Hey guys, I stumbled accross the Jelly Bean Google Play Music app for Rooted Devices (ONLY) when i was looking for a better widget for the Google Play Music app as the 4x1 looks ugly and is missing a ton of features IMHO :highfive:
Any ways here is a screen shot below:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The UI has not changed much [UGLY]
The widget has slightly been changed:
Black background, album cover, song, band, thumbs up, play and next buttons.
How to Install?
VERY IMPORTANT: uninstall the previous version, before installing Jelly Bean Google play music2.apk or installation will fail.
Download: update - NO MORE 4SHARED LINKS from me

Nice thanks for this. It has a better layout and a much better widget (although still not the greatest but better than before).

Upgraded to CleanROM DE 4.1 today and used the opportunity to install this JB version. Works well. UI is certainly a bit better than the stock version, especially the upgraded widget.
Thank you for bringing this here.

Edit: Fixing permissions did it. Thanks

Trying to get an idea of interest in a theme like this.
Inspiration came from Bezerker.
Themed out in all red with out the over kill on the eyes.
All icons are left original Droid X colors.
Many Thanks are due and will come if I decide to release!
Also, I'm in need of someone who could help me with text color...
I'm trying to have white text against the dark buttons.
Ok, I'm putting this link up for the those who'd like to test...There shouldn't be any issues besides the buttons which I'm working on. I haven't themed ADW yet...that'll happen tonight if i can get to it. Also this is from a free Mediafire account so it might be limited. If you don't get a copy and want one PM me.
Download -- CM6 Test 8
Droid X Themed LauncherPro v0.7.0.4
Install: In recovery, system mounted -- adb push SCM-LauncherPro.apk /system/app/
I've pretty much already done this and it's complete, but the only real issues that remain are fixing the 'press' color for the pc sync app on the phone and, like in your screenshot, removing the black horizontal lines from buttons. I just don't feel like releasing it unfinished
by icons, do you mean browser phone, etc? if so, that is awesome.
if you need a tester or two to provode feedback, im available.

Actually, I have to correct myself. This IS the best theme I've ever used.
The only real "problem" is dark text, and those little lines shown I'm that last pic of the Calender.
Good work. My suggestion to you is to put a donate link when this is formally released.

-this will not update from the market. But I will try to keep it up to date as Google updates it.

made another one for the x-wing. My guess is it looks better in "daytime" mode. the nighttime color scheme of navigation doesn't contrast with it too well.
EDIT: added a daytime screenshot and I gotta be honest, I don't think I like the X-Wing as much as some of the others for my chevron. I hope I'm being my own worst critic

BTW, Does anybody have or seen a picture for a top view of a GMC Sierra pickup truck by chance (or something similar)? It's what I drive and I'd think I'd like to make one with that and I really don't want to climb on top of my garage to take a picture

The real widget is from the Moto Atrix HD. It's here on XDA somewhere.."Atrix HD Widgets".. Main caveat of running it is you have to run the launcher that comes with it. I haven't tried it on the S3 yet to see if it will work, as a stock launcher in any form is a no-go for me.
No, One More Clock widget is the "real" widget and has been out for quite some time; been using it for over a year. Motorola "adopted" this widget and implemented a few changes and enhancements. You don't need to be on a specific launcher and it even works with Android versions down to 1.6.

It's OK if you like the ultra sparse look, but it doesn't swype anywhere near as well as Swype and it doesn't predict anywhere close to Swiftkey. Once swiftkey rolls out their swyping version soon, there will be no competition.

Now, wondering if it is possible to get the google voice app from the 4.2 (i know getting a bit greedy here)
Actually, I suggest you check out Keymonk Keyboard (free and paid versions available). Unlike Swype, it has two-finger swiping functionality, I find it much faster to use than regular Swype.

Issues which can not be fixed
- Sometimes clicking the notification text the app doesn't launch for a few seconds
- Notifications will not disappear from your notification bar as this is not something that can be done unless you are on 4.3. However if you open the an app the floating notification for that app will automatically close.
My phone has started reading to me
If you're on a Samsung device see here for a variety of possible fixes (This is a Samsung bug) - https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=23105
If you're not then ensure TalkBack is disabled, preferably uninstall/freeze it if you don't use it
I'll be posting regular progress updates to the thread but for those who want to follow elsewhere I'll also be posting progress updates to Twitter, G+ and Facebook.
You bet it would!
Understandably not everyone will have paranoid installed on their device to get the full experience, so I think there's a real place for this functionality as a stand alone app as well.
