[Q] Install apps in Settings - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have seen this topic a long time ago but can not seem to find it again. I've used the search but I'm not sure if I'm using the correct terms to find it. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!

Java for Nexus S

Is there any way to install Java on Nexus S? Or is it not possible at all? It seems like nobody mentioned it before. I was hoping to find a way to install Java because certain secure log in pages needs Java enabled to proceed. If not I have to always use a PC to log in and my phone feels useless. Pardon my yet another noob question.

Usenet Setup On Android

I have tried quite a bit of NZB Usenet applications for Android and have not been able to get them to work. I have followed a few tutorials and yet no luck.
Currently using NZBMonster (like the look)
http://www.appbrain.com/app/nzbmonster/org.nzbmonster
Would like to get some expert help with setting this up, I must be doing something wrong somewhere along the way. HELP!
Using the latest Sabnzbd on Windows 7. Not sure if it matters in setting these apps up but running Android 2.3.4 with the FI Gingerbread V3 ROM.
I think I have tried every NZB app on Android now. Still no luck.
BUMP? Anyone....help please!
Try nzbair. It has an easy setup via an online template and has always worked for me

Well that tutorial for that app would be nice if they second step didn't tell me to input a static IP. I can't get one of those, nor do I want one. I have done many other app setups that needs to use my network and access my system and didn't need to do it.
Any other ideas. I do thank you for the idea though

[Q] modify applications to other devices

I would like to ask whether there is some kind of program which I could modify apk application?
I have some application that only works on the tablet samsung, how to do and hear on other devices? Is it hard? What is the need for programs?
See this application, thanks
I second this, not for this specific app, but would definitely like to figure this out as I have a problem app as well.

I`m hoping it will be available in more marketplaces.

Somewhat relatedly, has something gone wrong with the official XDA app? Its push notifications stpped working a few months ago for me, and when I try to set them up now it says it can't connect. Anybody else having this problem, or should I just reinstall the app?
Have just searched and installed official XDA app within the UK:
As a long time user of XDA, it's great value at just 79p (£0.79)
Same here. Also everytime I open the app it asks if I want to receive push notifications. Doesn't matter what my settings are, it always asks when opening. And while we're at it, when is this app going to get a BADLY needed update?

Same for me. It got to the point where I just forgot push notifications came with this app lol.

Dammit... I guess it's a server-side issue then. For a long time, it was the only app I used the toast notifications for (I typically get several PMs every day now, and it was very handy to get a notification and preview of them without needing to check the website).
Oh well... anybody know who might be responsible for this, and could possible get it working again? Aside from lacking the notifications, the app is great.
The WP7 app was written by someone from http://www.pocketpc.ch/forum/ but I can't find any reference or app thread on that forum The only one thing I've found: official app is a special version of Board Express application, you may try Board Express forum: http://www.board-express.com/forum/index.php

Desktop aplication for removing apps in android

Hi there mates,
I remember once stumbling upon a desktop client that would connect to your android phone and let you from there uninstall apps and do some other things, the problem is I cant recall its name, all I can remember is I either saw and download it from Techspot or Lifehacker but now I am unable to find it.
By any chance someone else knows what I'm talking about?
Could it be your adb or your sdk

Yes these things can be done via command line with the adb but I'm sure a quick Google would find a GUI
