okey guys here is the problem what i've got.
well about an hour ago i installed quicksshd to my DHD and everything worked fine for 30mins, after that nothing that requires root doesn't open.. just popup message comes up and tell superuser granted access to this application, this happens about 10 times. i've uninstalled quicksshd but still su grants it rights. I could use some help.

no solution for this?
I got a shiny new bluetooth keyboard for use with my Android phone.
The right shift button actually launches the browser instead of acting like a shift button, which is very inconvenient, so I edited /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl and /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl to change the mapping. But now it doesn't work at all (it still connects fine, and sends key stroke messages/events, but nothing shows up on screen). I must have wrecked something, but I can't find any problems with those files.
I have a little app that simply displays the information from keystrokes, and it now reports that the keyCode is KEYCODE_UNKNOWN for every key I press, but the scanCode appears to be correct.
Anybody have any ideas? Do you think I could find an error in the system log?
Thanks in advance.

I noticed a "No input device configuration file found for device". But why not?
Maybe I'll check file permissions or something...
And why is it looking for /system/usr/keychars/Generic.kcm when I'm editing /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl ???

Yup, turns out the file permissions got set to 600 instead of the preferred 644. Once I fixed that everything works now.
Thanks for all your help.
If anyone who bought the latest Humble Bundle and has managed to run the Solar 2 game, what ROM are you running?
I'm on CM10.1 and the game just never starts.
For anyone else interested, here is a link to it in the Google Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.murudai.Solar2
There is also a free demo.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk HD
Using stock ROM. I got the Humble Bundle as well.
The game works without problems.
Just chiming in
Not working on my SGS3 (I9300) either running CM10.1 nightly (2013/02/24)
The rest of the games seem to be running fine.
I'll update my rom and update this.
Edit: Latest nightly - no difference (I do like the new SuperUser though)

Balls
Looks like its a CM10.1 compatibility error, then.

Hi,
I am having a problem on my Odroid XU3 running Lineage OS 14.1 and kernel 3.10.9. The problem is that my TCP buffers are getting inundated by socket spam all as a result of android.process.media (I think).
The TCP buffer page limit is being exceeded as can be seen by 24599 > 22182
Code:
odroidxu3:/proc/net # cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_mem
11091 14788 22182
Code:
odroidxu3:/proc/net # cat /proc/net/sockstat
sockets: used 3731
TCP: inuse 1 orphan 18 tw 0 alloc 3419 mem 24599
UDP: inuse 1 mem 1
UDPLITE: inuse 0
RAW: inuse 0
FRAG: inuse 0 memory 0
Using
Code:
ss -stap
I can see that there is a very large number of sockets being opened by d.process.media (PID 4166), which ps tells me is android.process.media. Once I kill the process the socket use in sockstat drops to a normal rate.
Code:
odroidxu3:/ # cat /proc/net/sockstat
sockets: used 283
TCP: inuse 1 orphan 0 tw 28 alloc 9 mem 4
UDP: inuse 1 mem 0
UDPLITE: inuse 0
RAW: inuse 0
FRAG: inuse 0 memory 0
Now the problem is that without that process basics like the playstore don't work. Upon reopening the playstore the media process starts up again, flooding my buffers and killing all TCP traffic. I am just after any help as I am a terrible user space debugger and don't really know where to go from here to find the issue. All googling for this error turns up the usual error people face with "android.process.media has stopped".
Cheers
I'm on Android 10 with my Pixel3 and in the last few days it gets randomly hot. Battery is wasted as a consequence.
I leave it on the table for like 40 minutes when I pull it up I feel it's hot in some specific area.
Tipically it's hot in the central area just at bottom of the fingerprint sensor.
I noticed a high battery consumption caused by "carrier services".
I opened logcat and found it's flooded by carrier services logs errors (see attachment).
There are so many errors.

Are you experiencing the same?
Way to fix this?
i see my phone too gets hot often but i dont see carrier services that is causing it. All the apps for me are the regular ones that i use.
This is something that i experienced in the beta builds too but mostly when i was using the camera. Hoping between (HDR+/ & night sight). Gladly the warning message of phone overheating always flashed so that i could turn it off in time.
