I'm moving from a Nexus One to the Inspire and I'm missing my Picasa web albums in the Gallery app.
I've looked in the account options to setup a sync and Picasa is oddly missing as an option.
Any work around I'm not seeing?

Yeah, sign up at htcsense.com and download the Picasa viewer.
Actually I had the same problem but resolved it by downloading the 3d Gallery from the Android market. Once I did this it put back the option to Sync Picasa in the Accounts Sync area for Google.
You may have to reboot the phone for it to work properly.
Just my 2 cents..

Worked for me, thank you! I did have to reboot, BTW.
I downloaded the sense Picasa plugin and had my albums synced, but when I went back again it wasn't syncing and nothing showed up.
I had the option to sync in account setting, buti downloaded gallery 3d anyway and it added a second picasa sync option but still won't work even after reboot.
Does anyone have another idea?
Thanks

I know it is probably considered a workaround but I got sick of the gallery apps altogether a while ago and started using justpictures. Picasa, facebook, etc, plus defined folders. Works very well and doesn't kill the resolution like some stock gallery apk's.

It's never my first option to use apps from the market as a replacement, but this one solves my issue....
Thanks for the idea, I'm glad I can get to my Picasa album now!!

Does this work with google apps accounts that have been transitioned? I downloaded it, have the sync option in account, but whenever I go into the gallery it says I need to add an account. Anyone get this working?
PS - I am on Revolution 3.0
Hello,
since I have ICS on my Nexus S I don't see all of my Picassa albums in the Gallery App.
On Gingerbread the App shows all available online albums.
On ICS I only see the public ones. The private, only shared by link, are not listed anymore. Any idea how to fix that?
thanks!
update:
I don't know why. I've tried to trigger the account but it didn't helped.
Suddenly. Out of nothing it started to show me all albums.
Well. Sorry for interrupting you
Coming from the Galaxy Nexus where the gallery displayed all of my picasa images, I can't figure out how to do the same with the One X! There's an option to view Picasa images but it doesn't find any of my albums. Does anyone know how to add picasa images to the gallery? Thanks.
Anybody else have this issue with a google apps account!?! Its really frustrating!
Not sure what you are talking about, click onGallery,/Albums/should be a list Facebook, Fickr, Media Servers, dropbox and Picasa web albums, click on the Picasa web albums and they should display, at least mine does. Not sure if you want them to show up in Gallery? Would think that they have to be on your phone storage?
When I go to Picasa in the gallery it doesn't show any of my albums (and yes, they're public albums). I think it might be an issue with Google apps. Can someone else with google apps please let me know if their images are showing?!
I believe you have to change your sync/account settings to sync your picassa...
Settings->Accounts & Sync->Click on your google account->Make sure Google-Photos and Picasa Web Albums are selected...

Both are selected. It just says "The user has no albums to display." I'm getting very frustrated!

Have you tried clearing Gallery app data and re-syncing?
Yep just tried it and it was no help. Can someone else who uses google apps with their picasa account let me known if theirs is working? Thanks.
Anybody show skydive in there list of accounts to sync with? as shown here

Does anyone who uses a Google Apps account (not regular GMail) with their Picasa Web Albums been able to view their albums in the gallery? I have a feeling there is a issue with Google Apps accounts where regular GMail accounts seem to work fine.

I doubt very much GApps will work. I don't have an account myself, so I can't verify, but I've seen numerous issues in the past with GApps and Android. If you've got GApps for Business (I don't know about the other plans), then you've got phone support with Google. Call them up and see what they say.

It's not an issue with Android as it worked perfectly with the Galaxy Nexus...it's an issue with the Sense gallery app. Can someone else with a Picasa Web Album account associated with Google Apps let me know if it works for them? Thanks.
Somebody please help me!!! One of the main perks of Android is the ability to view my Picasa images on my mobile device! Can someone who uses a Google Apps account with picasa please let me know if they are having the same issues!? Is there another gallery app in the play store that I could use instead that works with the built in camera as well as picasa?!

Maybe try installing the stock ICS gallery app.

Just tried installing Gallery ICS from the Play Store and there isn't even an option for Picasa. Also when you go to the Camera from the app the video option is gone. The app is no good.
When I tap on Albums in the top left corner, I get a drop down menu that has Picasa listed.

Me too...then when I click Picasa it says "The user has no albums to display" even though I have about 50 publicly visible albums on my account. Is your Picasa account associated with a Google Apps or a regular GMail account b/c I think it might be an issue with Google Apps accounts.
After doing some more research is seems that EVERY SINGLE HTC GALLERY APP has this problem with Google Apps accounts. The HTC Gallery simply doesn't work with Picasa accounts that are associated with Google Apps. This is a pain in the ass.
You might be right sir...mine is associated with my gmail account!

I have a Google Apps account and mine doesn't work either. Quite annoying!!
I'm running Paranoid Android (CM10 based) and my picasa web albums weren't showing in my gallery so I went into my account settings and there's no longer an option to sync picasa web albums! What gives?
Next time you flash use GAAPS that include a Gallery with Picasa Sync.
Formula84 has put together a nice JB JRO030 package for the Galaxy Nexus which also works for us. You can find it HERE and the original thread HERE.
Edit: You will lose some of the camera functions as stated in the OP of the thread I linked so read up before flashing.
Hopefully that works for you but I cannot explain why this happened.
Stock GT-N8013, 4.1.2
All of a sudden my gallery app (the stock android gallery) has quit displaying any of my Picassa albums-even auto back-up. I did nothing. LOL PlayStore upgraded a bunch of apps, & I tried removing the upgrade to Google+ as was suggested on another thread somewhere...but that didn't work either. Anyone have any ideas as to why this might have happened? Strange thing is that I can click on one of the broken link icons & a photo will eventually load, but once I close it, it's gone again.
