Hello so I tried to put genesis ics rom on g2x and followed instructions, now its stuck on his rom lg logo(meaning it shows lg logo, then shows custom logo) and I cant get into CWM either, any direction would help
What steps did you take because if the you followed the steps, it would boot.
Also, when you say you can't get into cwm, what does it say/do?
Does it show some grip reaper?

So after hours of being up all night, I fixed it.....I was sooooo happy I was able to get CMW Recovery loaded on there through CMD prompt but at 1st it was gone cause I didt know that ROM manager put a fake recovery on there, so did it manually and put a new rom on sd card and now it works back to 2.3.4 stock rooted, but thanks for responses all

hello, i think i broke the phone... I recently was trying to install a ROM with the ROM Manager.. i did the flash and did the install from the SDCard ... selected the backup current rom option and proceeded.. it look like it backed up everything and was installing the ROM.. once it rebooted, the phone just keeps rebooting.. it shows the LG logo and then goes to the Verizon logo... and it re-starts again and it keeps cycling on that.. PLEAS HELP!!

So I think I can give you a clearer answer.
Boot into the bootloader. Steps to do so, according to a quick peek via Google, are to hold SEND and MENU while powering up the phone. (My phone is different). From the bootloader, you should be able to select Recovery. From there, you should be able to restore from the Nandroid backup you took. For other options, such as Fastboot, see the link in the thread I referenced.
i have rooted my g2x several time but after i shut if off to charge at night i tuirned it on and it went straight to the cwm recovery screen i wiped it and restarted it and it went right back to it i flashed several other roms and when i went to reboot it it still rebooted to recovery screen i formated everything i new of what am i doing wrong. i had a stable rom in it and it was working for like 3 weeks before this happened . I hope someone can help me on this i love my phone and dont want to lose it. My computer is running on windows 7 i have tried these

I don't exactly know how to fix your problem, but to shine some light, your not bricked. If u were, u wouldn't be able to access anything

Use this to put cwm and then flash the rom you like.
If phone still boots into recovery you may have a stuck vol- button.

i cant get into recoveery now im stuck in it relaoding as i tried to flash the recovery again and its stuck
try and flash again, if it doesn't stick, then try again. If it gives you an error report the error. Try what mansa_noob posted, it usually works for everyone, it fixes everything (partition and issues) and then flashes the recovery for you.

I guess he got a new phone so he tried to give the Optimus V to his son but he did a factory reset from the settings menu you. No the phone won't do anything. Try to power it on but it just shows the first LG logo then off again. If I plug the phone in CWM comes up but I've tried installing a new rom but it winds up doing the same thing. Also I can't get it to show up in adb or fastboot.

I searched everywhere on this forum and found somewhat similar problems but none as d\ifficult as mine. I have a Tmobile htc mytouch 4g slide and I attempted to root it tonight when I got kinda stuck. I was using MyTouch_4G_Slide_All-In-One_Kit_V1.0 by Hasoon 2000. I got CWM v 5.2.0.7 installed and attempted to install cyanogenmod from my sd card while in recovery mode. It installed successfully but when i restarted it got stuck on the boot up screen (I guess its also called the splashscreen). In order to get back to recovery mode i had to pull the battery. I tried formatting from the CWM menu in recovery and then re installed cyanogen but the same thing happened again. Then one of my family members came in and clicked on the install stock recovery button to see if that would help. So now I have stock recovery installed but also installed the not working cyanopgenmod. Now I cant get my computer to recognize my device to re install CWM. This is my first time rooting a device and I have no experience with development so please be patient with me. My computer recognizes it when i first enter recovery mode but then it says it was unplugged and my phone shows a picture of a phone with a red triangle and exclamation point. I am worried there is nothing i can do since doing a factory reset just results in a frozen splashscreen and my computer wont recognize it and i cant get in to recovery mode to install a different rom. Any help would be much appreciated
I recently installed custom rom on my phone then i downloaded twrp recovery manager or maybe it was rom installer in my android . Through one of those apps i installed custom boot screen then I decided to change it after few reboots because it was taking longer then the default boot screen so i deleted thought it would go back to default boot screen automatically so to check i restarted my device and phone got stuck at start up screen. I was trying to get my recovery back which wasnt working so i could install custom rom now the phone is stuck at start up and recovery doesnt work already what should i do to fix this epic problem i really dont want to lose my phone over custom roms lol ? Help would be much appreciated .
