Hi All,
I'm a noob to this forum, so apologies for askign silly questions.
I have mutiple problems with my HTC Desire, and HTC aren't very helpful.
I started getting a Wi-Fi error after updating some software about a week ago. If i try turning on the Wi-Fi I just get 'error'.
My computer (Windows Vista 32) also will not recognise the phone. When I plug it in a get an error message from windows.
I thought my phone was rooted as i updated it to 2.2 about 2 months ago, but after reading a post in this forum, I don't have the superuser application on my phone. Does this mean it's not rooted.
Is it possible to create a goldcard to flash the phone if i can't connect the phone to the computer.
I tried putting a ROM on the sd card last night, going into recovery mode, wiping the data and then installing the update.zip but this wouldn't work.
HTC have told me that it's not fixable and should just return the phone to them for repair. Only problem is, the phone is outside of the warranty.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello, mates!
Today I've made hard reset. After that my phone stopped recognizing any sim-cards. It writes that sim card isn't inserted. I've tried 3 sim cards without any success. All of this sim-cards work just fine in another phone.
I've already tried to do one more hard reset. And I've already tried to take sim card from the phone and boot it without card. It wasn't helpful.
Have you got any ideas?
Sim module is connected to the maniboard with the help of flex cable. It may be partiarlly dissconected.
I've already checked it twice... It's conected, I'm sure.
p.s.: flashlight is working great.
Have you tried to reflash rom?
No, I haven't. I tried to download 7.0.7389 ROM that you've uploaded, but I still can't download it.
Can you give me some advice where can I get 7008 or earlier build, or re-upload 7389 to another file srver?
I found many ROMs for other HTC devices, but not for "7 PRO".

Ok, downloading it. But do you have any links to 7008 or earlier builds? I don't want to lose jailbreak...
Unfortunately, for HTC 7 PRO there are no older build available.
oops... RUU updater says that it can't connect to device, code 260.
And I unable to unlock it through Chevron WP7. It says that my device probably PIN-locked or Zune is switched off. Both are turned on.
I tried to do soft & hard reset my phone. And I tried to reboot PC. Hopefully that problem due to using Windows 7 through Virtual machine. I use Mac OS...
Tomorrow I will be able to test it at work, on a real PC with Win 7. I hope it would be a solution.
You can switch HTC 7 PRO to bootloader manualy, connect to PC, then run the exe ROM
Ok, I'm in SPL now, but when I mount it to PC there is no driver and there is sign at the white strip "Serial". I suppose that it should be changed to "USB" when I connect device to PC. But it is doesn't occur.
Got it. Trying to update.
Strange behaviour. I updated the device to 7389. I unable to update it through Zune to 7390 - no update available.
Upd: connected device to Win 7 notebook, installed Zune, and here was an update to 7390.
But the most terrible thing that my sim-card still can't be recognized...
Hello,
Not sure if anyone has had this issue or not.
I used the galaxy nexus toolkit 7 to unlock my bootloader so that I could install the jellybean update, which seems to be working great. My problem now is that after unlocking and rebooting the phone, windows 7 found the phone as new hardware, shows up as just galaxy nexus in device manager, and the toolkit won't detect the phone in adb mode, even though auto run pops up and I can still copy files to it.
I need the toolkit so I can restore this .bak file of all my apps back to the phone. Unless there's another way to open this .bak file? I suspect that gnex toolkit won't see the phone because I can't choose jellybean from the build list?
Help is appreciated.
Figured it out
Sorry guys,
USB debugging got turned off when I installed jellybean. Now that it's on, the toolkit detects it, and the restore is working.
not so simple for me
I turned on USB debugging, and Toolkit appears to do its thing. I even get the screen asking me for a password. Android tells me that it's starting to restore the backup, then immediately says that the backup ended. Nothing changes: no apps, no settings. help!
Ok, so I may have brickt my phone!
Basically I was trying to install Android to get rid of my crappy windows OS. I formatted my card incorrectly instead of FAT32, to FATxl or something, then installed Android on there and used the HD2 Toolkit to install MAGLDR. Upon restarting my phone all I get is the HTC white screen of death. I can get into the USB bootloader thing where I can use my HD2 Toolkit through USB on my computer, but aside from that I can't do anything else.
Did I brick my phone? Is there anything I can do to save it?
Thanks
Hi, I have a HTC EVO Shift , I have not used in about 2 years I thought it was no longer rooted so I reactivated it and updated the software the other day. it is now caught in a boot loop looking for PG06DIAG.zip & PG06IMG.zip. I found PG06IMG.zip, placed on my SD card and it loads that part fine. I have read every old post on here about this phone, and have not been able to solve my problem. USB DEBUGGING is not on and I don't see a way of connecting to my laptop. does anyone know where i can locate PG06DIAG.zip
have you tried using google ?
