[Q] Favourite ROM? Poll inside!

Hy guys!
Hope i will not angry the mods with this thread.
With this thread i want to create a poll of the favorite ROMs for the Desire S.
It's by no means discriminatory, all developers are doing a great job and i really appreciate the entire community.
Just wanted to see from other users their opinion regarding the favorite ROMs (based on experience).
I have included 2 external polls : 1 for AOSP and 1 for Sense 3.5
The included ROMs for the poll are :

Hello, thanks for the input, just added BlissDroid and Oxygen ROM to the poll, you ca now express your feelings there
Below you can see the result after the first day of voting, i hope that more users will trow a vote in order to have a more exact status regarding the favourite roms of the Desire S community

Can you please stop spamming on every ROM thread on the development forum? It also stops me from voting cuz I find it very annoying.

There is no such thing as CM7.2 stable.. yet...

I personally prefer the ICS version from LC... but it's just me

my favorite rom for htc desire s proven:
for android aosp
-ZuluGen
-CM 7.1 stable
and android ICS (by testing)
-Virtuous Quadrant RC3
-ICS CM9 Alpha
-IceColdSandwich (now)

cyanogen all the way, installed miui for like 5 minutes, i thought i had an iphone so it freaked me out, and went back to cyanogen it has stability and performance like no other

I used every rom made so far. MIUI has always been the most stable.
So I go back to it after removing another rom.
Every rom has some bugs which drives me crazy.
I also dont like the iphone style but the other features of MIUI are awesome.
Just the notification bar toggles are even enough to choose it

tried searching...best non sense gingerbread rom

I know there have been many threads about this, but for some reason my search is not pulling up any answers....
Just a simple question,
What is the best/most stable non sense/sense stripped Gingerbread rom?
Please note, Im not asking about CM7, ASOP, or ICS roms as I know none are 100%.
I dont know why my search is not pulling up related threads, so what is the most stable and fastest non sense gingerbread rom? I though I remember reading Virtusous was awesome, but I cant even find that...
Guessing something is wrong with the search so can you guys give me a few choices with the links?

I thought it had sense, is there a version with sense stripped out?

There have been a few mods that say you can turn the sense off, but I have never tried as I love my sense and actually won't use a rom now unless it has Sense 3.5 as I like the features of that sense rendition better than 3.0.

Funny, I went through a massive search today to find the best non-sense GB rom. Sadly, HyperNonSense GB is no more and has been replaced with the ICS version. Two others, Beastmod and Senseless Extreme are hosted on multiupload, and that goddamn website seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
That being said, I'm back on Virtuous Inquisition, which is great, but I don't want to use ICS until custom roms are based on an official release.

I started to try out different ROMs and the "Knowledgeable Ones" said, there is no best one to point out other than trying every ROM. Man it's soooo true ! The best one for me may not even suit you. I HAVE tried every GB ROM out there and settled with "SENSEAY ROM removing the sense with No-Sense script" keeping the essential parts of sense like lockscreen but making it super smooth & i think as the development of GB ROMs are complete, further upgrade or assistance is no more needed and that's why developers are giving their time for ICS. You can use the search button for whole week looking for best ROM, but i think it will only make you more confused . Start with a ROM u like (Use no-sense script if u wanna get rid of sense), if u like it more, make a nandroid backup & try another one. U have to be the one to decide the "BEST ROM"

Use ARHD 3.6.13 and use the No-sense script. It's very speedy and great battery life to boot!

it is not speedy.... i went from arhd (gb) to arhd (ics) to virtuous inquisition (ics) and the peformance difference is night and day.. arhd even with the no sense script is definitely laggy compared to AOSP

so your using the GB version of Virtuous Inquisition? I can only find the ICS version... can you link me to it?

MIUI 2.2.3!!!!!

Would prefer the Coredroid 3.3 GB really stable and fast/smooth interface has a lot of tweaks also, tried others keeps FC on some application, cant remember which app but mostly the sense. Goodluck. Now im on DF ICS and im keeping my Coredroid 3.3 backup just in case i want to revert back.

