universal cf-root. Root was working. But I lost WIFI access. Wifi does not start anymore.
To fix this, I tried unrooting the phone from the menu after pressing Vol Up + Home + Power. It told phone was unrooted. But wifi was not working. I again went back to CWM menu to Root it back.
No matter what I do, now I am unable to get Root back. The menu shows I'm rooted.
But when I go and start a priviledged application, I get an error:
Sample error
Code:
CWM Manager needs SuperUser access to function! If you have SU installed, make sure CWM Manager is not blocked, then reboot and try again.
I tried flashing universal cf-root again but unable to get root access!

Now my phone is messed up by various trials of installing universal cf-root by amit. To return back to a stock kernel, is repartitioning required?
A noob question. Is repartitioning done using a latona pit file? I remember using one when I had switched from froyo to GB.

OK. I did a repartition using latona.pit file, then installed XXKPE, then installed XXLE4 on top of it. I used it for a day and also installed many apps. Now is it OK if i flash bam kernel on top of it? I had read somewhere that bam kernel should only be installed on a fresh stock ROM on its first reboot after flashing. Is it true? or do I have to repeat all the steps XXKPE -> XXLE4 -> bam kernel

Kernel Version:[email protected]#1
Build Number:GINGERBREAD.DDLF2
I followed the below guide
androidadvices-com/root-samsung-galaxy-sl-i9003-gingerbread-ddkp3-firmware/ (please replace '-' with dot)
Now after rooting my wifi is not working when i switch it on its shows error
To check whether my phone is properly rooted or not (as this my first experience) i used the app "root check basic" which says "Sorry, this device does not have proper root access" .
Ultimately in order to run my wifi back i reset my phone and wiped data but still the wifi is not working !

dude. flashing from normal GB to value pack firmware will have wifi error if you rooted with old cfroot kernel. as current only bam kernel is using the value pack source code. so bam kernel is the one.

[Q] What is the safest way to Wipe/Factory Reset but still retain Stock Recovery?

I want to give my brother my Singapore XSP 7.7, one benefit of XSP is OTA upgrades in the event of a future Jelly Bean release. Technically he is not up to the jumping through hoops that most of us take for granted as part and parcel of Android ownership.
I understand that there are considerable and probably unacceptable risks involved in performing a factory reset via either the device itself or via the Android Stock Recovery.
The preferred method seems to be Root/CWM/Wipe.
The problem with this as I understand it, is that OTA will not complete if a custom Recovery is detected.
Is it possible to revert to Android Stock Recovery once CWM has been flashed?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yes, it is possible.
If I have time tomorrow I'll whip up a flashable zip to flash android stock recovery from CWM. I can only test on my P6810, but should only need to check the updater-script for the correct partition Dev/block for P6800 model.
I have done this for my SGS 3, so method is proven.
Which model?

NEVER tick re-partition unless you have a correct PIT file. Many Samsung Users that have no idea have bricked their devices this way........
The OP had never indicated he wanted to also lose root, so using Odin will certainly do that.........

Although untested on my device (P6810), this should work for P6800. After flash, reboot recovery to see the change.
If you want to remove root, SuperUser app & BusyBox - flash the Uninstaller immediately BEFORE the stock recovery.
This process will take just a couple of seconds
You can test with this excellent app: Root Validator
No problem, sometimes it's nice to go that extra step when (trying) to be helpful
Let us know how you went.
Cheers,
UITA
SU-BusyBox_Uninstaller.zip
CWM_P6800_Stock_Recovery.zip
.
I live in London and my brother in Dublin so my ability to help him troubleshoot is restricted.
My intention is to give him as trouble free an experience as possible. To that end then removing Root is probably prudent. So, thank you again.

In preparation, I decided to re-flash with the stock ROM so as to have the o/s like new. I used Mobile Odin Pro for this.
It was beyond my expectation but Mobile Odin Pro also reverted the Recovery to Stock 3e. Leaving just the UnRoot to be done. There are a few Root dependent apps that I want to check out beforehand.
I have archived your files and this will allow me greater freedom for future mods. Not just for my brother's 7.7 but also my own.
The fact that I can change to CWM Recovery and also obtain Root and then return to Stock is very liberating.
Thanks for the heads up on Root Validator.
