As most of you know I created and maintain OpenDesire, that is my main ROM and timemuncher, I try to keep ROMs as close to the original source as possible whilst adding features and mods without making compromises, I don't add UI modifications/themes/bloatware.
Requirements
You MUST have your Desire rooted in order to use this ROM, I like to try and help all users but I will not be expanding further on this. (use search if you really need help)

Installation
Ensure you have a custom recovery image installed
Download the zip file from the link below and copy it to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card

YOU MUST USE THE 5.X RADIO

Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.

Its taken from the Honk Kong ROM, but I have looked at it and it is official.

we all take your word for it and we thank you but this will not be the release we will officially receive as this is still a test version meaning it's a work in progress, although it must be pretty close to release
are bugs fixed from djdroid's rom, such as missing htc wallpapers?

A2SD will require mods to the boot.img, busybox installing and scripts placing in init.d
I don't really want to maintain this ROM and do things like this unless there is enough interest.

How so? /system is read only and not writeable anyway so it doesn't matter regardless, keeping it deodex'd uses less ram which is better imo.

This rom is build on WWE 2.10.405.2 and its almost stock except some changes on top:
- rooted
- busybox
- deodexed
- zipaligned
- task kill tweak
- old but good a2sd with dalvik cache on sd

better memory management forced by system to kill inactive apps so no task manager app is needed
Some mirrors to such sites such as Mediafire, Rapidshare that don't force waits, supports RESUMING a d/l would be greatly appreciated. Hotfile has a way of timing out midway through a d/l and then you can't resume. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm looking for a rooted stock that is deo-dexed and this is it.

Hmmm, this sounds almost exactly like Pinkolins ROM which maturates some time now. So what's the difference of your ROM that makes it worth trying?
I'd say you must be looking for something in a ROM, specific to your needs. Try comparing CHANGE LOGS between the 2 ROMs and you'll see but it all comes down to personal preference, IMHO.
EDIT: I forgot to ask, AdFree works OK in this ROM?

Seraphic stock-rooted Gingerbread

Built using Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.50.405.2 release ROM.
I've cooked this rom in order to get the closest to stock release rom I could while still maintaining root access.
This rom has the following applied to it:
* Rooted
* Zipaligned
Everything else remains as standard. This isn't deodex'd and doesn't have /data/app enabled (as I said, closest to stock was intended here)
I recommend a full wipe, dalvik cache wipe, etc before flashing.
Please flash using recovery.
Disclaimer: the usual really- don't come crying to me if you brick your device!
I've baked another rom with a few other minor additions (but still maintaining as-stock-as-possible) - please see 2nd post below for details.

If the stock Rom doesn't have it then neither will this I'm afraid.
the old stock froyo one had a chinese handwriting capability so i thouhght gingerbread had it too.is there anyway to add it in this rom?or via apk?

Noobish question: what disabling data/app actually does?
@kenzo901 - because I've never used it unfortunately I don't really know enough about it, there's probably an IME or something from the market you could install.
@uros0104 - it allows apps to be installed in a partition outside of the system partition when cooking the rom, basically it allows flexibility and allows the end-user to remove any apps installed in this way.
@kenzo901 - actually there's chinese text input settings in settings > language and keyboard > touch input > Chinese text input. Is that not what you're looking for?

If you go into 'International Keyboard option and scroll to the bottom, can you enable the correct language entry there?

Wondering how to go about removing some more aps from the rom
I dont use Sprint TV, farcebook, and some other stuff,
is it enough to just remove the apk's from the zipped rom, or is there a file that calls for the apk's and then errors out,
im comming from winblows and have 0 android IQ.
also what ap do you guys recomend for re sighning the zip file.

Download titanium backup and use it to delete apps. Or just click menu while in all applications and you will see button to delete apps listed

Try the zip package i just added to the op. Just unpack it somewhere and run the a kitchen!.exe
up and running now, first impression looks good. can't wait for full funcionality.

Nice work mate. In the kitchen I think you could add options to add build.prop tweaks where we individually choose tweaks and same with init.d tweaks. Also other mods you make.

Basically it's a windows program that gives you the option to choose what you want I'm your rom and what you don't want. Just download it and find out. That's how I learned

I quited on aroma installer. The hard drive where aroma installer was on is dead. I think im gonna buy a new one today. I will update MIUI to 2.9.7 when it's out.

stock rom and root
@rubensolie/anyone who can help,
The wife has a galaxy mini, on stock GB, and i rooted the phone a couple of days ago using and update zip from xda.
Installed rammanager etc, and the phone is pretty fast and stable. I'm waiting (as everyone i think ) for the CMX project hopefully to deliver a stable rom, so i was thinking of going back to stock 2.2 JPU/S, and rooting to give a stable basis, getting fed up with reboots and other fc's at the moment.
Do i flash from odin through the kitchen, then root with SOC after, i take it i lose root privilages with the stock rom. How do you use SOC, never had to root, always came with rom from back in indroid days...... or can i find an update zip anywhere the same as the mini had?