I'm trying to do my friend a favor by downloading a costume ics rom on his pyramid since he doesn't really like his stock rom , so my question is what is the most stable and non bugs rom for ics you advice me to download ? thanks a lot for the help guys

Custom ROMs
Since your friend is not happy with the stock ROM, you can give Android Revolution HD a miss, since it is as close to stock as one can get. Though it is rock solid & very stable.
You can go through this brilliant thread to have a look at the various ROMs available, the sense-less ROMs in particular:

If you're looking for stability in general, I wouldn't go for sense 4 right now.
In the titles they have to advertise their stability, which isn't a really good sign IMO.

It depends if you want a stock look or a aosp look, I'm pretty sure for stock most people would recommend
this and for aosp it would be this or this the reason I didn't link you to cm9 or aokp based rom because they still have minor bugs which isn't technically 100% stable but if you don't mind those bugs and want a vanilla android feel get one of those.
P.s make sure you make a nandroid before flashing a rom.

thanks guys , it doesn't really matter for me if AOKP or sense i just wanna a nice fast stable rom who gives me what i need without problems

Then look no further than ARHD

ARHD is not wrong.
others you can try Ordriod.

The three most stable from my experiences are:
Arhd
Leedroid
Elegancia
(Ordroid is very close to getting there)

Most are stable unless they indicate beta!

Insert Coin is pretty good

I experimented with several ROM's including MikeHD OrDroid, Virtuious however for my preference and taste I Recommend LEEDroid Sensational 7.3.0 Many thanks to this fabulous developer!

Asianic v.2. Super stable, fast with every conceivable mod to choose from and great sound to boot.

I would say Virtuous Inquisition, never had any problems with it. OrDroid is almost there as well...

I've been running Ordroid 8.1.0 for a couple days now. It's pretty stable. It's crashed a couple times. Rebooted randomly once. But not much else if you're intested in sense 4.0. I might consider going back to Charmander and try that out for a longer period.

I've tried virtuous, its stable, however I'm liking beatsbygrogg its very stable too it has sence and virtuous is a sence less Rom , I get WiFi and hotspot. Its just a matter of personal taste. I think you should try out a few roms and see which one suits your own personal preference.
That's the fun part. Thank God for the developers to give us options, just try some and see what YOU prefer. Have fun.

I want to Install Sense 4.0 On my Device and I want Stock Sense 4.0 look(Not Themed Sense 4.0 look)

Pkmn has a few more tweaks but I haven't really tried them both side by side so I can't tell you which is best... Use the mod to flash multiple roms to test them quicker

if you used LeeDroid tweak on Sense 3.6 and liked it then i suggest you to use PkMn rom because they are developed by the same developer
PkMn is fixing WiFi tether at the moment, so i suggest you to wait awhile longer =)

Using both ordroid is very good and same with pkMn I'd reckon PKMN for newbies because its just so easy and the drop bar with all the settings is useful as
Ordroid is slightly faster but I have both and flash them week by week at times LOL Dwld both

Themes for Hypernonsense Roms?

Hi fellow XDA'ers. I have been searching for themes for Hypernonsense ICS Roms and can't seem to find any other then the black and white theme that rom comes with and the stock blue holo theme. So can any of u guys post links to good themes for Hypernonsense rom pls.
I loved theming on AOKP and MIUI, but the overall performance and battery life is not even close to satisfaction compared to HNS as per my usages..

I'm not sure you are able to use another themes (the same as in AOKP ROMs) because HyperNonsense is based on Sense. If you want ROM with lot of themes search AOKP based ROM.

Well I was already used AOKP and MIUI rom before but I keep coming back to HNS rom as this rom suits my daily usage. The point is are there any flashable themes for sense based roms?

Try this one, but I think you can only use statusbar mod because HNS hasn't got Rosie.
You can use every MOD/THEME posted in Themes and Apps section which is dedicated for Sense 3.6 because HNS is based on Sense 3.6 and should work.

Well is there any way to have the stock htc theme back on the Hypernonsense rom. I really wanna keep the rom but would like the original htc theme in all the applications and ui.

No. The original HTC theme IS Sense. Hypernonsense, by definition, deletes all Sense UI.

So suppose I want to theme the Hypernonsense Rom, I will have to pull the individual apk from the rom and manually theme every ui element? Can I extract aokp theme and replace the png in the stock Rom?
