I have recently un-installed an app called power amp so I could get the latest version of the app to custom patch it via lucky patcher. Though when i try to reinstall the app again from the market place it shows up as insufficient storage available. I have cheeked and I have a lot of free space to download apps though this app will not download. Other apps on the market will download without any problems.
i have also tried downloading this specific app from the browser but it says "There is a problem parsing the package"
i have tried downloading the apk by copying the file to my phone though that doesn't work either.
Any ideas how i could reinstall this app again? Thanks in advance

Recently there was an updated version of Android Terminal Emulator by Jack Palevich, the free one from Market. But I was unable to install it as it always prompt me "Insufficient Memory". I've more than 100MB free internal memory (using App2sd) and over 5GB free on my SDcard. But it just refuse to let me install. So I tried downloading the apk too and install it using a root manager, but the installation also failed.
So I decided to give up on the app and remove the app. But yet Market still prompts me for an update (and my phone refuse to let me install it). I done a search on "jack" using my root manager to delete all files related with the app and even clear up all apps cache... but still Market prompts me!
What should I do to either:
1. Get this app to install successfully
or
2. Remove this app "cleanly"
or
3. Stop Market from showing me an "Update" for this app when it's already not in my phone?
Phone: Moto Milestone
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Thanks a lot for your help.

I am running illusion rom on Samsung galaxy note 2 t889 4.2.2 any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Basically telling me it won't work because I have no network connection but I do! I haven't been able to figure it out. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and changing around my settings but nothing has worked. I haven't added anything or done anything different Before this started happening so I don't know what's going on someone please help!!!

Hi, I'm having a problem with my updates in Aptoide. I give update and says "Error apk Not Found"
try this one Tampermonkey script which allows you to download apk and obb directly to pc.
only chrome, maelstrom and opera browser are supported.

Aptiode is NOT allowed!
It is considerd warez!

I am trying to install an App which for some reason will not install in the country I am visiting. The App is a free App, but Google Play has blocked it from downloading into this country. I managed to download the app from the evozi apk-downloader but when I click on it in File Manager it will not install and I get an "App will not install." error.
I would like to try and install the app manually but despite all my searching have not been able to come up with a way to do this. I tried copying the apk file to the system/app directory and rebooted, but that did not work. I then downloaded ZipSigner to sign the apk file and put the created opex file in the system/app folder and rebooted again, but still no results. I've tried some other installers but still unable to get it to install, even when I am offline with my GPS off.
How can I manually install an app to bypass the Google app installer?

did you enabled allow installation of apps from sources other than Play store if not go settings> Security> tick unkown sources and try it again it will surely help..and use the file browser from the phone and find the apk that you want to install n click on it and install
hit thanks button if helped
The app I want to install is FlightAware - I travel a lot, hence my desire to install this app before I return to the USA. I found that the ShopSavvy apk also has this problem. Both of these are freeware but somehow they won't install on my phone. My Google account was created in the USA with a USA address and has a USA credit card attached to Google Wallet, but with both apps I just get a "App not installed." error.
I already have the Unknown Sources - Allow installation of Apps from unknown sources Checked and the Verify Apps - Disallow or warn before installation of apps that may cause harm - Unchecked.
hmm then you sure those apks work correctly sometimes errors occur when its incorrectly or incompletely tampered.. or else try this go to settings> application manager>google play store and clear data and clear cache and do the same in google play services and try again

No, that did not work. I am really looking for a more technical solution to explain how to manually install an opp. Is this not possible in Android?

I am assuming your phone is rooted. If not, then it will be better to root it before going further.
Here is a link you can try:

Hi, since the Oreo update I can't find the "Unknown sources" to install APK's freely. I'ts not under "Lock Screen and Security", and I have enabled Chrome in "Applications/Special Access/Install other apps" and I'm trying to install apps from the "Downloads" section of chrome, but it dosn't work this way either.
I was trying to install the Pixel Launcher as seen from here: https://theunlockr.com/2018/03/13/make-samsung-galaxy-s9-look-like-stock-android/
But everytime I try it I get the "<!> Application not installed".
I don't know exactly what says in english, I'm using my phone in spanish.
Any ideas? Thanks!
If you go to Settings-Apps-3 Dots-Special Access-Install Unknown Apps.
They've moved it so only certain apps can install unknown apps
Please help how to fix this problem. This doesn't work, I tried installing Accuweather pro several times. I have the app saved to my Google Drive, I click on the app and I see something called 'Staging App' and then I get this alert ' There was a problem parsing the package'. I currently had an older version of Accuweather pro installed and working fine. I decided to remove the old version and then reinstall it and I received the same alert. FYI the old Accuweather app was installed before the Oreo update.

Have you tried downloading your APP file from Google Drive to your phone then opening the copy on your phone, that should install the .apk
Go to settings on the phone >> apps >> 3 vertical dots at the top right corner >> special access >> install unknown apps >> and there enable the permission from where you are trying to download it.
All thank you,
I found out that you now have to download the app to your phone. Google Drive does not allow you to download and manually install .
Dear sir/madam,
Following your answer, in specific this part, "They've moved it so only certain apps can install unknown apps", perhaps someone could help me out. I use the Firefox Focus browser and this app doesn't show up in the list of apps that are allowed to install unknown apps.
* Does this mean Firefox Focus can't install apps from unknown apps, since it's not on the list?
* And perhaps we can conclude from that it will never be allowed to do so?
* Or would this app not be on this list, because I've never tried installing anything using this browser?
I guess the real question would be, what populates this list?
I hope to hear from you, thanks in advance, all the best.
Form what I've seen, 1st time you try to install apk from an app it asks you if you want to allow it?

That's what I was thinking as well, funny thing is that 'Google Chrome' is in the list and I've never used that browser. Unless it's there, because it's from Google
I have followed the above suggestions and have allowed Chrome to install apps since that's the browser I'm using. The phone says I have downloaded the app but it is not giving me any option to install it? Where did the download go and how can I get it actually installed? This is an app for work.
Edit: Nevermind - I restarted the phone and tried again and it worked. thanks.
I installed an apk app mod on my Samsung galaxy. the apk is an older version of the app but when i went to uninstall the app as usual to install the latest release off google play instead of downloading and installing it just installed the previous apk installed from google which i havent seen before. i have tried clearing the data and using app cleaners such as sd maid but its still installing the unofficial version. i also tried to install a newer version of the app from an apk off google and it wont install at all. i believe that after uninstalling the app that some of the files have not been deleted and google recognises these as the correct app files. using sd maid i traced to this path:
/data/app/~~HQ5E7AhU5J2CuBMCGbfjTg==/com.snapchat.android-PWYp8D9k00ttRuj98fIkTA==
im pretty sure this is what needs deleting to get google to download the official version but due to samsungs security rules i cant delete it. i dont want to root or factory reset my phone
any help is much appreciated
Restart phone?
