I just was seeing i9000 development thread and notice that they have a lot custom ics roms
is there anyway to port these roms to our i9003 and if someone have links or stuff to help me maybe i can port rom or 2 for our section

port...?? Are u serious...? Their phone, development, chipset every every everything is different. Porting ICS rom is not simple like porting an apk file.
I thought kkrraazzyy and rockyseenu ported their ROMs from i9000 ROMs.
Again, no doubt it's very tough and you need to be quite experienced to port these ROMs. Surely, not a project for a new person.

Ya same thing I want to say that porting a rom to a completely different phone is very tough job. You should know exactly what u want to develop & port.

i got this phone almost 3 months back and till now am waiting for an ics rom
So if there is any dev who can port an ics rom for this device then i think a lot of ace plus users will be really happy

I have been using GO Launcher EX along with its ICS theme.
It totally gives Ace Plus the ICS look without having to use any custom ROM.
Using go launcher and getting ics is in no way comparable to getting a real ics rom
I hope u do understand what i mean and encourage real developers to port ics roms for our devices
Definitely am waiting for a cm 7.2 or cm 10 port for the samsung galaxy ace plus GT-S7500

I doubt it'll be possible...i had the phone till yesterday...the closest rom to ics was the rom by team cooper which gave it the look,i tried porting ics roms but it just didnt happen...i got really pissed off with the phone and sold it yesterday...if u want u can still use the Alicritious rom by team cooper which kinda has an ics theme,i've changed the settings.apk file and added alotta worthy transitions for the phone...if ur interested in getting ics look use that rom,also pm me if ur looking for a better looking settings.apk i have a modified version which i was supposed to release in the next build but now since i dont have the phone there might not be a next version..

Indeed, Jelly Beam is above us so prepare your phones. Maybe now the Ace Plus will get its own thread and the ICS ROMs will blossom.
Keep in mind that the official update will (in most cases) unroot your phone.

I hope porting 4.3 was as easy as making a bread toast.
Well 4.2 is not yet 100% stable for our phone, despite of lots of hard work and efforts lots of persons. Till now i don't see any future of 4.3 for canvas 2........
This is a request to all the super awesome devs here on xda.
Can someone PLEASE make/port a custom JELLYBEAN rom(preferably with stock android or CM UI) for Samsung Galaxy S Duos(GT-S7562) ?
I and a lot of other users would be really grateful and it would be a great contribution and addition to the forum !

devs are actually working on Kitakat custom rom....which they are porting from ACE 2x ....

cm11 available but with out network
devs are working on it
but you can try another custom roms also based on 4.0.4
But they are on 4.0 not on 4.+
