you need root permissions to push apk, change its name and replace the previous google search apk...so no, yes, no...

Installed on paranoid keep getting a network error message whereas all google apps are working flawessly.
Error message also when trying to use voice search.

I just installed the famouse S-voice and I get network errore. after many search I found the problem. The server closed S-voice for other device. And i found a modified file but it doesn' t work perfectly.
Now you must download the original S-voice after do this you must move it on yur phone and go with root explorer or with an app like it and go:
/system/build.prop and modify: ro.product.device=galaxysl in ro.product.device=GT-I9300 and ro.product.model=GT-I9003 in ro.product.model=GT-I9300

Cheers

I found a modded s voice and it worked perfectly without changing the build.prop, but I forgot where did I find it
try this edited and signed APK http://www.mediafire.com/?fp04n29phdzeram
do not modify your build.prop as its said, will cause some issues, use the modified apk instead.
uninstall any previous version before trying to install this one.

Incorrect, I had it on my RAZR. All you have to do is install the app.I just pulled it from a synergy zip I had and made a test call and it worked. And I am in the latest cm10 nightly

Why would you want S-Voice its pretty much useless (not that it wasnt before either) on 4.1.1

Why don't you just use Google Now? It does everything SVoice does and more, plus it is actually responsive. If you must have SVoice then try pulling the apk from a stock rom.

Samsung Apps

Hi has anyone tried a App from Samsung Apps on Skyrocket? I tried Plants Vs Zombies but I got Invalid Device. Does GS2 Skyrocket support Samsung Apps since it is Samsung family?
I was wondering. On the supported devices list I didn't see i727 on it, the closest was the GS2 LTE. I can't figure how to register my device though. I found an APK of the Samsung Apps app but it won't let me log in.

Google Experience porting

Nexus 5 and Android Kit-Kit are released.Google Experience is a launcher.Who can port it?
Sent from my ST26i using xda app-developers app
As far as things are at this point it doesn't need to be ported, it can be installed on 4.3, 4.2 nd I think 4.1 (I think I saw one in the Galaxy SII forums somewhere, provided you have the apk for the launcher, the apk for the updated Google Now and the updated Play Services. Dearch around in just about every majjor deivice forum and you'll find it.

I'm not entirely sure if this applies to Google Search as well, but people had problems with force closes on the 4.4 DeskClock which was fixed by force stopping and clearing data. Wonder if that could fix the Google Search problem? I haven't tried it yet so...
