Hi devs
I create several home screens that I want to share with you but I have not allowed to take screenshot because I am not root ( and I don't want ).
I try several Apps on Market to take screenshot without root but no one run on HTC Sensation ( Android 4 ) no root.
Is there any alternative way or confirmed running apps to do screenshot ( no root )

the HTC itself has standard screenshot feature
power + home button screen would do
if that still didnt worked
ICS itself has default screenshot feature too
power + volume down button (need to hold both for few seconds)

REQUIREMENT:
Rooted device
Delete 'Facebook for HTC Sense' app - system/app/HtcFacebook.apk (com.htc.socialnetwork.facebook)
Unfortunately you cannot use this MOD at same time, but it is possible to use 'Facebook for Android'.
Check your setting (Setting>Applications>Management applications>Unknown sources)
HOW TO INSTALL:
Download MOD
chacha35.apk (2.3.5 ROM)
chacha.apk (2.3.0~2.3.4 ROM)
Install
Press Facebook button
Assign apps
TIP:
You can assign two different apps.(short-press and long-press)
CHANGE SETTINGS OF FAKEBOOK:
Setting>Applications>Manage applications>차차키변경(FakeBook)>Clear data
UPDATE:
2011-10-26: Add Voice run and Flash, Remove screen lock (for 2.3.0~2.3.4)
2011-10-25: Add Voice run and Flash (for 2.3.5)
2011-10-18: Add Fakebook for 2.3.5

Hmm, i installed the 2.3.5-Version.
But if i press the Facebook-Button once, the currently active application gets force-closed. If i long-press the button, the phone makes a quick-restart.
anyone have an idea, what i did wrong?

What rom are you using - question mark at the end is required. Not working on CM buid. Just found out. I'm on the subway. Trying to take over the world).

Stock 1.52 with root
I set the key-value back to 117 and now i don't have the force-closes anymore, but neither does come a menu up, to set the keys.

After install a new rom version fakebook runs perfectly

It doesnt work for me on super osr i'm afraid - although the fb button doesnt work at all on this rom

Do you know how to revert to original ChaCha facebook app? As long as I know the original HTC Facebook app make the button blinking when you receive a facebook message.

You just Uninistall the fakebook program !!!
hey guys, i've searched like crazy everywhere and googled. i manually installed the official jellybean app using the aokp and gapps, now the integrated screenshot function is gone. i've tried everything to no avail. how can i get it back?

Press the power button and the volume down button for a few seconds,,,,,,and it takes a screenshot.
The softkey was removed from the navigation bar in the builds , but still works if you do what i said ,
Hope that helps..
Try also pressing power key for 3 seconds or so and see the menu if it contains screenshot option or no
Also try setting in aokp if you can change one of softkeys to screenshot again

It wasn't removed from aokp because that button never existed in aosp. The screen shot button is part of touch wiz. As others have said just use the native android method of pressing and holding power and vol simultaneously for about one second.

In GB there are screenshot function that you can take screenshot with some button combination like : Power + Home
But after I have updated to the stock ICS , I cant do it anymore now.
I have tried different combinations : Vol Down + Power , Home + Power . But they are not working.
I have done research , the combination " Vol Down + Power" works for Galaxy S II .
Just wondering that have anyone tried this combination and took a screenshot in SGR ??
Or maybe my ICS is the leaked version so its not working ??

Man , maybe my english is bad . But I said I have tried all of those combinations and they are not working for me. Even Power + Home .
Also I said that I have done research on it , on SG2 its vol down + power but its still not working . I hope you really read what i have said and hope you understand my need to create this thread ....
( I will give you a thanks anyway. 700th thanks is from me )

Dude dont press home button n power key simultaneously press both the buttons at the same time n wait for two sec. Try it again n again first i was also facing similar problem den i got.. it even i m on leaked!!

For me, a method that always works is pressing home and after that press power quickly and wait 2 seconds.

Hello friends, I have in my galaxy tab 2 7.0 (P3100) version of CyanogenMod nightly 10 and the screenshot in this rom is not working .. I'm from various forums such as minecraftforum, and also create textures that need screenshots ..
- This topic is aimed at both developers of cyanogen and one who has the same problem ..
I did not install the 10.1 per cyanogen do not like the look of it, we will wait until the team google android release a future version ..

Can you explain that? I am Brazilian and barely understand english =\
i'm using n7000, n cyanogen 10, hopefully this can help u.
1. go to settings
2. go to system
3. go to power menu, n select screenshot,
4. if u want to take screenshot, the menu will come out, when you hold your power button.

I am used to using a custom ROM with a screenshot utility built into the power button menu. I no longer have this, so I am looking for a way to take screenshots. I know there are a whole lot of screenshot utilities in the play store, and i have tried a few.
they were no very good...

however newly added is native screen recording,
done either with PC using command
